GPS SMS Phone Finder
With this app you can just send SMS and you will be able to get the location of the phone.
FEATURES:
- Find your lost phone or your family members phone by sending SMS.
- Searching is done through NETWORK or GPS. Phone with no GPS or disabled can still locate through network.
- No wifi or mobile data needed.
- Allows you to specify allowed contacts to find your phone.
- You can add extra key message for security. ex. -> [locateme pass123]
- The app only sends sms location if the message is in correct format and if the caller is in allowed contacts.
- Searching is only activated during sending locateme SMS. (it doesnt consume power/battery when on background waiting for locateme sms)
HOW TO USE:1. You need to enable location services on your device (Under Settings -> Location services)2. To get the location of the phone with this app installed send sms to that mobile and send -> [locateme] or with key [locateme pass123] (message is case insensitive)3. You will received a reply stating the location in google maps url format.4. Depending on the phone's location search through NETWORK or GPS may vary accuracy.
POSSIBLE REPLIES:1. "Current location (gps/network)[date located]: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=LAT,LONG" (this message shows it was able to get the current location)2. "Last known location (gps/network)[date located]: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=LAT,LONG" (this message was not able to get the current location but instead retrieving the last known location)3. "Sorry unable to find location. Please try again later." (neither network nor GPS was able to locate the phone)
NOTE:
- SMS charges applies to your network.
KNOWN ISSUES:
- Might not work properly if your using 3rd party SMS apps.

I write few reviews, and few apps are as good as this one. It isn't fancy but works perfectly. This one works even if your GPS is in power save, or turned off, it will approximate from wifi and cell tower. If anyone texts you with the pass phrase, it will respond with your GPS coordinates in a clickable Google maps URL. This works even if you don't have a data plan, or in an emergency where the phone may only have phone but no data service. It has very little memory and CPU overhead.
Its waste of time it doesn't work don't bother your self downloading a trash.
A very lightweight app. Going to plant an old phone in my car. And I should be able to locate it when I need it. Uses SMS only no data required.
The app is simple and effective. It does what it said it would do. Its very useful where safety is a concern, for people and property :)
Installed in my samsung note8 and it doesnt work. Target phone just receive a "locateme"
Works as advertised, except that reported position is always sourced from less precise Network, instead of accurate GPS. Even when device has clear view of sky, and other apps on the device are successfully using GPS.
Works! I use it for checking where my kid is - I have installed this on my daughters phone. I send an SMS and get a maps link back, that I click on and is opened in google maps app, nice and simple. The SMS I send to her phone, is received and processed by the app silently - she is not notified - no signal - and will not see the SMS which is processed and gone. So, no distraction for her. Processing depends on cell network but takes about a minute from me sending the SMS to receiving reply with google maps link.
Nice application. Easy fast and accurate. works without any data connection. It only use built in GPS device and SMS service. You can send an sms from any phone with command "locateme" and it will reply with google map link via sms.
Great for when I'm driving around Europe so I no longer need to respond to annoying texts asking where I am :)
Simplest/Easiest/Fastest Application ---Note: It looks very fast for coordinate and not enough to be precise, many times it send last good coordinate , and work better with "AndroiTS GPS" .
This app work only with GPS is turned on. Without GPS turned on it won't work
Fantastic idea, but shows that my daughter's phone is about a mile away from where it actually is.
Does not work reliably on Android 6. Worked on one device with Android 5

Not working. Tested with no key and with key and no details were sent.

Need to set default sim for dual sim phones, hope this is fixed. Also it keeps sms instead of hiding/deleting it

google maps does not seem to recognize coordinate information. cannot use it anymore.
After reading the settings more and inputing the keyword, the app works great. This is a good app to make sure love ones are safe. Recommend you allow a command to turn on gps, include a panic button and for app to reply via msg if sim was change then app would be perfect. Keep it up and hope you include these features
