The compass has excellent damping characteristics making it very easy to use compared to non-damped versions that are so jittery. It would be great if the dev would add a night screen that has only compass headings in very large fonts and all screen graphics in pure red. This would allow for use in astronomy, night hiking, etc, where night vision must be preserved with red screen such as in star chart apps. The GPS features of this app are also very high quality.
This might be a perfectly fine app. However, the first screen that came up ( the first screen as see in the description here ) displayed various satellites in various colors. I presume green is good and red is bad but I'm not sure what yellow means and I have NO IDEA what grey signifies. AND THERE IS NO LEGEND EXPLAINING THE COLORS. When an application leaves something that basic out I pretty much assume the whole thing has been sloppily designed and programmed. I will look for a different GPS status app that makes itself clear.
Looks really good. Resembles the displays on commercial GNSS applications. Would be good if there was some back up information. E.g. Details of satellites (which system GPS Gallilleo GLONASS etc) and any RAIM or SBAS in use. Also what failure modes or warnings are there if signal is lost. Galaxy Note 10
Very useful app. Wish it also showed if my device is also equipped with other navigation receiver and if it is capable of switching from GPS to Glonass, Galileo and others.
Great app,no problem😄I'm very picky,very detail oriented. It's the first app after 500(using 22 and because of this app deleted 2 others) different apps I have tried the last 9 months that's worth my time to rate!If you can I would love to see many background colors to choose from and fuchsia when the lady uses it to help out👣
Still really painful and intrusive startup ads even after update. And stop asking me to rate the app every time I want to close it. DELETE! Older... Really painfull start up ads with no way to stop them. AND you don't have to ask me if I'm really sure I want to close the app; what a waste of time!!!
I have an App that requires Geolocation, even though I have high speed land line the App would not work bc I live in a very rural area, very remote, after spending 55 days looking for solutions this App solved the problem instantly, just leave the App running when using the App that requires geolocation. Wow thank you so much.
Looks to be a great piece but i haven't been able to change the settings especially changing the units of measure from latlong to northings and eastings. If this can be embedded, i think we are good to go.
This is a great app for what it does. It's great for diagnostics of your GPS signal if you're having trouble with it. It also gives interesting technical information about GPS that you're receiving signal from and stuff like that.
Great and very accurate. All the information displayed are very important for navigation. Display is also very well designed and easy to read. A great tool for navigation.
Really an excellent app. Does exactly what it should. A lot of info available on an intuitive display. Easy interface and fast. No bloat.
Nice app, I used it specifically to locate a GPS antenna for new radio install in my car. I will keep it just because it is so useful and easy to use,with good information. I tried several similar apps and found this to be best for my needs.
Works great, nice intuitive interface. Great job 😀Used to be the case when i first reviewed it, but now, though upon launch for a fraction of a second it displays the GPS status correctly, as GPS fix, then it says perpetually "waiting for fix", even though there are gazillions of satellites received and all other apps receive good gps fix!
Great for measuring GPS performance. Doesn't intend to optimize or second guess gps results, doesn't interfere with the system being tested. Just what I wanted!
Just started using GPS Status. I think it has identified my Spigen case as the cause for GPS problems. I checked status with and without the case - big difference. Will check tomorrow when hiking.
Excellent app, well written and useful however the ads are super annoying. No option to buy. Also the app constantly asked to be rated. I did rate it a 5 but because of the constant nagging I dropped it to a 4
The compass is much slower and "jumpier" than the other GPS status app I tried. Seems based on known North somewhat less accurate. Interface a bit clunky.
I really like the app however it needs some instructions. Like when it's indicating error message I would like to know what the error is I would gladly give this a 4-star rating and it really deserves it but it's just lacking the instructions
UI functionality not as intuitive as it could be but otherwise a very good app. Lots of functionality.
Great app easy to use nothing hard to figure out wish they had a heading an altitude digital display with the speedometer. Other than my little nitpick great app!
It's work perfect, exept compas that nages to perform calibration procedure each time aplication stated, but this thing mostly belongs to hardware i beliave
It seems to work great I showed it to my friends while we out on puget sound and they were impressed with it accuracy.
Great GPS Tool. Does everything, clean presentation, and simple options. Recommended for any device with a GPS and compass.
Seems to work great but it has no feature to change to imperial for accuracy. I need it to have "feet" instead of "meters". Will give 5 stars once that is implemented.
A lot of data. GPS/compass toggle is useful. I like the sun and moon position feature, besides other satellites.
Excellent. Seems to be working 100% with many fantastic tools. Very impressed. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Wish people would state what devices they are using when reviewing an App. It helps the recipient a great deal. Thank you. Update. 20/10/2021. Still working 100% on my Samsung A20. Fantastic app with lots of detail and information. Great app that has lots of work and thought put into it.
