GPX Logger
Intended to be hands off, its ideal for recording your latest walk, run or cycle.
GPX Logger records files onto your memory card in the GPX file format, which can be readily imported into most mapping software.
As it only requires low end hardware (Froyo 2.2 and above) it can be used in more adventurous projects such as model plane or rocket black box recording.

Easy to use, nicely made. Only problem is the time in the app seems to be GMT and at the time I'm writing it's BST. I've looked at the time settings but that didn't change anything. My phone time is right, can it get the time from that? Thanks Thank you for responding!

-edit: reinstalled recently, '\n' is now used for new lines instead of '\r', thanks! You're the best! Love it. Simple, single-purposed, works as well as a GPS can, and GPX is a very common format so that I can double click it and it opens up in Viking for me to visualize and see statistics on. My favorite thing is that it's so simple in purpose, concerned with being exactly what it says: a "GPX Logger". I hope to use it for quite a while yet. Thanks!
How can ı extract the values of Bearing direction at each epoch from this application ?
Does not record at the background, stops working. Tried different ways to make it working. No success. Useless.
would be better if speed was in km/h and not m/h noone uses m/h
The only thing I did not enjoy was the speed being off.... aside from that it's amazingly on point

Not many compatible app to read the speed of 10 hz gpx files. There should be an feature added to read speed on gpx files within the app.
Nice and simple GPS logger. Does what it says on the tin, well.
Have to hire a lawyer to understand all the legal stuff you must agree to before using the thing. It wants your identity, I guess for the legal stuff. Makes me too nervous to use it so I uninstalled it without granting any permissions.
Seems to work very well. Just one oddity: It puts CR instead of LF into the files, just like Mac OS 9. This should be fixed. It doesn't log info about the precision or amount of satelites found. Otherwhise quite nice.
Fabulously accurate, fast and simple app. In my opinion its only failng is that it doesn't display DISTANCE TRAVELED. Please add this and it would be PERFECT!

I love this app it is light and simple. the design is just what i was looking for start, stop, save in gpx. I downloaded 10 or 15 of these apps and none of them did this simple thing. and if they did do it you had to jump thur many loops to record and save the file in gpx. PLEASE DON'T ADD JUNK TO IT There tons of apps that do everything you can think of if you want to read long manuals. but this app one of a kind. light and simple and well thought out.
Great low power simple app. More accurate geolocation than just about anything else I have tried and no annoying ads. Only extra thing I want is way points.
Does what is needs to, properly. Few apps can claim that.
App logs gps traces nicely, but crashes every time I try to share my traces. Any help is appreciated. Edit 8/14: App crashes when I select the share option.
