Annoyed. That's how I feel coming from an iPhone 8 to a Samsung s10e. On iOS the app let's you post items with ease and precision. Features like "quality of the item" are non existent. Also, the messages don't load properly. When I receive a message, I get an email and a notification on the icon of the app, yet when I open my messages (that's if it loads), they are nowhere to be found! I must close the app because there isn't an option to reload the page on the app. Please fix your app!!!
Currently running the latest version and it's by far the worst running app on my phone and maybe the worst running app that I've ever had on any phone. It constantly freezes, crashes and requires me to force quit. This has been happening for the entirety of the 4 years that I've had the app on my phone and you'd think they'd fix it well within that amount of time, but no. As it was nothing but a waste of space, I deleted it.
This app needs another update. I made the most recent update and I still have problems. First, when selecting photos to upload from library, it doesn't give me an option to select my most recent photos. It sees photos at random and I have hundreds across multiple albums. Second, when I scrolled and finally found the photos I wanted to upload, all I got was a "spinning wheel" when it was time to publish my listing. Please fix this for Samsung Note 10+
The mobile android app is an absolute dumpster fire. I find myself constantly returning to the browser to utilize features that won't work on the mobile app. As of late whenever I open the app it immediately crashes. Please for the love of all things good just put some time and effort into it or let someone that'll do it right do it. The app isn't worth the space on your phone since you'll end up finding yourself using the browser regardless.
Honestly at this point, 1 star is being incredibly generous about the app, the platform works ok on desktop but the same experience doesn't carry over to the app at all. Messages never disappear, I can't post anything within the app because it won't upload photos (no matter where I am, cellular or WiFi). Also had multiple perfectly good listings deleted with the only reason specified being that they were "inaccurate". The current app is an astonishing waste of time, stick to the desktop version
Needs a bit more work as its way too basic, we need easier navigation, convenience in searching for specific categories, different brands, colour and size. Edit. Still see no further improvement. Extremely slow process and not much better for the user. Nowhere near comparable to the website. Alot more work must be done otherwise reviews will always be at 2 stars average. 2/5
App always seem to have problems and they aren't being fixed or havent been for a long time. The inbox notification never disappears, even after to check all your messages. When checking out the dry clean posts like the latest grail steal etc. you view one item and then go back to the feed then next few items are loaded but the rest of the whole page is blank. If I want to look at something I have to save it to my favourites then got to them and find all the items among my already saved.
So buggy always! When I type what I want to search, products come up and then it freezes, CONSTANTLY. Sent messages don't actually send and have to resend. Photos to post to items selling are a shuffled mess. Doesn't allow you to select from recent photos, they're all just randomly from whatever photos you have saved across your photo albums at random. I'm @ a point where I get sick of trying to even use this app anymore. If fixed, I would use so much more. But at this point its about useless
Rewriting this review. THE slowest/worst app i have ever encountered. Constant crashing. Horrible mechanics. Anytime i try to sell something and add photos it jumbles all of the pictures i have on my phone into one file and i have to sort through everything to find them. Then when clicking the designer choice, the app crashes and goes back to its homepage. PLZ FIX THIS FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST
Incredible app in my experience so far. I've bought and sold plenty with almost no problems so far, aside from people lying about items when I was new to the app, got a shirt with some holes in it without realizing. The app does get slow and buggy after a few months of using it, but I just uninstall and reinstall it again and it works fine. - I highly suggest this app but you have to be cautious with some people on it. Overall great experience.
Best of its kind. One star down for not enough Europe listings (but that's not the devs' fault), but mainly for the slow thumbnail load times. I'm not sure if it loads full size pictures, but upon searching, it takes about 10s to load the listing thumbnails on both a high speed wifi and 4G. Other than that, no complaints.
older phones beware, a lot of features didn't work on my google pixel xl. the app was literally unusable. upgrading to a 2 xl solved nearly all of them though! only issues with the app are the price comparison feature is missing, you can't list the condition or color of an item or the when creating a new listing like you canb on the website, and sometimes when editing/creating listings the publish button doesn't work. also needs a dark mode desperately
Terrible interface - full of glitches. Cant even scroll through a seller's store without the app fully freezing, constant purchase issues, messages dont update unless you close the app, cannot view any dry clean articles without launching the browser. I have a pixel 4, but this app still runs like garbage. Its always been the same, never has any improvements.. as a daily user of the website this app is a huge disappointment and has remained the same for as long as ive had it. Stick to a computer
App crashes regularly, messages don't send. Better off with web but a shame because overall layout is good. Also boo to binding offers!! I get it is frustrating for sellers fielding offers but I've bought many items because my unexpected offer was accepted - offers I wouldn't have made if binding because I wasn't that set in the item. I think it will end up being worse for sales across the board.
Absolutely love this app. You can find basically anything you want, any year, any size, any condition and know you're getting the best price for it and it's totally authenticated without the need for an authentication centre. The only nitpicky thing I would say about this is that it won't let me access the website or certain parts of the app with my VPN on. Other than that, amazing app. Never going back to StockX.
The in-app messaging system is terrible. You'll send a message and then leave the chat, but the message randomly disappears. This happens several times before it will actually register as sending the message. It makes it impossible to conduct business inside the app. Great going!
Totally un usable app. I don't know why it force closes every time I try to tap a message in my inbox but on their website it works just fine. Seems like they haven't updated basic functions in a while for anything other than iPhone I suppose but having a bad rated app doesn't look well for you guys. Stick to using a web browser to access their site directly cause whoever they got coding their apps ain't right.
The app is so bad if you are using it to sell items. Most of the time the time the listings do not list when you publish them you just see the loading symbol going round forever. Sometimes after waiting you can check your listings and see it there. Fix it please. If you are using the app just to browse then it works just fine. They really need to fix the app as I would assume most people will use the app for listing items for sale.
When I go to select my photos to sell an item from my library my entire camera roll is shuffled and I cannot find any of the most recent pictures I am looking for. Also sometimes messages will not send and you get no message failed to send notification. Sometimes when you fill out a post then go to publish it will say "uploading photos and wont upload, tried waiting for 10 minutes and still nothing. Closer app then tried again and still says uploading photos and I cannot post my item.
Love Grailed, but this app needs serious work. I gave it a try for a few months, but was often frustrated with the number of crashes and the lack of feature parity to web (e.g. why can't I create saved filters?). I've decided to go back to mobile web and have found that the shopping experience is much better. Only negative: the full screen popup promoting the app every time I shop - the frequency on this needs to be capped! Guess I'll try the app again in 2021? Lol
Better off using the web version. Messages don't actually send when you send them via the app. App crashes when posting a listing or changing shipping prices. Also when an offer is received it is unclear what you are making as the counter offer. Only thing its good for is getting message notifications. March 17/19: messages still do not work from the app, despite the reply saying they do. March 21/19: Posted an item, went to post another, after tapping publish on the second it loads endlessly.
I've been repeatedly trying to purchase something with the site giving me the same error, as I have read in other reviews. Great to link up with sellers and buyers with similar fashion taste, but useless and defunct as an actual marketplace for transactions to occur. I've attempted to contact support only to receive back blunt auto responses. Nothing is wrong with PayPal, paypal is doing perfectly fine. Debug and update your interface please.
So many issues it's nuts. It's a waste of time to use the app for anything but messaging, because that's the only thing that works. Editing listings is impossible as the publish button does nothing, and making a listing only works about a quarter of the time.
Just downloaded the app, and now deleting the app. Unable to click anything under the "read" tab. I click and nothing happens. Also unable to search for the goods. I type what I'm looking for and hit the enter key, nothing happens. All other tabs work fine, except the settings button and the safety and protection button under the "me" tab. 👎
The app was released prematurely. Many bug fixes that need to happen. Features missing that the website has. App was working till recent update. Now nothing loads. Cant do anything Update: still not working. The only app I've had on my phone that crashes. Who ever set up the app did a poor job. All software is up to date.
Marketplace is great, app is horrendous. Crashes regularly, incredibly slow when it is running. Anytime I use any search filters the app just struggles. When the app does work (patience required) the idea is well thought out, transactions work well with PayPal. Could easily be 4 stars, but frustration far outweighs. Will still use however because there's no other marketplace where I can view and buy new/used products like on Grailed.
The access to filters isn't ideal, you have to search a random brand first and then select one of your saved filters (made on dekstop, because you can't save one on mobile). But the most upsetting are the bugs due to the non-native nature of the app. Sometimes you make an action, like sending a message or making a listing, and you don't know why it doesn't really send it.
