Grammarly Keyboard — Type with confidence

*updated review* While I do love grammarly & I recommend it to others as it helps expand their overall vocabulary, I have noticed that the keyboard freezes a lot, it shuts itself out while you are typing, the keyboard remains up even after you have backed out of every other app, & the letter buttons remain enlarged regardless of how much more you are attempting to add to the message. I will be uninstalling for these reasons. (I use the free version, unsure if this still occurs when you pay)

It's a wonderful app and has made typing so much easy, however, it acts up like crazy and corrects words in the wrong way. It freezes mid sentence and may take few minutes before it acts normal. Sometimes, it doesn't pop up no matter how many times you click the cursor. It gets frustrating and I hope something gets done about this because I am tired of constantly deleting and rewriting a statement over and over again. I even had to upgrade to premium. Please

I love Grammarly and has been using it on my laptop for at least 3 years. I downloaded the app, expecting same level of quality service, but it is not. The app, especially the keyboard needs a lot of work. It keeps detecting correct words with corrections and if you press the suggested correction , it distorts the word even more. Please fix the keyboard's correction technique and other bugs that I have not explored yet.

Im useing the premium version. It's perfect. But there are 3 things that I want to say. At first, the Persian language doesn't exist on the Grammarly keyboard. The second is about the two-step verification that there is no country code for Iran (+98) on the list. The last one is about why there is no automatic night mode for Android keyboard. If we ignore these, this software is excellent.

I am using this app for about 3 years now and I was really happy in the first two years of using it. But recently from a year, the app keyboard has been crashing. It's not too serious but while typing my novel, it jumps to previous lines which is a problem. And it lags too much. It sometimes doesn't even open the keyboard. It doesn't switch to the punctuation page and it also doesn't respond for a while. If those are fixed, this app is a straight blessing for me who is a writer.

I love Grammarly on laptop. However, when I am working on Google Docs for example, the Grammarly thing that detects the errors takes up half the space for the suggested words and is a bit clumsy to use. Additonally, it keeps autocorrecting words incorrectly even though the word is correct or during inappropriate moments. For example, everytime I try to type the word "years", it autocorrects to "year's" Other than that, I love the app.

The app is nice and all but my issue is that the corrections don't save. I'll be writing a paper, stop return to it and the corrections aren't saved. The app keeps telling me to correct errors I already used the app to correct. Overall I think I may just be better without it. Don't waste your time with this app. Because the free version of it is no different than using the correction feature on google docs. At least on that it saves the corrections and is also free.

The app works exactly as stated in the "About this App". It's an amazing experience to many of us new. To get the best out of the keyboard, users may activate switching between keyboards. Grammarly Grammar, once activated, can run a check across large volumes of text (typed elsewhere), suggesting spellings, punctuation, synonyms etc. It's an authoritative app. It has no rival yet. The developers may consider adding a T9 PhonePad, and Handwriting Pad to enhance text input.

I rather enjoy the use of Grammarly. My only issue is that sometimes the keyboard gets stuck on my screen, causing me to have to turn my phone off and back on to clear it. Other than that, it is a rather decent app. I have also needed to delete and re-download the app a few times because sometimes the keyboard doesn't load up at all.

Loaded last update alot better in swipe tying still not enough to use. My view, but better! Downloaded the updates, still bad swipe over and over but never right, compared to others.. I wish they would get this I would use, until they do I can't use.. Great for spelling, but you can't swipe words, even typing they are not accurate, never gets it right, swipe is a total waste. I will come back if you can correct this. I had to retype every word at least 3 times. In this post!

I like the functionality of the app, however, I am disappointing by the lack of options inside the app. (Automatic space after full stops and other punctuations, an option to delete the entire world when pressing on the "delete" button, regulating how long to press the keys to activate the alternative symbols) I believe that these settings are essential to any keyboard-app.

I really like Grammarly but it seems like the more I type a sentence, or the longer my message is, the bogged down the app seems to get. The keyboard will start lagging and it will periodically hold all of the keys I've typed in limbo for a few seconds before fi ally figuring itself out. It's weird and very distuptive. However, it does work very well as a tool to check what was written and how to properly fix whatever minor or major grammar issues you night not know you even have.

I would say this app is the best. However, it only has one problem.(Always crashing mid-way of writing, and jumps to the upper paragraph. At times, it becomes slow af that I pull my hair in frustration despite using a high-end device. This is just too frustrating, pls fix this bug. 🤢

When you go to correct a word, the app jumps to the end of the sentance and adds the same word you were just trying to correct. It jumps around adding and doubling things and you end up taking 10 times longer to correct grammerlys gibberish than to proofread and correct myself. Even after it tells me everything is correct i still find mistakes it didnt catch. Most frustrating app i have ever used.

I find the Android version very difficult to use. Unlike Gboard it is not intuitive. It doesn't acknowledge thewords in my ordinal dictionary. It's just all around frustrating. I wish there was the ability to use it like on the pc where is not your keyboard but only analyzes. I miss the analysis I used to get when i used the pc for most my writing. These days, due to hand issues, I use talk to text, mostly, or swipe (which Grammarly doesn't do well at all).

I have been a massive fan and user of Grammarly since the start of the pandemic; I decided to try it due to the persuasive advertisments I've seen. And it it is truly helping me in developing my writing skills. However, I am not nearly satisfied in downloading the app on my phone since it doesn't show some writing issues unlike the extension one, which is available in laptops or computers. Beyond that, I recommend Grammarly for everyone, majorly the Grammarly extension.

It's a very good app for detecting grammatical errors, in fact, I'm using it to type right now. Though, this app really is nifty tool for writing, it does have its down sides. Here's some of what I don't like: Firstly, whenever I want to find a synonym for a particular word, I have to wait a while for it, or it may not even work. Second, sometimes when I type, the word I'm typing on glitches out and mix with another word or its letters duplicate itselff (Just like what happened here).

The synonym feature doesn't work, it doesn't suggest anything. The sswipe feature is frustruating with its astonishing times of inconsistencies. Very poorly programmed not gonna even consider for the premium. If the document is filled with words beyond 20k then even getting the Keyboard to appear is a headache. If you connect it with internet, it hangs like a lot and slows down like takes 2-3 min to go ahead. If you don't connect it with internet, it doesnt do anything. Like punctuation mark

The keyboard required for this app to work, it seems like it purposely comes up with lame swipe outcomes so it can show you how much is correcting but in actuality it just agitated me to the point of uninstalling the app, even after paying. I've kept it on my PC where it belongs, but I don't want it on my phone's QWERTY. Annoying AF.

It's a fine app, it just isn't up-to-date with all of the text lingo that is used by many people. It's annoying when I want to write "jk" and it corrects it to "JJ." I know it's not the developer's fault because the keyboard's intention is to make everything you write grammatically correct, but I wish it would allow you to type those certain things without it correcting all of it. I also wished Grammarly allowed you to see the papers you wrote on their website on a PC, on their app.

Grammarly is an excellent choice for making sure that your writing is error-free from grammatical mistakes. It will tell you the tone of your writing and intended audience. Great for improving your writing skills, and how you approach difference audiences. If desired, you can ignore the suggestions giving you complete control of your writing. Recommended if you do a lot of writing especially to different groups of people.

Good grammar checker, not a good keyboard. Halves my typing speed and has autocorrect that butchers entire sentences. It is way too aggressive on its autocorrecting. It should be suggesting more than correcting. I am a fast typer, so maybe slow typers don't have this issue but it is still an issue I have. Edit: I can't seem to access the link in the dev reply, putting it into a browser just searches instead of going to the site.

Very nice advanced spell checker and vocabulary correction keyboard application. Only suitable for PCs and laptops not for Smartphone Devices. It lacks clipboard to keep copied texts which is very important in any Android Smartphone Device. But it can be used to edit mistakes in sentences and paragraphs.

I am a premium customer and just installed this app which is not useful at all. This app forced me to switch my keyboard from gbord to grammarly which they don't have my second language in the option. So now I have to switch between the keyboard just because they like grab my information from their own keyboard. Also I can't change the size of the keyboard. Shameful.

It has been extremly slow recently, and will completly freeze at times to the point I have to change keyboards. It will randomly glitch and jumble words together, and will autocorrect things incorrectly very often. It's very handy, but there are so many bugs it makes it hard to use ):

While I do enjoy grammarly fixing my mistakes, helping me out and improving my writing skills, I'd really like there to be a trail payment to see if it's worth it. I would really like there to be a pay once and not to have to pay monthly because I am tight on money at times, so I would love to have that.

It's ok that you don't support Grammarly functions in other languages but at least allow adding the keyboard so I can use the characters! Now I have to change keyboard app to use my other language. And I need to switch between the two constantly. I guess the English-only market is big enough to not give a f*kk. I love grammarly in my PC but I'll use another keyboard on my phone to avoid this annoyance.

Grammarly has improved my writing and grammar significantly by correcting my writing and giving me an explanation as to why my wording or grammar is not correct. My first takes have been with far fewer mistakes than before. I have made a massive improvement because of this great, intuitive app. I continue to learn and appreciate the work Grammarly is doing to capture the emotional side of your writing. This app has had the most significant positive effect on my writing skill and confidence.

it's a great and useful app. it's almost perfect but unlike my built in keyboard, grammarly doesn't go all the way over to the status bar area when the screen is in landscape mode which is kind of inconvenient but the app is great it just need more optimization.

It is a very useful app and it has helped in improving my writing tremendously. The drawbacks are that if you are not vigilant, it may sometimes distort some words, and also it doesn't seem to have a memory for your commonly used words or sentences.
