Dropping from 5* to 2* because of lack of support. It needs to be updated to support newer OS's. As it stands now, it crashes at indeterminate points depending on what you're running as I've tested on two devices. One crashes at initial load, the other crashes when trying to load an individual 'app' within the program.
Cockstar never ceases to amaze. Rating one star because, like always, what was once a great addition to the GTA franchise is now nothing more than a bugged out PoS. On an older phone I'm able to at least get to the LSC cutscene before it crashes, but on my current phone I can't even open the app before it force closes itself. Thanks for letting us keep our old plates, I guess. Too bad I don't use them much anymore.
Hasn't loaded anything constantly crashing. I've deleted it and re-download it back I don't even want to count how many times I've being doing that and there would be times I would go months with the app off my phones, from now to the past two years. Please fix your bugs please... I've been using this app for many years off
The app loads like trash, as others have said. It's the exact same issue for all of us. I can open the app and the iFruit logo pops up, but not even 5 seconds later my screen turns to black and it reverts to my home screen. Why require an external app outside of the game for a component if it's not going to be maintained? I get that the game is old and the devs have other priorities, but if it's not being maintained/reviewed then it is useless. This being chops only method of training is cheap.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD DOSE NOT WORK!! I used to be able to use it and it would work perfectly. Now every time I go to use it it doesn't open it loads then crashes. My phone popped up clear cache because the app had a bug (first time that happened) but that didn't work after I cleared the cache. To sum it up Don't waste your time downloading this app its does not work at all
What everyone says about this app is true. If you're not struggling to log in for the first time with a password you KNOW is correct, you're struggling to tolerate the misleading design. This app is considerably large (around 140 MB) to be nothing more than a launchpad to your browser for most of the other "apps", with the exception of the LS Customs app and being able to play with Chop. Apart from customizing license plates for your most recently used cars on GTA Online (which are curiously expensive to order in-game; $105,000 or so per tag), actual car modification is unreasonably limited. Playing with Chop is pretty fun though, and the mini-games are good for killing time and bonding with Chop outside of GTAV, as you can change his collar's appearance and raise his in-game happiness level. The UI does look as if it's been ported over from the last gen consoles' versions, so whatever issues we had back in 2014 likely followed us to 2018, but if you've got the patience and space on your phone, it's worth a look.
It's a novel idea for interaction when you aren't playing the actual game but it's just such a poor experience. The controls are slow and it doesn't help that they can be very buggy. Not to mention, often times the perspective makes it hard to control objects on screen. I'd like this feature more if it made sense in the modern app economy and had been tooled to work kore effectively.
Got the app to train Chop, and it's fun when it works, however the beach minigame is unplayable as the game crashes every time I touch somebody. Game also sometimes crashes randomly for no reason at all. Also have a problem in the protect Franklin's car minigame: I sometimes lose the ability to move anywhere for several seconds, leaving the Ballas to destroy the car while I'm helpless. Surprised to see such a low level of polish on something from Rockstar, even if it's just a small mobile game
While I love this app idea and the little bonuses you get in game, I just think there are too many problems with the technology behind it right now. It was problematic getting it set up in the first instance and now every time I try take Chop for a walk on one of the levels, the app automatically just shuts it's self down. Besides that I think the idea is brilliant and can't wait to see where they take it in future
As of this date, the app is broken. It won't open, it just takes you to the loading page briefly before crashing and returning you to your home screen. The only thing that I will miss about this app is using it to color my default wheels. This was never a great app because of Rockstar's refusal to update or produce anything worthwhile in terms of user interactivity, but now it's just a waste of storage space. This app had been on my phone since 2013. RIP.
I'm not certain why this app still exists on the store... it hasn't recieved an update in years, frequently crashes and if you do manage to get in it really isn't worth all the time you just spent trying. I just wasted an hour and a half attempting it myself so that i could change my number plate, not worth it. Rockstar are experienced enough that it shouldn't be this hard to use, and all it really needs is a little bit of attention. Sad, as it could be a really helpful little companion app.
This app hasn't worked for almost a year now and y'all don't even care. I can't sign in it keeps saying the same thing. The error message says I have to sign in on a computer because my account was locked for too many failed attempts but it's lying! I'm putting in the right login and I logged into my social from my computer. It still won't let me sign it. Fix your app it is trash 🗑 November 11, 2021 🗑 Feb 18,2022 and it still doesn't work!🚮
Used to work fine, but now it just crashes everytime I open los santos customs, very disappointed.(UPDATE) I found a fix, just fill a cheap 10 car garage with random cars off the street no customizations and then you should be able to add a plate to a car of your choice. All you have to do is get into all 10 of the cheap vehicles drive out and then back in, rinse and repeat. Then it resets whatever cars you used before the street wheels update!
The app used to work very well. You can customize your cars for online and play with chop. The app however no longer Loads on my pixel 3. It acts like it will open, shows the ifruit symbol for a few seconds, and then closes back to the main screen. Is there any other information needed to resolve this? My version is fully updated
Rockstar this app keeps crashing every time I try to use it..can you guys please fix it, I want to be able to customize the license plate on my cars on my GTA 5 online account on my Xbox One..it's very frustrating that this app isn't working...if your not going to fix it, then can you please update the game itself adding this feature in please.. people clearly want to be able to use this feature to customize their game experience myself included especially gamers new to the online experience!😑
Kind of a neat app that you can use to tweak your vehicles and other things in GTA: Online. Downloaded specifically to create a custom license plate which worked but the app stopped working a few months later when I wanted to create another one. Didn't find it worth trying to fix so I just stopped using it. It's a cool concept but it's VERY extra considering what it is. It might be a good app if you're a diehard fan of GTA: Online and play it almost everyday but it may stop working randomly.
I love the idea of synchronizing our reality with a video game. How we can change in-game things outside of our console. This app still requires heavily development (I mean chop looks awful. The animations are freaky) but overall, I do have much respect for Rockstar for taking it one step further in integrating technology for entertainment purposes
Great... For about 5 Minutes. It continuously crashes my phone, basically destroying my UI. I gave it a full 24 hours and I continued to have issues even when not using the app or having it run in the background. My issues stopped after uninstalling the app. Clicking anything but LS customs and chop takes you to your browser to Rockstar's website which never works or stays on one screen with nothing else to do, nothing to click. I do not recommend.
Was great years ago but now is utterly unreliable, a billion dollar company can't keep it updated and working correctly. I can start the app but 1 second later after launching it, the app crashes. I just want to make some licenses plates and color the default rims of my cars but I sadly can't do that no more. Like come on RockStar/Take Two or who ever is in charge of these things your apps and games!!!!
