GraphicAudio Access – Audiobook Entertainment

I LOVE GraphicAudio... However, this app leaves a lot to be desired. Every time i pause, it starts the chapter over, and when chapters are broken up into 7 hour chunks it is infuriating. This app needs some serious TLC. Edit: Just saw that on May 9 they added in app messaging and push notifications. Meanwhile, I'm seeing people complain about playback issues going back 2 years. Glad to see their developers prioritize the important issues 🙄

Love the app, except it rewinds quite a bit when you exit even if you pause first. Would also like an option where I can review the books I've bought. All in all I love the graphic audio books I've bought thus far, and coming from someone who normally dislikes audio books that's quite something. Thanks for the experience!

Content from GA is great. The app is really buggy all kinds of issues from unable to download purchased books UI problems, the app freezing and having to be force stopped. The playback is always restarting the book making it a hassle to find where I left off when each book is separated into 6+ hour long segments.

I loved listening to this, all the voice actors were wonderful and the extra sounds like doors opening and explosions made it really come alive. Only reason I didn't give a 5 was because quite frequently, like every few minutes, the sound would cut out.

Graphic audio is great 5 stars plus. The app has an issue though. When you get calls while playing audio most time the app forgets where you are at and goes back to the last place you stopped it at. It's pretty annoying.

Poor audio book experience. The audio books themselves are fine but it does a poor job of retaining progress. Pause it for more than a few minutes and when you resume it'll backtrack to a previous point in time, so I skip it to where it was before. Next time it goes backward it does so to the exact point I had skipped forward to previously, which... Is backwards from where I had previously paused,ie the start of my PREVIOUS continuous session. Please correct.

I love Graphic Audio, but the app is horrible! Every time you stop playback, it goes back by about 30 minutes. As my daily commute is about half an hour, this means I'm constantly listening to the same part! Unless of course you keep skipping forward until you eventually find the part you don't remember, and this is not very safe when driving on the motorway!

The content from GA is great. The app could use some work though, specifically in playback. When starting the app and beginning playback, it reverts the starting point to an earlier time, making it a nuisance to find your place. I had hoped downloading the content would solve this problem, but it's still an issue. Android also doesn't seem to recognize the audio playback as one that should natively stay on in the background. This exacerbates the playback starting point issue.

As many others have noted, when pausing or closing the app, your progress gets reset to the previous time you paused or closed out. This is very irritating and makes your books difficult to enjoy. If this issue was corrected, there would be no issues however. Navigation is easy and obviously, the audiobooks offered are excellent. Truly hoping the playback glitch is corrected so I can continue to enjoy Graphic Audio books.

The app is perfectly reasonable -- there's not a lot to make this kind of audiobook player special. The content, however -- Graphic Audio's full-cast complete dramatizations -- is remarkably good. It did take me a while to get used to hearing movie-style soundtrack music in this format, but while different it isn't bad and might actually be good. And the voice acting and direction is quite strong. It helps that I started with books that are Hugo-worthy writing: the Terra Ignota series.

Good with a few nitpicks. First, I wish titles weren't chopped up into different parts. Second, the app had a tendency not to keep my place quite right so I'd have to jump back to it. No ads on the app, just a few in the audio at the end of each part. Still i had a freaking blast listening to Mistborn through it. 10/10

Years later no better. ☹️ I have been purchasing graphic audio books for years. I have purchased over 200 books and I remember when I could download them and play them on a audio book app that actually worked. I believe its been long enough for graphic audio to develope a good app but I dont believe they are capable of it. Just throw in the towel and let the users who pay for your product download the book and play it using whatever player they want. I like your productions. I hate the app.

Guys, please note: still a lot of issues where audio jumps to a previous point after pausing and playing. Very frustrating trying to find where I'm actually up to. -App will randomly start playing whilst paused after: the end of a phone call, turning off my alarm, sometimes even just unlocking phone. -App will even randomly start playing audio AFTER closing the app!! These are the issues after updating and reinstalling from latest update. Please fix!

The quality of the actual productions is wonderful. However, the app leaves a lot to be desired. Anytime I pause with my headset, I have to open the app back up to resume playing and even then, it resumes further back than when I paused. Same goes for anytime I've closed the app and then open it up again later. Additionally, a bookmark feature would be incredibly useful.

Don't get me wrong, I love everything about GraphicAudio. However, lately the app has been acting up a bit. It has a tendency to back up to wherever it thinks I last left off. It has literally backed up more than an hour to a point I had already listened and I've had to take time to try and find where I actually am. I've taken too memorizing the time code just so I can get as close to where I am in the story. Other than that issue, love the work and productions! 👍

Needs some updating The audio quality is good and the selection of titles are awesome. But everytime I try to play my current book, it doesn't play from where I was last left off. I don't want to download the whole title because I dont want it to eat a huge chunk of my device's memory. Would rate it 5 stars if this issue is fixed.

Fairly easy to use, but not many features available other than listening to your books. You need to go to the website to search for new titles and purchase them.

This review is only for the app. GraphicAudio content is superb and deserves 5 stars, but the app is dreadful. Often when you resume playing the app will decide you should start over at the beginning of the book. With Android Auto it gets worse. The click to go back 30 seconds may do just that. Or it may go back 12 minutes. You never know until you press it. Buy the wonderful GA content, download it, and play it in an app of your choice (Podcast Addict works great), but avoid this app.

I love GraphicAudio! The only issue I have is when the book is paused, on hitting play the time jumps to a different starting point and I have to search for where I left off. Update: 3/22/22 The bug has been fixed. GraphicAudio is great!

Having problem with the last down loads I just purchased. It's like playing a scratched cd. Would like to talk to someone about fixing it. I enjoy listening to graphic audio. Been doing it for years since yall first came out. This is the first time it has had any problems. Thanks Post note.. It's fixed. Thanks, now this trucker can drive on down the road with a movie in my mind.
