Gravity Pull - VR Puzzle Game

Gravity Pull is an immersive VR puzzle experience for Google Cardboard that uses an innovative input technique called VR-Step. You don't need external controllers to move in Gravity Pull, just walk in place!
Solve 16 mind-bending physical puzzles by maneuvering objects through space. You'll need to carefully explore each room and view things from multiple angles. Can you get to the end?

VR-Step changes the way players can explore virtual environments with Google Cardboard. Where most Cardboard apps are simple look-and-see experiences, VR-step lets you navigate using walking-in-place and puts YOU in control where you are. VR-step removes the need for a controller and can also minimize motion sickness.

We highly recommend having a Cardboard V2, which is any headset that has the capacitive touch button. The Cardboard V1's magnet switch IS supported, but may not work consistently.

Considering that I'm willing to give it a 5 star rating after about an hour of play, the game play and mechanics are very tight. The puzzles offer increased complexity at a reasonable rate without overwhelming the player. The walk in place mechanic is okay, but I had to do squats for it to recognize my motion. It also has a tendency to over-react, which has put me off a ledge a few times. Given that I don't know anything about the developer, I'd have to say that the mechanic is in beta-state. Great concept that functions, but could be tighter or more responsive. The visuals are simple but beautiful, and immersion is so good that I had to reorient myself to the room I was in.

Have you ever wanted something like the game "Portal" in VR? Well, this is the best you will get. You basically use a bluetooth controller to pick up those weighted cubes (That look very similar to the ones in Portal) and put them on the buttons. I love how that in order to get around, you have to walk in place. This is an interesting puzzle game. Plus, you can even remap the controls! I cannot think of ANY complaints! 10/10. 😄

For some reason I can't edit or delete my last review, so I'll just say that the walk in place mechanic is good for people who don't have a controller, but it shouldn't be the default. I figured out the reason my joystick wasn't working but even so, at the beginning of the game, walk in place worked fine. Eventually walking turned into bobbing up & down, then vigorously shaking my headset till I saw movement. The mechanic is just inconsistent and frustrating.

Fantastic little game!! Just like your inspiration, Portal, the major criticism of this game is that it is short. But for a free game it's a great demonstration of the technology and like Portal slowly walks you through the mechanics of the game. I found the walking mechanic a little clunky at times, often going backwards when I wanted to go forwards, but when turning on movement with the daydream controller I started to feel the slight effect of motion sickness. I'd definitely be willing to pay for a longer version of this game

At first, the game was great. I enjoyed it and it is good for a first experience to vr games. However, the next time i played, my controller wouldnt show up. I re installed the app and it wasnt the controller messing up because i can use it on other things. Please someone tell me a supposive fix to this. Also, movement can be a stress of youre sitting down, but you can use the touchpad. No one else is having this error, but i would reccomend this game

Truly the best VR experience I've had so far for google Cardboard and alike! This app took the ideas of physics puzzles and made them intuitive and enjoyable for vr. The controls are great! Having to physically move or jog to move in-game makes it so much more immersive and easy to catch. Even though the app says "no controller needed", you do need to have a way to click at least. If I wanted to show off VR, or experience it for the first time, this would be app I'd recommend.

To start; I LOVED THIS GAME! Every new gimmick the game would throw at me would work so well with the other gameplay elements (EX: The box and the Glass). Also, the puzzles were GENIUS (spoiler alert from here). For example, there was a puzzle where I had to stand on a switch while I put a block next to a piston, and when I got bbn off, it would slowly push the box on a button giving me enough time to get on the lift! The only bad thing about the game is that it wasn't comparable w/ my Gear. :/

Running in place mechanic didn't work for me, taking lots of effort to register and then sliding forward after I stop. This made it too nauseating to play for very long. Also, it says full daydream controller support, but it seems to just mean the button - you still move the cursor and items via gaze, like a Cardboard app. It looks nice, and I am still eager to see what the dev does next.

This is a pretty awesome experience. Even though it's not required, I do have a BT controller, which does make it easier. My only complaint is that the button used to pull blocks and levers does not activate the menu or select menu options. That would make a lot of sense to me, since you're looking at something specific to interact with it anyway.

It's decent. Game is basic so it's not hard to run, unlike other games my phone didn't get hot. However I found that your character moved too fast. Otherwise, worked fine. Did get a bit sick but that's always unavoidable with phone vr, having 60hz and not a very high resolution. So for a moving game I think it did impressively for motion sickness.

No matter how I adjusted the interpupillary distance, focus, or orientation of the phone on my headset, the two views stubbornly remained incongruent. I saw double the entire time I was trying to use this game, which is too bad, because it sounded really cool.

Every time I set it into the vr headset it goes back to the home screen. I got fed up with that, so I held it in place. Then it did not recognize walking in place. only squats moved me forward in game. Got to the 2nd level with sore legs only to have it shut down again.

the first time i played it was fun with no controller but the struggle i had when i had no internet i could not change the viewer so i had to open the headset and touch the screen, i finished it in a week but the problem is that the last level, all i needed was another cube then i found it, then finished it easy but the end was fine for the headset i was using all you had to do was just look around (BTW i was using vr one plus and stealth vr. could you change it so you can interact with the cubes with volume button then it would be 5 stars

Best game I have ever played on my phone. It's just like Portal VR. The controls are great. The levels are challenging. Why didn't it win some award? Portal is awesome and so is this. There should definitely be more levels.

Please please please make more levels. I would pay for more levels. This is so much fun. I have never had this much fun in a vr game. So well thought out. Great graphics for its simplicity. So was disappointed when it finished.

I wasn't expecting such a great game, it had it's own feel but felt a lot like portal 2, at least in the type of puzzles they were going for. It is all out a outstanding game and I'd recommend it.

This game is super fun and has cool physics. Great job please make more. Also dosent require controler but its better with one and please ad a feture where you can walk in any direction with controler. Great level difaculty pace and amazing overall.

The jog in place mechanic should be adopted by more controller-less VR games. It's awesome. Love this game, really cool to play, even if not very challenging.

This game would port really well to the any VR headset because of its small level size. I could even work with the Nintendo Switch. This is a fun game, it just needs some more platforms.

This is one of the best apps I've played it is not hard to control the graphics are fine but what upsets me is there are no more levels I beat them 4 times and no more but you should definitely install

This game was really fun! It's better than any of the other vr puzzle games. It's fun even without controller and it's one of my favorite vr games. I wish there were more levels though.

Best virtual reality free game for Android. Puzzles get harder but not imposible. Especially good is the walking control. More vr games should use it. A bit of exersise too. Thank you

Amazing puzzle experience where running is based on gyro and interaction with the touch button. No gamepad needed in a very clever way.

Smo. P. Y. Feb 20, 2022

This is a great game and I love how it tests your mind! PS: I finished the game. If I were to complain, there was no tutorial level so I had to figure out how to play by myself.

Is not compatible with a "Dream Vision" headset. I went into the settings of the app and then scanned the QR code that came with the headset, but its obviously configured for a different type. Please fix and I'll be happy to try the app again.

I love this vr puzzle game! The physics are smooth, the framerate is good, and the graphics are really good compare to other vr games!
