GRE Daily Vocabulary

Love it though, great vocab range and examples. However, it would be perfect to have like a bookmark function so you can get back to where you left off, otherwise it will just be a lot of taxing swiping through words you have already learnt. Everything else is excellent, hope you could improve it for the better. ❤️❤️

Really great app for learning new words and consolidating old ones. Provided context makes it much easier to understand and therefore remember new notions, which provided with both explanation and synonyms have more ways of interconnecting with already known words and staying in long term memory. The only improvement I can think of and which could be very helpful, especially for non-native speakers, is be to add transcription and stressed syllable - especially with words of different origin, like "genre".

The app is great until I closed the app and whatever progress I had was lost and I have to start from the most recent word. Wish there was a way to book mark the days so I can jump right back to where I left off. Please improve this! Also the app runs suuuper slow whenever click on the left tab. Suuuper slow

The content and words which they provide is very helpful as it is definitely useful for me while I'm preparing for various competitive exams but the U.I lags a lot and it needs to be improved and it's slow when I click something in the settings the app crashes automatically. Please look forward to this.

Truly accurate, beautiful, and effective. The advantage of this GRE vocabulary is the illustration of the items via the authentic excerpts of Economist magazine. Another boon is the exact synonyms provided on each flash card for the corresponding word it deals with. There are some features to mark the unknown words for later study. With all being said, it would be better to create audio pronunciation for the words on the flash cards. Thanks for your nearly perfect app.

Haven't received a new word in over two weeks (16 days today), and the app isn't refreshing to remove the words I've already seen, nor does it save my place. Since I'm studying for the GRE, I'm going through 20 words a day. Today, I had to scroll through 320 words just to get back to where I was yesterday. User interface is poor, and it's obvious this app isn't as well maintained as it used to be. There are better vocab apps to help you learn and study.

There is no bookmark when you quit the application so you have to start again from 0. The menu also seems buggy as it just frezzes when tapping on some options. Good content though. Pronunciation option would be helpful

Very good app. Meaning of the word and its related reference from the actual article helps a lot to understand the word better. However, you won't get a new word daily. Overall its a useful companion!

It's really great app it comprise routine vocabulary words along with good real life sentences from News. Adding to the meaning of words, It also give you the true site of how and in what sense that word is being used. Thank You Team. Kudos to "The Economist!!"

No notifications - they never worked on any phone with Android 8 or higher, no matter the battery saving exceptions etc. No night mode. Good content, however without the notifications the app is no better than a bookmark to a website.

As someone preparing for the GRE, which, I'm told, has an uncompromising demand for vocabularies, I find this app very useful. I like it and I can, of course, unreservedly recommend it for anyone desirous of building a solid stock of vocabularies.

Content of the app is very good indeed, but the application is quite raw yet, no proper functionality to such great content also it sometimes freezes. That's why i gave 4 star. Hope, it will evolve, and i possibly change into 5 star.

The app is stupendous, a great platform for an inchoate learner. The only problem is that the premium version is highly priced and therefore not easily affordable by students.

Hi Guys, This one is a wonderful app, not just for GRE but for banking related exams too... One issue though... Basically, the benchmark for a vocabulary app is to have a speaking icon that would pronunciate the words. This is missing.

Very good and pertinent usage of the words along with crisp and clear meanings!!! It would ge great if you allow at least copying/sharing option for the WORD for dictionary lookup with other sources.

It's truly very handy. It takes a very effective way of imprinting words in your neuron as if you were reading a news and suddenly found you learnt new expressions as well.

Without a go to button this seemingly great app is next to useless. Let's say I have studied 499 words and closed the app. It means that next time when I want to study 500th word, I have to flip 500 times. Isn't it absurd!?

It doesn't seem to work if you already have an Economist subscription. There's no button to sign in, only to create an account, and when I try it gives me an error.

It's blisteringly helpful to enhance the level of individual capability who face critical articles are indigestible for brain. This app is functional to me. I believe level of enthusiasm from Economist for his constituents must be uphold and do more for some less fortunate who wants to be elites in knowledges. I shall believe for best.

Just amazing. It’s a huge platform of learning some 'heavyweight' words through the prominent news paper The Economist. I think they are doing it as the part of Social commitment and responsibility. Hats off to the team Economist.

It's a awesome way to enrich vocabulary. The study deck feature gives the opportunity to revise your word stock which is very helpful.

A very good up to build your vocabulary skills. Especially great for commuters and in-between study plans.

Decent application. It would help to include a proper vocal pronunciation sound file with the definition cards to gain a better familiarity with the term and promote its use in future conversations.

I have kept this app even after my GRE solely for the daily word reminders. Extremely helpful in increasing your vocabulary. Very clean UI, no hassles or intrusions.

The app is great but everytime one opens this app, one has to sequentially go through previously studied words. So, pls add a BOOKMARK option!

It is good app.... Suggests me a word every day... Which reminds me to learn the words, even when I am doing rest of more important things... It is good app... The words are referenced ... That is great.
