I used to love this app but now it doesn't work anymore. This app no longer supports the Google OAuth so it can no longer log into anyone with a google account. Its been likethat this for months now, and haven't been able to get a response on the forums or by contacting the developer. Be careful not to pay for the app, since it is already somewhat non functional, but most of all I shape t it is no longer supported by the developer and is End of Life. Too bad, it was a good app.

It stoped working properly a little while ago. Have spent some time in trying to fix it but nothing works. So since I have a pro version I contacted the developer but they decided to ignore me - a sure sign you should avoid paying for this app as should something go wrong they will do nothing for you.

Even when Google sold us out and cancelled their news service, GReader was there to save the day and integrate seamlessly with Feedly to support our news feeds. This is an awesome app. 2017 edit: if you use the new battery optimization tools in Android 7.0, gReader will no longer auto sync your feeds until you turn it off for the app. So, if your feeds aren't syncing check this feature in your Android settings.

Having already emailed the developer and getting no response, I'm posting here. When you have a widget on the home screen and open an article from it, it does something weird with how the article opens. After when I go to open the base app, it returns to the most recent article I've read by opening from the widget, then all I can do is hit back which closes the app. When I open it again, it's the second most recent and so on until I do that for every widget article. No current option fixes this behavior.

Works great sometimes but it crashes multiple times every day, also it has started to autoplay Youtube videos which destroys the remaining positive experience. I am still using it because I have not found a better alternative, because this product is great for Feedly when it actually works.

I've been using this app for years and I loved it until the update that auto opened YouTube videos as you scrolled across them. It makes the app damn near unusable. The dev has totally abandoned the app and there's no fix in sight. At this point it's not worth your money

Edit: Video doesn't autoplay, but once you touched it, the video plays immediately even if your intention is to swipe (you don't even need to lift your finger). There's even a bug returning from the youtube player where i will have to press return 3 to 4 times.

Autoplay is killing this app! Any time I see a video in an article, I have to stop it from playing 3 or 4 times. There's been instances where I'm laying in bed with my child sleeping and accidentally come across a video and of course it starts playing on my phone. I've accidentally woke my child trying to read an article. This feature/bug has plauged this app for a very long time and would be nice to see it finally addressed.

Could be good. But buggy. Is it well supported, if yes, I'll be able to remove this comment soon. Major bug; in RSS, once a category is completely read once, you can never get more article for it again without first unsubscribing and re-subscribing. Also, the look and feel could use some love.

It is worth the upgrade to pro in order to get rid of the adds and in order to utilize the widgets. Minor problem: if I read an article by tapping to it from a widget, I cannot mark it as "read." I must open the app to so mark an article. -- well, the widgets are now working as expected. My problem may have been because I was traveling through changing time zones.

I really liked the 'voice reading', but it has stopped working will read only one text and not the one you want and no matter which you try. Tried to report fault but Web site abandoned. Still pulls in the RSS but now I'm looking for a reader with txt2voice.

This has been my default RSS reader for quite some time no. But yesterday I upgraded my phone to Android 7 (Nougat) and had to reinstall my apps. Now I can't sign in to gReader Pro with the Google login. It gives an error. I've no way to log in now as I tried setting up an account with my Gmail email address, hoping it would sync up, but it didn't. Please fix!

I've ditched this app at years of use. A long-standing bug which results in the font size of the list view jumping all over the place when scrolling through it makes this a very annoying app. I've emailed the devs, but have not responded. I guess they don't care, because they've got my money.

A. G. u. May 2, 2016

The app is great, i use it to read my feedly feeds. It had some annoying bugs that made me go back to feedly as the developers seemed to have abandoned this app. However the app is now updated finally and seems to be working better. If it will be maintained as it should be, ill give it a 5 star. Update :still the font size changes now and then when scrolling, very annoying.

Lou. B. Jul 20, 2016

Update 7/20/16. Pop-up ads continue even with You-Tube disabled. Nothing from tech support, blog is silent on the issue. Drop another star. 7/16 - I am a long time user of gReader Pro who is now looking for a replacement. I have tried several other apps and none of them seen to have the Autoplay issue. I still like the gReader interface so hopefully this will be fixed. Until then I would rate gReader's usability as poor.

Caught this using the xtra permissions for going through all of my info on phone and not sticking around 2 c what's next. If I'm lucky ill only have my info sold to ad companies. Install apps from ur nation so complaints work. Vote helpful so people know.

This app doesn't sync news. It used to. Now it doesn't. I found a work around. If you unsubscribe then subscribe again the feed will come in. But you have to do this every time. Worst of all, I emailed noinnion and they didn't even bother replying. Rather poor. Philip

This incomparably feature-rich app was my favorite reader, but I thought it was a gonner, so I tried others. Then the 04/16 update came and I was thrilled, but I couldn't find the setting to use my preferred browser. Finally found it under Reading Preferences > Article Controls. Happy again. Very grateful to the dev for keeping this wonderful reader alive!

Ble. M. Dec 29, 2017

The best rss reader. Still works perfectly. If you're having difficulty accessing your feedly account via Google account login (because Google blocked third party app access) just use your Facebook or feedly account credentials. If you don't have it activated go to feedly website, go to your profile and add the missing login methodology to your profile. Tada!

Lau. M. Jan 19, 2017

Great interface and usability. I bought the pro version. A month or so ago everything stopped. Nothing syncs anymore. Uninstalled, cleared the cache, etc. It just doesn't work. Not on my phone, not on my tablet. Come to think of it, that's the core of the application's functionality. Both the phone and the tablet have version "4.3.1_pro". I can send you the prefs file, or any logs if that's possible to enable in the application, should that help you diagnose the issue. Please fix it.

Jar. W. May 6, 2016

a lot of stuff has been improved, but the internal browser has gotten do slow, I switched back to feedly. articles from sites like Android Authority make the internal browser do slow it's not even funny anymore. will switch if this gets fixed.

Ale. W. Dec 3, 2016

Recently a worrying bug has developed. When a feed summary is double tapped, instead of the full article appearing, a random, completely unrelated, article comes up instead. The problem has been discussed for some time on forums; and this, as well as the failure of noinnion to communicate, has led to the conclusion that the app is probably broken and not being developed. Caveat emptor.

A. G. u. Apr 24, 2017

Still one of the best RSS readers I've used, but with a few annoying features. 1) Allow option to disable auto-play of Youtube video embedded in articles. 2) Vol keys scroll through articles rather than allow vol control, despite having vol keys set to Do Nothing in app settings.
