Great Alchemy

This is a great game to keep your mind interested. You end up thinking about alchemy throughout the day and come back to this game to make new combinations. The free version just had a banner at the bottom.

I played for only a few seconds and the fact that it's very easy to use and straightforward is a really good thing but then it only ends up being plain. Like the player's would think, "Oh, so it's like that. And then?" There's that question. We would just keep on combining till we lose interest and uninstall it in the end. I suggest you put some descriptions. That if we click on the product we produced from certain elements, there's some educational FACTS on why it came to be and what it is.

Nice game, but sometimes it will randomly clear the board when you switch apps. Other times the board stays the same for weeks. I spent heaps of time setting up the elements I wanted to experiment with (because it won't let you add more than a handful at once) then when they were finally set up, I put the phone down, and when I came back to the app they had all been cleared. Very frustrating, so I quit, as this is not the first time.

The game is a great alternative to the original game yesrs ago. I wonder why three is no "undo" button to reverse an action, or an add all for all non final elements. Its okay at start but now one I have 100 items, adding them all is quite cumbersome, and selecting mechanism doesn't always work of firtst touch. This goes both for this and alchemy 2. Hope for a fix. Thank you

I haven't played the original game, but installed this as I'm interested in Hermeticism and alchemy (which presaged modern chemistry.) I'm now more used to the Eastern five element system, but in both cases the ancients were trying to reduce the myriad phenomena of the world down to a small set of basic building blocks, which created continual change through combining with each other. The game is intuitive to play and has some interesting outcomes from the many combinations available.

There is a really annoying bug where sometimes it won't let you scroll up to get more items, tried reloading the game, doesn't fix it, only does it sometimes, other than that, it's a great game and does exactly what it's meant to do, but with that bug I definitely ain't having a 5 star experience

I like this game a lot but I have a few suggestions, small tweaks that would make it worthy of 5 stars! A choice to list them in order of newest to oldest, or in different folders (elements/metals/living creatures etc) Some of the things I could possibly make, I don't know what they are so it would be handy to push and hold to find out what they are to have an idea of how to make it

Great game. Sometimes the combos are quirky, but it's fun.

Lots of fun trying to figure out what goes with what. Great way to relax and unwind.

Pros: Fun and addictive, and some of the combos get a good chuckle out of me. Cons: Ads block part of the screen, and I usually have to go into airplane mode to play without them; this is why I uninstalled the app from my phone and put it on my tablet. Also, the "9/11" element crosses a line and can be really triggering to those who remember the events of that day...not funny at all. Hopefully these issues are fixed in GA2, though.

Love Alchemy! This game is very entertaining, I love that I can play offline as well.

Love the game, sometimes wish for a cheat when stuck.

Love being able to play this game once again, however the colors that appear at the top and bottom when an element is dragged is driving me INSANE. I get that it helps designate the zones to discard or get info, but it just seems unnecessary and distracting.

Creative! Just downloaded this today and can already see this being a keeper. Game play is simple but clever; you're discovering new elements by combining previously discovered ones. It really gets you to thinking and trying different combinations. The combinations are creative and often amusing. Very clever and satisfying game. Encyclopedia could use some tuning up with a search function, would also love to see the elements in a tree format.

Like others, I compare this with Little Alchemy. I am enjoying the challenge of many combinations. I definitely appreciate being able to block completed combos. I would also like to see depleted items be separated (as opposed to just final elements), but I suppose that adds to the challenge.

It's clear this game was made with inspiration from Little Alchemy 1 and 2 (Which I will call LA), but it's just a mid effort rip off. It doesnt force ads on you, which is nice, but they're still there. This game was obviously not made by the same people as LA was. It does have smooth flow with its animations, like LA, but the workspace controls are kinda.. janky. It's not BAD, but I prefer Little Alchemy.

Really good game and very fun to play especially while passing time. The only thing I wish is that the specific new hint you get when you make a new object is marked within the hint tab, rather than just putting a dot on the hint tab itself. Other than that the game is perfect, I would still give it a 5 star rating because that's pretty minor plus it was only made by one person (congrats!).

The app functions well and it isn't crowded with adds like so many games are, but as far as gameplay goes, it was fairly lack luster. Most of the elements have only one or two combinations that can make them and they are not intuitive at all. For example, Werewolf. You might think it's wolf + man or man + moon or some combinations of man, wolf, moon, or beast. Nope. It's vampire + beast. Who thinks of werewolves as beastly vampires?!

Gives good challenge with 500 items and surprising combinations, but as you progress there's high chance to get stuck because items don't disappear from list when all possible combinations are used. List of craftable items comes in hand with red markers, but there's no change of knowing what was item that opened that option later on. Clicking on item you haven't craft just sends you to ad and hands you that item. Revealing just one needed item to craft it would keep game more interesting

I like the game, the encyclopedia, the hint option, and the list of possible elements that can be made with the discovered elements. I like that its not a big display every time a new element is found, HOWEVER, once i hit 250 elements my progress slowed bc there is no way to know which elements can still be combined so i waste a lot of time guessing and trying with elements ive exhausted in use. Fix this and it gets 5 stars.

Really fun to play. Very simple, yet so enjoyable. The only complaint I have is that when selecting several materials at once, it makes a circle that doesn't fit in the play area, then you can't use them. But that's nitpicky. I do, however, thoroughly enjoy the fact that the features you have to pay for in other versions are already on this one for free. To the devs: I reccomend this game to people all the time. This version, specifically. You guys nailed it.

Generally good, but needs to allow removal of exhausted from the list of active elements. This wouldn't be necessary if the formulae were more intuitive. eg, Swiss Army Knife doesn't use Switzerland. Instead it uses a combination for an ordinary Pocket Knife. (Though Switz. is a final element, so doesn't get in the way.) So many unneeded elements are still available. But formulae are too strange to be sure which ones they are. It's all guess & GRIND in the end. I'm at 415. Will prob delete.

Great game with a helpful developer. Some of the combinations do not make sense (ex. Kangaroo) but with patience and google searches, it is possible to find most combos. A sign for elements that cannot be used anymore would be useful in prioritising other unidentified combos. Overall, 9/10 :)

Before this game there were an old game just like this. Theyre both equally fun to me, BUT, thing that makes this game worse for me is the mechanic where you've to swip up every time to select element and then to combine you've swip up again and again and it gets frustrated. So if you guys can change this mechanic to something like 2 or 3 rows of element on left side of the screen so you can quickly select and drop your element to screen to then mix up. It's frustrating now to swip up everytime.

I enjoyed the first games immensely, but this game is far too complicated at some points. I have to go on a road trip to make what I want to make. Then when I finally get one step away, the things I need wont combine. Example: To make a brickhouse, I had to go on a journey to make clay then when it was time to make the cement, two elements would not combine and I had to watch an ad to get the cement. Not even hints online helped. Example: moon+ werewolf = wolf and they would not combine.

Use to love it until the recent update. After the update it won't let me access the elements once the ads pop up. If I go into the elements before the ads pop up it works but then it will kick me out of the elements the moment the ads pop up at the bottom of the screen and you can't get back in. Everything else I am able to access. HEEEELP, really want to get to 500 and am so close!!

I love the game. Been installing it on every I've had for years. But the dragging is bugged in this version. More than half the time, dragging doesn't register which makes the game frustrating. I hope it gets fixed in an update.

This game is an okay way to waste time, but it is buggy. It sometimes creates new elements that I didn't combine. It shows things in "elements possible to make" that aren't possible to make yet. And the hint button that says how many new items that can be created from items in the workspace is often wrong.
