Great Clips Online Check-in

The new version seems to take a l-o-n-g time to open. It also has trouble displaying any of the data on the home screen or salon list when connected to my wifi but when I connect to 5G is slow but gets the job done. (Yes, I have tested my wifi, even with other apps on the same phone, and all is ok.) Older versions were nice and snappy. Also I find discrepancies between the wait times for each salon between the times shown on the salon list and on the map.

it's a good app. I've pretty much had it since the beginning. and so far, none of the updates made to the app have hindered the maneuverability and easiness that one needs to get around the app and make appointments, etc.. all in all and another words, I recommend the app, if only for the reason of making it easier when you walk in and also the look of astonishment as you get to go in front of people who appear to have been sitting there waiting. that sounds mean, doesn't it?! it's not meant to

Update below... This latest release crashes my phone every time I open it. Galaxy S22 Ultra. I have to restart the phone to be able to do anything. All screen icons are missing, cant see or close running apps. I can pull down the settings/notifications and even go to serrings, force close your app, but does nothing until a restart. After the reboot, your app is already running and usable, but launching it from closed... not good. Please fix. Also haircut reminders haven't worked for me for quite a while. UPDATE 3-17. Had uninstalled it a after the review. GC reached out to ask some questions. to help resolve. I reinstalled the latest version 5.3.0, and it's working perfectly. Adjusting up to 4 stars from 2. Only 4 because reminders had not been working on previous versions.

This app works great. You choose a Great Clips and check in. A timer shows you how long the wait is. There is an option to have the app text you at 15 minutes left on the timer. Then we get in the car and go. We have always arrived with someone ready to cut our hair or only a short wait. It's a very simple and effective app! Thanks!

I love the Great Clips app. I can check a box to receive a text message when an appointment is within 15 minutes. The estimated wait time is shown first before checking in. I receive the text for the Great Clips salon I want to go to. This is very convenient. When I arrive, someone will ask me if I have made an appointment, then confirm I am there. The employees are very nice. They do a good job. Thank you.

Great if they kept the appointment time, but I'm now 64 minutes past the "appointment" time. So I went to the store and they are taking walk ins , no wonder they can't give you a real time, kinda useless to check in for a hair cut when anyone walking in gets priority and pushes your appointment time back , over and over. So I've got another 25 minutes wait, so only 89 minutes past my check in. Great job, Great clips.

If it actually worked, it would be great. I like being able to sign in online, see how long the wait is, and get text messages when it's almost my turn. However, this new update does not work. It wouldn't accept my current password, then wouldn't accept my new password after I was prompted to reset it. After resetting my password 3 times (yes, I typed it in correctly!), it finally accepted one, only for the online sign-in for my currently open salon to be down, anyway. Once I was finally able to log in, it also did not automatically bring up my favorite salon because there are others, not favorited, closer. It even suggested one that is coming soon, but not open for business yet.

1 haircut per month for over 20 years (that's nearly 250 haircuts!) and I can count on one hand (3 fingers, actually) the number of bad cuts I've gotten at Great Clips, that's nearly 99% success rate-any business should be thrilled with that statistic. Consistent results in a friendly and efficient manner. I give TWO thumbs up for Great Clips!

Check-in works smoothly for me, but the app won't let me sign up for an account. Keeps saying the email is already registered yet every time I try to log in the password is incorrect, so whenever I request a password change I never receive an email to change it even though it says that specific email is already in the system.

Super friendly folks. there's no need to worry about getting the same stylish every time, they're all great. your style length and type of cut stored in the computer under your profile so when you show up I ask you do you want it done the same time got it right here. You know, the only thing they haven't mastered yet, is if they cut it too short, that they can put back on, but they're working on it.

**MILITARY DISCOUNT** I've been going to this Hair Chopping place for years. My hair cut style is on their personal file for me so no more "describing" length on top, fade starts, eye brows trimmed/shaped, etc. Now they have this APP there's no excuse cause it's too easy to look fresh.

I am looking for a straight forward haircut, and conveniently find it at Great Clips. Simple. No hassle. In out and done. The GC app helps to keep it quick and simple.

I was a little annoyed at first, I don't do well with change. But it's pretty handy to be able to see the wait time and check in just by opening the app. now I can time it about perfect to not have to waist any time waiting.

Very solid app that does it's job. That being said, would love some simple additions that would allow hair style & stylist notes. Found a stylist I like but I can never remember her name! Having a notes section would be great!

I love this app as it makes it super easy to get a haircut without having to wait half an hour every time I go. I can make a quick reservation from the app and see how much time I'll have to wait up front. That way, I can time it to fit my daily schedule well. Those who lead busy lives and work most of the time will know how valuable time is and this app will surely alleviate that stress.

I checked in online and had 18 minutes, 17 minutes when I went out the door. Four minutes later I entered the store and I was told over an hour wait. Why check in online if it is meaningless? Why give a time when it is meaningless. Useless app. Will never use Great Clips again and will spread the word about the useless app.

Meh, I see nothing so far that justifies a redesign. If anything, it's less intuitive than the older app. I had two salons listed as favorites that I no longer visit. But I had to stumble upon the method for removing them from my favorites. (The Help option had no info about how to do that.) I tried pressing the star, long-pressing the entry, going to account settings, etc. Then I (accidentally) slid the favorite to the left and it deleted. A visual clue indicating that would've been nice.

What have you done! This app used to be very usable and let one easily find a shop that isn't too busy. Now the map view zooms out showing many overlapping unreadable icons and then makes it very hard to zoom it to separate the stores and see wait times for them.

I've noticed that the haircut reminders have stopped for some reason, but it's probably a notification setting on my phone that's causing that issue. Oh well, I'll get it figured out some time. Online check-in works well, though!

So easy to check in! No waiting around. Get a text when you should leave the house, and excellent haircuts at a reasonable price! The stylists are always personable and friendly too!

Unreliable - checked in, and the app asked if I wanted a text to tell me I'm next in line. I answered yes. When I got to the salon 30 minutes later, I found I was NOT checked in, and the proprietor told me I wasn't the only one this has happened to since the update. Poor app, if you ask me.

The app is pointless for check in. The employees will delete you from the list for no reason and you're stuck at the back of the line on arrival. Just find a better place to get a haircut.

Great Clips customer support responded very quickly and will check into the issue. For that I am upgrading the stars. Used to be good app but this latest requires you to create a login before you can turn off their nagging notifications. It's for a HAIRCUT. REALLY!!! Uninstalled app.
