Great Lakes Mobile

Nearly perfect app. It allows us to see the current total balance, & see the loan with the highest interest. It also allows us to choose which one to pay first. One-time or recurring payments are permitted inside the app, too. There is just one more feature I hope they will soon include: payments via credit or debit cards, (preferably as a recurring transaction, please). I'll give them another star once they incorporate that feature.

pics always look bad after processing, at least with my phone. Takes forever to have to keep trying. I reported that problem before, last year, year before that too maybe, but no improvements since then. In the evening, it said I needed an internet connection, so then couldn't send my pics. But other misc. apps were working for me just fine.

App is easy enough to use for regular payments, but it'd be great to be able to pay just accrued interest without jumping to multiple screens to calculate yourself. Also, not sure why Great Lakes makes it so confusing/difficult to pay extra towards a specific loan - jumping through multiple screens and creating likely risks to inadvertent detrimental payment errors.

The app is easy to use.. My fav feature is the reminder about payments in time to change them if I can't make them this month. In my experience, Great Lakes in general doesn't act dirty as a lender.. Idk about anyone else but my interest accruing accounts always get my payments first.. They let me pay ahead and get ahead so if I have a rough month later, I dont get penalized. Idk.. No one likes to owe money but this isn't as painful as it could be.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using this app! The biometric sign in was a game changer, for sure. One bit of feedback I do have is for when you pay off your loan, it would be AWESOME if the app had a confetti screen like the website does. I've seen this happen with other loan pages when a loan is paid off and I was slightly disappointed there wasn't more of a fanfare for someone paying off a debt. Other than that, highly recommend! Officially un-installing today! 😄😄

I love that I can make my payment from the app instead of trying to find the time to call. However, I would like to see a littlw more detail of my loans such as an option for itemized monthly statements so that I can actually see where my payment is being applied and the dollar amount intrest being charged each month. Also, if there was on option for an actual debit card to be used or for the payment to come out of your bank account right then instead of 3 days later

The app is overall well designed, but doesn't seem to have an option to apply payments to the principle. They automatically go to interest, so it takes much longer to pay off your loan and you end up paying higher than necessary interest as a result. Beware of this feature and call instead.

There isn't an option to change the credit card on file. I've tried calling and emailing this organization on several occasions over several years and my information still hasn't been changed (legal documents in addition to the card). Extremely dissatisfied with the interface of this app and the consistent lack of response over years.

This app was disappointing and frustrating. I have repeatedly made late payments because i scheduled them and confirmed them in the app but they never actually applied to my account. The app refers you to the website to handle detailed or complex options. I can't see any reason to use this over the website, which is a shame since push notifications and security are potential benefits of using the app instead of the website, but if the app is incomplete and unreliable, it is not useful.

This app is a hoax. Only use for payment. After making consecutive payments for over a year I lost my consecutive payment credit. Why...because a rep incorrectly told me I could resubmit my info through this app. I submitted all info but was not contacted about the payment until it was too late. They reverted my payment plan to a $400/month payment. When I contacted customer service I was told it didn't matter what I was told last year and that I had to use the official site. Horrible App!!!

I just recently opened this app and now it's got this processing loop that cant be bypassed, just keeps going in circles. Have a Note 8 and its fully updated.....still stuck. Tried cleaning cache and disabled in app manager list, even uninstalled didn't work to see if I can sign into it. It's broken. Please fix !!! Asap.

Perfectly good app until (what I assume is) a recent update that has made it impossible to log in. You hit "log in" and nothing happens. Input the same exact credentials on the website and logged in just fine. Tried to send an email over but so far no response. Hopefully it gets fixed eventually

The only things that can be done in this app are view balances, make payments, and see basic payment history. Can't edit Auto-Pay, access account statements, or access most of the resources available on the website. Could be worse, just not useful except for the most basic functions

This app is horrendous for anything other than making payments on your loans or viewing the balance on your loans (and even that could use some improvements). The app has significantly reduced functionality over the website (on desktop) and that functionality is 75% of why I would want an app in the first place. Let me see exact breakdowns of my payment history or loan. Let me set up or adjust my autopay. Let me look at repayment options. Make the app have all the functions of the website please.

Very straight forward. Love how I have multiple options to contact someone in regards to my loans. Very thankful that I can make multiple payments or change the amount if I am able to do so. The only hiccup that I have had is the sign in problem but was immediately rectified once I gave the permissions to do biometrics login.

Every time I attempt to make or schedule a payment the app force closes. This app was suppose to make my life easier when it comes to managing my student loans. This clearly isn't the case right now. Fix the bugs so one can actually use the payment function of the app.

The app does not even open. It just says processing as if it were loading. It automatically closes and does it everytime. Just log in through a web browser and save storage on your phone. Useless app.

Uploading photos of documents is a waste of time. Every picture uploads blurry. Even screenshots are unreadable. What's the point of having an upload option if you all won't be able to read the documents.

No useful. I've hat to rest my pasword 6 times in 2 days to acces my account. And can only access it from the website (after changing my password). Great Loan provider and they even give helpful insights to things you may need to know, but unfortunately the app doesn't work. It's fully updated.

This app had very limited functionality. Even so there are still bugs that prevent me from using the app... today I couldn't log in for 30 minutes. After I got logged in, none of the features would load except the payment screen.

Feature to allow fingerprint for logging-in is a simple implemention. The fact that this app doesn't have it gives it an automatic two stars. Aside from that, the app works well for my purposes.

Great app with lots of info factoring in the loan amounts with interest rates. Customer service is helpful. Could be useful to have a payment timeline, so you can see when the last payment will be. It would be nice to see all of your payment history.

Student debt is painful, but this app makes it a little bit easier to manage that pain,.. in small easily scheduled and organized payments. The interface is easy to work with, no child nor elder could get lost in. Super simple and quick at taking my money. Better than having to struggle with sending off payments.:)

the camera on it is unusuable I even tried selecting from gallery where it shows all my marks on the document but the filter they have for this app made it appear that most was not filled out when it was the whole point of using and having this app was to send the documents to great lakes quickly and securely guess I have to use snail mail or see if I can email them

Forced me to use the apps camera to take photos of paper documents, then uses a bitmap looking filter on the image so it is barely legible. It would be better if I could UPLOAD A FILE instead of print it, photograph it and struggle to read it...

This handy app reminds you when to pay your loans and makes it easy to do so. But sometimes, it still shows an open balance after I've paid. Ended up paying twice in one month in May.

Trying to submit form and when converting file all its all white and you are unable to see ANY info on the app. Tried flash off, flash on, table lamp over head light. Not easy to submit paperwork.

Will not let me upload documents. As soon as I snap a photo from my camera it just stays on a black screen and says great lakes app is having an issue. Please wait or close app. This is frustrating!
