Great Taste of the Midwest
The Official App for the Great Taste of the Midwest, one of the premier beer festivals in the United States. On the second Saturday in August, over one hundred brewpubs and microbreweries from the Midwest come to beautiful Olin-Turville Park overlooking lake Monona in Madison, Wisconsin, to share beer and good times with six thousand patrons.

The day the app gets updated is the best day of the week. Love this app, great way to get excited for Great Taste and pretend to formulate a game plan. (We know it gets tossed after the first hour...) One suggestion: Collapsible lists, especially in the Beer tab. Once I've scrolled through and marked all my IPAs, it would be nice not to have to scroll through them when I open the app later to look at stouts.
There is a glitch. The app is not working. Downloads then can't open.
Less than a week before the event and it still crashes on launch.
Many of us travel out of state. When will this app be updated. The week before the event is not ideal..

The good: - Lists all beers and breweries at event, along with descriptions and data of each beer (if provided by brewery). - Allows marking which beers look interesting and creates a to-do list with them. - Has a map of the event and marks where are the beers in your to-do list located The bad: - Has a star system to grade the beers. Does not work: rating is not saved as soon as "back" is pressed to return to the list. - Has an option to write a note about each beer. Also does not work: notes are not saved. Used app on an LG V20 with stock rom (Android Nougat 7.0)

Indispensable tool for the Great Taste!
I've experienced the crashing others have mentioned, hopefully they corrected this. However, the worst thing about this app that has gone untouched for many versions is the scroll bar next to the check boxes to add beers to your list. As you scroll and try to add a beer, if you don't wait long enough, you end up hitting the scroll bar and it quickly loses your position. They're too close together, very frustrating. Please add scroll bar to left side. Otherwise a very helpful app. Another possible improvement: linking to one's untappd so you can check off beers you've tried in one fell swoop instead of going back to it. Anyway, thanks for improving this app over the years!
This app is MIA when you really need it. I took the time to catalog the beers I wanted, and during the event the app goes blank with no information. Super fail!
Spent two hours filling out my to-do list, now every page in the app is blank. Great way to waste some time...
You set the bar for fest apps. Some minor nits like the check box being too close to scroll bar, but love the to do list integrated to map.
The one problem it still has is that the little checkboxes next to each beer are all the way on the right, which is the same place the slide bar to scroll through the list is located. It's difficult to hit the checkbox without causing the list to scroll down instead. So if you'd just put the check box on the left side instead, problem solved. Otherwise it's a great app and has everything you need. I have an Android so no problems here.
I have an LG Leon running android 5.1.1 and the app opens with a white screen then closes after the update
Use it every year at least initially. Does what it supposed to do. Wish they included a map of the Pre GTMW for the nights before.
Cannot add anything to my to-do list, app crashes randomly. Very disappointing.
Best feature: a map showing where in each tent all of the beers on your todo list are.

This app got me excited, then when I tried it I found it left me wanting more. Much like Wisconsin Brewing Company's beers.
One thing I wish the app would allow us to do, is have options to sort our to-do list. Espically to be able to sort by special release times.
Solid app but needs more work. More consistent UI across tabs and sorting options. Also these ratings are neat but why not hook into the Untappd API instead?
This app could be so much better. Navigation is clunky. If you search & hit 'back' to hide the keyboard, you lose the search. Fast scroll on Beers/Breweries doesn't have feedback. Usually you show what letter the user is on. It'd be cool if you could copy the beer description TextView so could share to your buddy a beer that sounds good. Untappd integration would really set this app over the top. If beers had a check-in button could go back & forth from GTMW/UT & sort by UT beer ratings
