Used to work perfectly, now it just freezes up after entering your password. Sometimes I can see my accounts after 5ish minutes, most of the time it just freezes and closes. Will move back to 5 stars if the problem is resolved.
I use it to deposit checks cuz I dont like running to the bank but sometimes I wonder if its be faster. Recently it's been making me log back in after I've snapped a pic of my check. It takes forever to load then makes me go back and look at the pic again before a successful deposit is made. The app needs help!
Very easy to use, only had a hiccup with getting approved for online banking, but once I ensured that I had the right info everything since then has been superb! Easy to deposit checks right here at home and easy to use transfer tools! Great at GWB!
I had an iPhone and this app worked just fine. For some reason the android version is extremely slow and that is highly disappointing.
Great app. Works almost perfectly. This app is clearly a 9.7 out of 10. Viewing one or multiple accounts, do money transfers, make mobile deposits, keeping you in the know with your account, making sure you always stay in the positive. The only thing to work on is the mobile deposit part. It is very restrictive in the size of the screen it uses when taking a checks picture. It needs to utilize more screen real estate so the picture can be bigger by the phone being closer giving you a hd picture.
Unfortunately, the app is kind of clunky and slow when compared to apps from similarly sized regional banks. It's usable, but it's not great. Also, whoever thought it was a good idea to add the new robo voice to the mobile check deposit screen was wrong. It's so annoying to hear every time I deposit a check. I really hope they remove that in a future update. I knocked a star off the review score just for that alone.
Mobile check deposit was introduced a while ago (thank you!). Not too long ago, it was changed so that it auto takes the picture. That'd be fine if it could actually recognize the check. It sees a corner of the check, takes picture. You adjust, hit "take again" 5 more times til it actually gets it right. Just remove that "feature" as it was way better lining it up and taking the pic yourself.
I continue having issues with missing Push alerts that are set up to come through in connection with my accounts. They randomly stopped working. When I mention this, the response is typically, "Try to uninstall and download again." I have used numerous apps for years that have never just randomly stopped giving me notifications that I am expecting to see. I do like the ease and simpleness to the app, when it is working correctly.
I work on a mobile banking app and I appreciate the reliability and simplicity of this one. I would like to see some new features, but not at the expense of quality. My top vote would be for a card management feature that lets users toggle individual cards on/off. Overall a great and functional app that lets me do everything I need to do.
Functions well overall. Use it for business. The setup is good, the option work well. I have trouble with mobile deposits of checks more often than I like. Usually an "endorsement" problem the bank emails me about later so I have to drop the check off in person (easy to do). The bank/app I use for my personal account I never have trouble with mobile deposits.
I'd give a 3.5 if I could. It's usually fine, but I've had some weird problems with it in the past. Check deposit is useful and is usually done like 4 hours later, but it's not super consistent. You can check how much money is in your account by swiping down on the login screen, which is nice. Fingerprint compatibility is a neat feature, too. Not a perfect app by any means, but it gets the job done.
Been using this app for years. Does what it's supposed to, except when it doesn't (due to the system being down, or some features being temporarily unavailable). Check deposit sometimes fails to recognize the date (or other endorsement/information) on the photographed check. May take a few tries.
When bills are paid online via the GWB website they don't show as pending in the account on the app. I was charged an overdraft fee because of this. This is a serious design flaw.
I've used the GWB app for years now. It is easy to switch between accounts, easy to make deposits & easy to move cash between accounts.
Great app. Never had a problem. Can easily transfer money in-between my own accounts and to friends or family with Great Western accounts.
I love having all of my information at my fingertips. Also being able to do all of my banking from wherever and whenever is VERY handy!
Good for checking account balances, making transfers, and easy to use but mobile check deposit is a nightmare.
This is the worst app I have ever seen. It fails with an "app error" 4 out of 5 times. This is an important financial tool for me and there is no excuse for a half-assed app. Also, the voice assist is aggravating and unnecessary. Small matter, though, for an app that doesn't work. Go to Chase, First bank, or USBank for a real app. Throw this one in the trash.
I love the app it's very user-friendly and easy to use. The reason I gave it only four stars out of five is because you can't save your debit card to your phone through this app so if you don't have your debit card on you you're out of luck.
Takes way too long to see that you have a debit after you've paid a bill takes way too long to pay the bill for to show up in your account
I think that your app is great. Its always updated and I can always get the info from it that i need

Kind of a low quality app. It shows me what I need to see but other than that the flow of the app is mediocre. Fingerprint scanner works until it doesn't read once so it'll change to typing the password. I wish it would tell me my routing number in the app. I would love to see this app more developed.
Gets the job done, but I have some complaints. Check deposit doesn't always work and will have to retake pictures that are clearly fine to get it deposited. I have had an account here since 2010 and both times they saw any questionable charges on my account they just cancelled it without calling me to let me know. This was fine the first time, but the second time I needed groceries and would have liked to be notified before my card got declined at the store.
Don't download this garbage. Happens way to often where it doesn't let you log in. Fingerprint won't work and now neither will my password and user. It's getting to the point where I might switch banks. I also have issues with the bank too often, but that is not to do with the app.
So easy for online banking, and super secure. I never once questioned the security of my funds, as you need to sign in for every use! I absolutely love it! Downside, I don't get to feel real cash in my hands very often, but it beats racing through traffic to make a deposit by 5:30 PM lol
App is good, have had it for almost a month, use regularly, no issues so far. Mobile check deposit works well, just make sure you follow the directions for signing the back of the check, etc. Would NOT recommend the bank though because they have a confusing and imo stupid service fee schedule.
