Greedy Gift Exchange
The greedy gift exchange game is a modern twist on an old theme. It is a hilarious way to spend an evening with your family and good friends.
The idea is that each individual or team brings two or three wrapped presents. These are usually fairly cheap or comedic gifts mostly found at places like the dollar store. There are also variations of the game you don’t necessarily have to play for a gift you could play for quarters or Oreo cookies etc.
The game itself is more about the social interaction and the fun of playing along with the ever important bragging rights. Even though some of the gifts may be quite nice like this APP for example could be the first gift given to the host in order to get the evening off with a bang.
When everybody arrives all the gifts are placed in one area all together with no indication of who brought which gift. The game will prompt you at every role of the dice with the required action so there’s no need to memorize these rules, just do what the phone tells you.
The game has two rounds, the first round has no time limit whereas round 2 has a set time limit of 45 minutes but don’t worry there is a pause button for bio breaks and before you start you can change the time to be more suited your actual availability via the menu. In order to restart the timer after a pause just have the next person in turn roll the dice.
In round one and dices is rolled by each person in turn, whenever a six comes up the person responsible for rolling it is to open up one gift from the pile (takes a quarter or an Oreo or whenever you’re playing for ) and places it in front of them. This continues until all gifts have been opened.
Once all gifts have been opened we then enter round two.
In round two a time limit of 45 minutes is set as the default. This time can be changed by entering a new value in the menu on the opening screen. Similar to round one each person in turn rolls the dice and depending on the outcome will be given a set activity to perform whether it’s trading a gift, stealing a gift for everybody moving places you can’t guess the outcome of the game until the very last second
