With this app you can transliterate text to Greek based on a phonetic translation. This app translates the sounds of words, not the meaning. This app is also a good source for learning more about the evolution of the Greek alphabet. Premium upgrade unlocks keyboards and additional historical alphabets.
Supports the following alphabets:
• Ancient Greek (polytonic Attic / Ionic, Hellenistic / Koine / Biblical with spiriti, accents and archaic letters)
• Modern Greek (post-1982 non-polytonic with modern digraphs)
For premium users:
• Linear B petroglyphs (ancient Mycenean language)
• Cypriot (ancient script from Cyprus)
• Lycian (ancient Anatolian language)
• Lydian (ancient Anatolian language)
• Gothic (ancient European language inspired by the Greek alphabet)
• Coptic (Egyptian alphabet inspired by Greek)
• Old Italic (Latin alphabet inspired by Greek)
• Phoenician (Greek ancestor alphabet)
Text is transcribed to these characters based on a phonetic representation (English, Russian, Arabic, or language agnostic).

Literally all the complaints on this app are about how it "doesn't work" and "doesn't translate". Well, of course it doesn't translate, it's a transliterator not a translator. It goes by phonetic value. It says so in the description, and literally in the name. "Greek Alphabet", not "Greek Language Translator". It does what it's meant to do perfectly.
This does *way* more than I expected, with features that surprised me at every turn. If you're teaching yourself Greek, it's a necessity.
Awful. 30 seconds ads for each letter you want to hear. Worthless of your time.
Rubbish. All the transliteration does is say the characters, not by words or sentences, as it should be.
I use it for a quick input into a translator; it has worked well for me
how does it work? Watching a lot of ads. And paying for all of them. All are locked. Please guide me.
If I could give it to us I would I am Greek and I know this language almost better than anyone and just does litter to letter it's worse than Google translate
Open sesame. Now I've found out how to use it (NO thanks to google or sony) it's looking really good.

Good app, but I paid for premium and some of the features for Coptic are missing, even though I think the letters are contained somewhere within the app. Also TTS doesn't work sometimes. If you could please fix these things that would be greatly appreciated.
