Used to be good, not sure what's happened but it's impossible to order from now. Takes ages to send verification email when logging in, just tried to order and now it won't accept any card payments, just two of many bugs! Worst of all when you report them they just make excuses rather than try to fix the issues.
Drink ordering wasn't working. Arrived for some food and ordered via the app. Thought it was strange our drink ordered hadn't come out and when the food arrived the member of staff advised that the app drinks orders wasn't being passed through and they had reported it but it wasn't fixed. Other than that I was pretty basic and straight forward.
I've used this app before and it's worked fine. Today I headed out with no cash but ended up going for an ad hoc pint(you know how it is). Now the app wants me to verify my identity but the promised verification email won't arrive. Very frustrating as I need to order via PayPal 😒
This app is OK but it doesnt cater for the fact that different Greene King pubs have different beers and ciders. For example the one near us has Dry Blackthorn on tap - which isn't listed, but it does have Old Rosie - which that pub doesn't sell.
App works fairly well. Ordered food at 8:40, they said there was a 2 hour wait and kitchen closes at 10 so they refunded it. That's absolutely fine with me except I didnt get the refund, I have the refund receipt but I've still paid for it
Quick and easy, love that more bars are using apps to order. Only amendment I have for this one is the ability to order a mixed drink more easily. There should just be an option for a vodka lemonade rather than having to order a lemonade and a shot of vodka on the side.
Can't reset password - have managed to use it once, but now in a continuous loop as system no longer recognise either original password or allows change. Pretty basic fault.
Great experience so far. Get a table, order and wait. No more queues. P.S. Can't use gift card code at checkout. have to go to the bar to use gift card which cancels the benefit of having the app
Good app, but the inability to edit meals (eg, no salad or replace chips with fries) is a massive problem that needs addressed. It means I order on the app, and then need to talk to a staff member, which defeats the point of app ordering
Food is great but improvements possible with App. Some kind of layout indicating what table numbers are where would really help as not all tables have numbers , especially outside ones.
Non-intuitive, payment didn't work (Google Pay), made me create an account and sign in 3 separate times, and I still had to complete the order as a guest. App truly sucks!
Doesn't work. Tried this app in three different pubs and the app does not hand off to PayPal properly. It cancels the order each time and does not confirm the order when you click pay. Useless app
App has always been a bit clunky but last few times we've tried to order it just sits spinning after doing the external card verification bit. Rubbish and annoying.
It will be great with a few updates, for instance, cannot edit meals, this is a massive down side. Cannot order tap water, cannot see the meal deal for kids options without the menu in front of you and even then the menu does not contain the same options as the app does. A few tweaks and it will be very handy to use.
The choosing of food was fine but it crashed when trying to use Paypal to pay. Also the system hasn't got the option to obtain a receipt. Not an issue for most but when travelling for work and claiming expenses this rules out Greene King pubs as an option. Such a simple thing to add, maybe accessed via the order history? Also is the history reset after a week? Unable to see my previous order that was definitely there for at least a couple of days after using the app. This app needs some work.
Very underwhelming. The app advertises itself on the basis of its "Order & Pay" functionality, but warns you to check before you travel to make sure this is available at the pub. Only there seems to be nowhere to actually check the pub has Order & Pay! Can't seem to order anything. The app annoyingly exits when you press "Back". Claims to offer discounts but there aren't any. Worst of all, app crashes when you try to add a payment method. Wetherspoons app is so much better than this.
It's fine but downloading and installing an app, then creating an account (username / password) is overly complicated when you're hoping for a quick order. I've been to pubs where you scan a QR code on the table which takes you to a mobile friendly Web page with the menu from which you can order and then simply pay with whatever card details are in your digital "wallet". It's simpler.
Easy to use and straight forward order. We just wait the usual time to be served. No queues and even the drinks were served at the table as opposite of usual. Only criticism to the app eficiency is that any offer of the day only can be seen at checkout but not when selecting it, wich is a bit unpractical Off course you can see the menu and offers reproduced out of the order tab, but still I would prefer to get the net price when adding to the basket.
App kept crashing while trying to place my order. Menus are a bit clunky and hard to navigate, even when using search. Drinks and soft drinks being in seperate menus is a bit daft. Trying to reset your password while signing in is a bit of a faff you have to jump through many hoops. But once it worked... happy days!
The app is pretty nice and the search function is straight-forward to use, however we wanted a couple of cocktails that were on the paper menus, but were not on the app. We asked a member of staff and she said that happens often. The app doesn't seem to be updated often. A quite a few food items were listed as unavailable on the app, which was helpful in adding us decide what we wanted and saved a member of staff coming to tell us after the order is placed, which happens with other food apps.
This app is great, saves going up anywhere to order especially during Covid but is brilliant for a lazy bum like me or when it's your round for drinks haha! 😁 Only issue we have had is when ordering a meal there's no option to amend it. So for example when ordering a breakfast my partner is allergic to mushrooms but there is no option to amend the order.
This app is now useless because there is no need to social distance. And secondly the app asks you to confirm your age is over 18 so you think you can leave your wallet and ID at home for the waiter to ask for the ID when ordering from the app. This app is pointless if you can't leave your ID at home!
Had a while where every time I tried to order on the app it would get to the payment section then crash. That seems to be fixed now thank god as I love the app xx
Normally really happy but really disappointed as the items I wanted didn't have twice then my husband had the same ....went on app lots of drinks missing....so sad used to love it here bit upside staff brilliant shame they have to work in this
Good app that's easy to use. Our main issue is why we can't use a gift card as a form of payment?? Very annoying because the card reader never seems to work and the bar staff have to type in the long card number which creates queues at the bar and makes you feel awkward for using a gift card. Would be much better using it via the app.
Ordering was fine, but then I was told that my drink wasn't available and the app isn't up to date. When my food didn't arrive I went to the bar and was told that my sandwich wasn't available. The kitchen had tried to tell the bar but had not managed to get through on the phone. So I guess they decided to wait for me to enquire. Pretty poor.
Issues make this difficult to use. I'm not sure if it's just the pub I'm trying to book a table for that is the problem but it keeps giving me an error message saying "please choose a session first". There is no option to choose a session and I've tried all the other selection options without success. Looks like a good old-fashioned phone call and speak to a real person is still the easiest way.
Worst garbage app ever 25 minutes to download, register, find the pub, select items, go to payment, have app crash, not save order and repeat with each and every step in the app being completed twice as it can't find the menu, can't see the drinks, doesn't have access to payment etc. Ended up with the waitress taking our order. If I can't order, you don't make money.
it's great but... for me there is "Lime and Soda" missing from the soft drinks which I think is quite popular. Also no option to request certain things - I understand why they don't want a great big text field, but something simple like "No ice" could be available. Just little bits missing to make it better and a faster rollout might be useful as only available in 2/10 pubs in my area.
Good little app, does what it is supposed to without unnecessary adds. The Lord Ted, Newark, is a reasonably price, family friendly pub. Give it a go if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed if you don't expect anything more than your typical chain pub food, not a complaint or a dig, it is what it is.
