I just bought a Nissan Leaf and was interested in charging it at the local Shell Recharge station. Couldn't get the app downloaded, so I went back home to try with my wifi connected. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. It just endlessly says "uploading offline maps for your convenience", and then closes. Three calls to customer support. Can't pay with a credit card. They let me connect for free. Don't understand why you can't pay with a credit card.

The application won't connect to the EV station we located. I tried installing it on two devices and it took me a half hour and multiple attempts to get it connected. Finally when I'm connected, it says it will take over 9 hours to charge the car to full. I mean it's electric so I get it, but I didn't expect that long. When the app responds it works well enough, but it keeps timing out.

App is OK when everything goes smoothly. However, many charging cables don't work. When a cable doesn't work and you try to charge, the app just hangs and doesn't let you back out for a few minutes. ("Remote Stop not supported", even though there's a giant "Stop Charge" button on my screen).

I encountered 3 bugs when trying to sign up. 1. The password field doesn't accept all special characters and it doesn't tell you which ones. 2. It errored that I didn't have a valid last name because there was a space at the end of my name. 3. You forced me to accept data collection so I clicked on the terms of service and I was taken to a 404 page that in big friendly letters told me "It seems you might have taken a wrong turn. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us."

This app gets very confused on charging sessions and can't seem to really deal with the OCPI session competently. It's pretty irritating. Using this even more, wow, it's total trash. You should be deeply embarrassed by this. It's quite shameful To the reply below. You can't stop the charge, it brings up old charges, the cable doesn't return, it stops at $1 every time. There's literally dozens of severe high priority show stopping blocker defects.

App did not work. I called support and they told me I had to wait for email to resolve tge app issue. I was at unit and let someone else use while I resolve with support to use. While the other car was charging The unit was shut down by support and took a few minutes to reload. It err messaged and I was told unit was not working at all. A few minutes later it came up and support insisted it was still down on her end.

Spent 30mins installing.. uninstalling.. topped up credit.. but the app I think is incompatible with S22 Ultra. Just keep authorising and doesn't allow me to click stop charging. In the end wasted my topup credits and time. Car wasn't charged at all.

Literally the worst. Keeps glitching and giving error codes. All the chargers have the same name so you have no clue which one to pick on the app. Never loads and couldn't even get the charger to work. I loaded $20 into the app, absolute waste of money.

This app is terrible. The first time you use it, it's all right. After that, It crashes if you try to log in (on my S7 Edge). Completely unusable!

Cant even sign up after shell bought greenlots. This app is useless. Edit: it is now been 2 weeks and the app and machines both accept us customers and work but two stars missing because number one the machine doesn't have the QR code for the app you have to look it up yourself the code that's on there simply gives you a machine number which is already on it and there are no directions in the app on where to sign up for the RFID card

I've spent 45 minutes installing and un-installing Greenlots on my Android Moto G7. 10 minutes of that was with there phone support. When I open the app, it states it's downloading the offline maps. Then it pops up a window and everything disappears. I open the app again, and while it's hourglassing the maps info, I can click on the three lines, and see that I'm logged in to my account. Then the maps install fails again. I am uninstalling it on my phone. The web version works fine on my laptop. Just fyi to all.

I have an account but every time I try to log in via the app on my android phone, it just crashes. I have deleted and reloaded but nothing fixes it.

It didn't remember my login from my old green lots account so I tried to sign up again but it says Charles is an invalid first name. I tried using Chuck and that worked but then it said my email is invalid. So I can't use it unless I change my email which is crazy.

This was a very good app, then they updated and it's not as nearly as efficient and before. My credit card got frozen I'm the app, I can't use it, can't remove it. Also, once you close the app while charging, good luck getting back to charging status. The charging station locator just doesn't work. For me it's stuck in Africa... Quite far from Hawai'i. It's a very slow app as well, I'm using Samsung S10/Android, everything else works like a charm. Got timeout some 3 times in the last 5 minutes.

Update: My issues have since been solved with the latest series of patches. The app now runs pretty smoothly and functions properly. I'm satisfied with the app, overall. Thanks for the support. Consistently gives the http 401 error on my Razer Phone 2. Can't even check the status of my charging session, let alone initiate a new one. Customer service does not seem to be able to help. This never happened with the old app.

The worst charge stations and app ever! They randomly stop charging and sometimes don't even notify you. If i could give them 0 stars, I would! There are 8 stations at my work and I always have to check my car visually because they randomly stop working. Avoid them as much as you possibly can, even if that means a short walk! Yes, they are that bad!

App ruined by shell. Before it was simple and easy to use. Now the app gives a 401 error every time. I have to log out and log in to get it to work. Also the amount of steps required to start charging has increased. You have to click twice as many screens now all saying the same stupid stuff. Your quality assurance team needs to be fired.

Clunky. Usually have to stand around relogging in while i was hoping just to plug in and go. Then after I log in I have to navigate back to the station. Very rare that i don't have to type in the station ID instead of the QR code. When nothing goes wrong, it's ok, but the clunkiness of how it deals with hiccups shows the devs haven't thought through all the paths. But i have no choice but to use this app sometimes-- though that is changing rapidly with more and more chargers out there.

App freezes, crashes, fails to load money even after its removed from my account. Running 8gb ram and an octo-core proc. There is no reason for these issues except its a terribly optimized piece of.. software. On top of that they camouflage the "use existing credit" option when you start the charge and make it really easy to select a saved payment option. Very shady practice IMO.

Update Since the Shell takeover the app is no longer handicap accessible. Unable to even log in. Move back to Greenlots app. It was bad but Shell is awful.

Worst charging app I've used yet, terrible experience. Don't know why Shelll stations aren't compatible with the charging apps already out there.

Works well on my S10+ samsung. 1. May I suggest lowering charging prices during off peak hours. 2. Show percentage of charge on the app.

Absolutely unusable. First it was password problems, then crashes. Have installed and uninstalled more times than I want to remember. Now it just crashes. Tried every imaginable fix on my phone, from clearing cache and restarting; it just won't work. Ordering an rfid card instead and now have to pay $5 for that. Fix your darn app. It's not that hard.

It installs and opens but is extremly slow and unresponsive and crashes after a few minutes. Useless. Uninstalled.

Works fine. One of the times I used this it I had bad cell signal so it took a good 2 minutes before the charger actually started charging.

A few months ago they did an "upgrade" which has caused the app to be interminably slow on startup. It shows the map with a little circle going round and round for a looong time. I just want to get started charging. Otherwise the app is great.
