GreenRoad Mobile Edition

This app is rubbish. If companies use it or something similar, I hope they understand calibration, roundabouts with interesting camber etc. Best un-installed.

It doesn't have to run in the background unless you want it to. Uninstall the old version, install the new one and say ok to all the notifications etc. Once installed you can go into your phone settings and turn off GreenRoads notifications. You can then open it like the old version whenever you want to see that day or week violations. It's actually a great update. More intuitive.

Not a fan never have been and this is not because I don't have a green score I do ,the vehicles they are used on all differ ,even two of the exact same vehicle can and do behave differently even though driven the same ,when my employer is told this it's just brushed away as me being at fault, not the green road settings for that vehicle.

Oct 2020: App is poor. System in vehicles are poor. Inconsistent. Inaccurate. Apr 2022: with different employer now. Greenroad is equally as woeful. Different company. Different buses. Different towns. Different routes. The only constant is how truly bad 'GREENROAD' is. Fact is, any employee really has to question the sincerity & validity of a company that chooses to subscribe to this pathetic nonsense system. Just read the vast majority of reviews for overwhelming proof.

This system is truly awful. My employer uses it on our fleet of vehicles, and no two are alike. Arbitrarily-Flashing-Amber Road rather than GreenRoad. No way to flag faulty units in app. No way to log out of the vehicle when done. No way to highlight events that may be suspect. Two identical vehicles will yield different GreenRoad results even when driven consistently. And the app randomly.crashes on startup. Awful inconsistent system.

Must try harder. Loads of things missing in this version compared to the old one. Missing an overall map and route, vehicle number, month to date score, speed at time of event. The old one was a little clunky but this one is far worse. Add the features and I'll change the score.

The app sometimes works sometimes does not. I'm using it on different smartphones (Android) and could not find any certain reasons why sometimes it does not detect driving and does not record a trip. When it works it detects dangerous situation quite well. But current level of app reliability is absolutely not acceptable for business use. You cannot rely on its report when assess employees driving skills.

Awful app! It is not registering my trips at all but if I go onto the we page all my trips are on there. Why is this not registering on the app. Also it drains battery. MUST have app running in background or it will not work at all. Just go on the Web page as It is so much easier. Still difficult to work out but much easier than this nightmare app!!!

Doesn't load very quickly, not a lot of data recorded. Basic at best.

Forces you to run app in background. When setting up app it asks if you want to allow the app to run in the background, and that doing so may effect battery life. You can proceed if you select "allow".but you cant if you select "deny". No thanks ill stick with the old app.

Algorithms for acceleration, braking and cornering are simplistic and create erroneous events. There are numerous errors in speed thresholds. The app speed threshold does not match the posted speed limit. Erroneous messages while driving create mental distractions and bad attitudes. Lastly, there are situations in normal traffic where driving the speed limit creates greater risks for the driver and other vehicles, than would exist by driving with the flow of traffic.

Green Road Central was so much better. Everytime I use drive I have to force close the app or it drains my battery. I can't access the fleet number of the bus I was driving anymore, and it seems finding the area the event happened it is a lot harder. The improvements are being able to view miles driven and idling time in minutes, however I've given up using the app after having to keep force closing it all the time.

Nowhere near as good as the central app. No bus information is provided so you can't report over sensitive buses or fueller who fails to touch in. Also there is no running total for the month. It would have been much better if this app was more like the desktop version with more information to help driver development.

Power intensive app, there is no need for your phone to gather all this info using your data in the process. This should all be done using the system on the bus (like the old app). Ioads of info missing compared to the old app too. I will not be using this one.

Very inefficient. It doesn't protect drivers entry from being used by subsequent drivers. Once driver sign on and pass over the bus to the next one , the previous green road account shouldn't log the next driver record. By failing to do so ,now records are mixed up and drivers has to look in to their record to check the accuracy of the record and report the failure to managers. So, is a waste of time. Very poor app.

Concept of App is great, but it drains the phone battery significantly that my phone goes off before reaching home from work. I normally have put in charge at work. This is weakening my phone's battery live. I think this can be improved. As Google timeline does take my trips and activities without battery drain.

It is ok for driving but not helpful while you drive. By that, the app should let you know what the speed limits are prior to breaking the speed limit. Basically, it keeps that information secret until you violate it. The worst thing about the Green Road app is that it is requesting secure corporate passwords and will not let you continue until you provide it. This is an unacceptable security risk which violate federal laws especially if it allows access to ITAR OR EAR CONFIDENTIAL informat.

Previous version was so much easier to see events and details of such like speed and time. With depot drivers adding unknown events and other odd things going on there's now a degree needed to figure what n where. Looks good but as an interface it fails in comparison to last one.

Inconsistant, unreliable, false reads and overall poor. If it actually was consistant it would have a higher score. How can you harsh break at 0MPH? How can you be speeding at 11MPH in a 30MPH zone? Harsh acceleration going up a hill at 2MPH and just touching the gas pedal? It picks up you driving vehicles that you left 5 mins prior. That is green road itself. App often takes time to update to show information.

Good but as with all apps rely on data that is not always right flagging speeding in a 20mph zone when the zone is actually a 30mph zone. braking into a corner and accelerating out the app thinks it's right to accelerate into the corner and brake out which is plain dangerous It's not bad but has plenty of faults

I use this app for work on the busses its great for finding were a bus is or were abouts. If its not working its on the bus side not the app. It works great 👍 The only thing I would change is when you search a bus number id rather it tell you if its parked or driving or inop And not have to select yourself weather its parked or moving. Like the old version. Please change it devs.

Very sensitive - records events like acceleration and cornering when moving with the flow of traffic. No parameters available for what triggers these events. Also have contacted developer's for support, through app & email, multiple times and rarely get a response.

The App is difficult to configure as it require a LOT of permissions. It wants to be configured to run manually ALL of the time. It drains your battery at a rate of about 10 - 15% per hour when active and probably 5% when running in the background. If you are not forced to use this app as part of your job description DUMP it

It's gone backwards this app. Now you don't have a record of the fleet number of the bus you have driven. I used to use this feature so I knew in advance which buses were more likely to cause events and adapt accordingly. I'm probably giving up on this now.

Why does the app have to constantly run in the background, if you select no you can use the app at all, I installed the app today and my phone has used twice the battery it normally does, why does it need to run in the background constantly... no where near as good as the previous app uninstalled !!

This app certainly serves the purpose by highlighting the distractions while driving. Alerts are being showed very accurately during sudden accelerations or brakes and specially the sharp turns. Good work; easy to use; serves the purpose. Thumbs up for the effort.

Unable to view dashboard. Records my trips but I have no clue what my safety score is

The accuracy reading of the application while driving is phenomenal.
