At first I found it dull and then it hit me in the head as by karma. The balancing challenges it poses makes you stop to think it's not such a simple matter to grow steadily without messing up at one point or the other. Careful planning not always succeed without an issue. Truly challenging and involving.
Once you find where everything is, compared to the desktop version, it's easy to use. Yet to try it with multiple cities, which will test the app to it's limits.
The game is pretty much pay to win but I don't mind that. I am giving 1 star because it has so many bugs and glitches. From reading a message to selecting someone's city, almost everything has it's own bug.
Potentially an interesting game, but the game designers have made all the usual MMO city builder mistakes. Game is dominated by a handful of apparently full time gamers. New players are immediately pounced on and destroyed at earliest opportunity. Defenses are expensive and take a long time to build, but seem to crumble instantly at the approach of the armies of any of the afformentioned bully players. Make defenses a lot stronger and effective and it might become playable for more players.
Abusive players. Game support doesn't do anything about this. Game itself consumes a lot of time and is not that great strategy game as other especially pc version. So unless you pay to win everything is a waste of time.
Played 9 years ago so getting into it again. As like the last few times I played, when starting, I feel it's only fair that the big dogs aren't in your backyard. Alliance chats are hard to utilize. Page jumping and too low to get to current post 30% of the time. Otherwise the game is like I left it years ago.
Limited messages reading, problems with the alliance forum. You are able to give commands but eventually you'll need a browser...
I turned notifications off in Android settings. Yet every time I open the game it opens Android settings. This way app "tells" me to turn them on again which I don't wanna do. I think this is bad UX.
I lost my level 25 game because my email apparently doesn't exist. I had to use a different one & start over.
This game is very stressful and a waste of time you can spend days building a city and someone can just take it away in a matter of minutes I have nothing good to say about this game
FuXin awesome game, but free to play, and pay to win.
I really love this game, the interface is nice and easy, the build times are respectable at first but gt longer but that's okay, but when you have only one city and other players are able to take it as a colony, that's quite upsetting to have start from square one again. I reinstalled it multiple times and it's always been good but then after four days my city gets taken
After not playing for several years decided to play again. After getting my password set to my old username, I start on a completely different user name. In the last 30 minutes of desktop play, game has crashed 20 times. Downloaded the app. App wknt sync to my profile, giving me both wrong user name and wrong password. It wont even pick up my email. I'm not sure what happened to this once great game, but it sure looks like it has gone the way of the Spartans; straight to the grave yard.
Graphics are ok, but the cenario is static 90% of the time, the few animated things in the game are some bad rendered characters and their actions are somewhat senseless, like flaying arms in the air or running very fast in the same patterns with a mining cart. There's also a very annoying bug which consist on the game going down to 2 fps everytime your cellphone blocks and you come back, or when you quit the game and tap to go back, having to log in everytime that happens.
The app is clumsy with some core features of the game not accessible easily
Pretty standard pay to win MMORTS. Good time waster. I play it exusively at work.
Devs are failures. Allowing pay to win accounts harrass and bully smaller new players off the game to the point no one wants to play. Had to restart multiple times because one account has 5 different worlds and they intentionally drive out anyone who is new as soon as their shield goes down. Toxic and hateful.
Such a good game. A real classic. Sure it gets quite pay to win, but it's not pay to have fun. Still a great game without needing to buy into the gold mechanic.
Great game! -Awesome game content -Always something to do -Dont have to break the bank in-order to be a tip player, can do fine as a f2p -minimal lagging/Buggs -no ads -decent graphics and nice music - not to much of a drain on data. Would recommend 123/10
The game is pretty interesting and good for killing time but the app doesn't let you log in a lot of the time which can be frustrating because you could be getting attacked etc and your not able to do anything apart from try to use the browser version which Is next to impossible on a mobile...apart from that it's a good game.
It used to be fun, but know is just a high speed pay to win game. Don't recommend this game to anyone unless you are ready to pump money in it.
Good game. Have been playing on and off many years. Slow in the beginning but worth it. Very long game to grind
Never played Grepolis before but great game especially on Android. I wouldn't play if it was only on browser I think. Pretty intuitive and beautiful. I had at first troubles in the market until I discovered that we could add or remove 100 resources by clicking on the left side or right of the bar. A lot more intuitive than the browser version I tried actually. Sometimes you can encounter minor interface bugs but they are not persistant. Notification system is great. Developpers did really well.
