Grid Connect

This app is terrible! Changes to the iPad version have made it it almost impossible to use. Zooming in and out cocks up everything. Prior to the March 2022 update, going full screen meant that you could turn your iPad to landscape and have a full screen. Now, no matter how you set it, you get the teensy screen. If someone comes to the door, they are usually gone by the time of any notification, let alone by the time you get the app running, which can take a couple of goes. Very unimpressed!

Perfect solution for automating your home. Easy to use, everything you can think of to automate your home can be connected to this app via grid connect brands. 10/10. I now have my CCTV, Light Switches and Power Outlets all on gridconnect. Excellent all in one solution that works with Google assistant. Would Highly recommend as it is a competitive price point for those looking to automate their existing home.

Great app that can be improved. 1st the response times for viewing cameras is very slow. 2nd can you add a option so you can arrange the order of items. 3rd for the widget can you add the black ground so you can see if they are turned on or off as its very hard to see, so can you make it a dark/ light theme option. Cheers.

Great product, needs volume control for outside speaker. I can hear visitors fine on my phone or tablet, however the visitor cannot hear me, volume level is very low. Tried to look for volume control on the Grid Connect app. Couldn't find one, only for the chime unit. This product needs a volume control. Please update firmware so we can control the volume level for the outside speaker.

Door bell works. ORION smart from Bunnings. But after that it is a good as usless. If some one rings it takes ages to unlock the phone/ sign in / secure network / connect. By then the delivery guy is out the gate and getting back into the van. Can not find a way to have the door bell responce to be ontop and easy to access.. That is the reason for a door bell app. Fix that and it would be great.. Also trying to set a schedule - Motion Alert between 1900 and 0600 a complicated nightmare.

The grid connect concept is quite good however it would work better if playback could be viewed more quickly using a speed toggle as running over a 24 Hr period with extremely sensitive resolution is very time consuming and things can be missed. The grid connect camera resolutions leave a lot to be desired. The 2K system won't resolve number plates at 15m and that is made worse at night even with supporting lights. Some antiglare filters are also needed for reflective plates.

Mixed opinion, The app itself was easy to set up. To link to my Google home account was challenging. The low power notification falls into an all or nothing approach (I had 50 notifications between 2am and 7am telling me of low battery), but no slow lead up time (charge in the next 2 days based on current use suggestions). Video recall is a bit challenging, it would be nice to screengrab from 30 seconds before doorbell is rung and continue for a couple minutes. Overall more happy than not.

Absolutely useless, set up cameras a couple of days ago, not a single alert (yes I've checked all notification settings on the app and Android settings). I get alerts if I watch the feed directly, defeating the purpose of these security cameras. Will be returning for a refund next week, I wanted security cameras, not a static feed that alerts me to nothing.

The app is fine, but it's really slow when you try and move the camera at times the app doesn't load the footage so incase of an emergency it's a horrible app/ camera product. But overall it's ok to check in general basically a generic cam app that is really slow at times. 2/5 stars there's so much better camera tech and apps that are much better.

Completely lost as to how to set up beyond one point which I somehow lucked on to get it to go. The instructions are ambiguious to say the least. I bought 16 of these units and only the first has worked, all the rest refuseto sync. I'm not overloading my wifi, all modules are within 10 meters and I have a wifi signal which is at full capacity still at 50 meters. I have read the instructions at least 50 times and cannot add 1 more module beyond 1. I rate this product a 0 for user friendliness a 0 for instructions a 0 for ease of use and a massive you guessed it 0 for value for money and the expense. $260.00 down the toilet which ironicaly was the first and only module that works. Hmmm, doorbell clunky useless delay to long needs faster response, charging pathetic should be able to hardwire it so not having to disconnect charge and spend 10 mins trying to get screw back in, App well adding devices can be annoying, for example I have 2 smart USB power points which I cannot now reconnect either in standard or AP mode, Also have sensor in garage will not hold time for 2 mins reverts back to default time turning off in 10 seconds so again another fail.Also have 3 pack google

Worked for about 10 months, then no doorbell etc but camera worked. Now no camera but managed to get door bell working. Device off line. Rang Arlec and they suggested getting iinet to switch off band ?. Did that. It was already switched off. Fed up with the whole thing. I've reset, paired, removed app and reinstalled etc. Still not working!!!!

The app is fine, front doorbell hmm it's iffy . Notification for movement detected can take up to 1 minute or so. Ring the bell can take 30 seconds to activate phone. Very few false alarms though. Rear camera is about a 10 second delay for app notification . Both have same strength wifi signal.

Functional, but barely. Can't adjust more than one setting for my heater in a single automation task. Would do it through Google Home but the temp and mode aren't controllable. Also devs have weird hatred of capital letters

Currently using it to monitor my smart plugs and power usage. Great app. Would be great to see it track hourly usage as well, and perhaps provide a setting to specify refresh interval to check on settings.

Setting up automations and scenes is completely unintuitive. Cant even set up to gradually brighten a light bulb at a specified time. Way too hard to use for a home automation app in 2022.

Everything was good before the update, now the usage monitor is incorrect. It gives a false reading on voltage and power, even I have all devices switched off.

Satisfying experience so far! 🥴👍 Update: More than a year later, I have added a number of extra devices, and can recommend the system. There may be better systems out there, but not in this price range.

I was in the same mindset as those who awarded this device one start. But I held that back by exploring more patiently. Then I realised what I didn't do or follow per instruction. That I realised the fault was with my knowledge if device, somewhat like a lousy tradesman quarrelling with his tools! Now I conclude its the best $99 I had ever spent. Mega benefits vs small outlay! So everybody, when you bought this gadget, please no negative mindset yet, until you fully understand instructions!

Does not work, only useful to check status of devices if you get them to connect. Schedule & response to event sometimes works other times fails. It also Randomly rings door bell ? Which is not on the system but is same brand

that must be the worst app ever made. can't pair the device again and it wont let me login in the account as you are only given the option to create an account. the device pairing is totally broken as well.

This app used to be great. Now it shows all my devices as offline, I have to refresh multiple times to get them to appear before I can use them. Very frustrating.

This is simply junk. Motion sensor detects nothing ! Even waving my hand right in front of it - it detects nothing. Will be returning.

It's great for using your phone as a control but "hey google" isn't impressive. Installed cieling fan/ light switch and you say "Hey Google switch room 1 fan on" and it does switch on.... say "Hey Google switch room 1 light on" and it just switches the fan on... it can't tell the difference in each switch..

This camera is great value for money! It is fantastic. Does everything it says on the box and more. Installation is a breeze. All captured videos are excellent quality, HD. for approximately $50 you can't go wrong!

Smart bulbs are dumb. Keep failing and then you have to delete everything and re set it all again. And linking with Google home you can sit there for hours trying to set it all up.

After you exit the app, cannot resume viewing. Have to close background task as well, then start fresh for it to work.

Camera app keeps showing camera is off-line at random times. Internet is fully working and camera seems to random disconnect.

since i remved a device & then since the last update i havnt been able to add a new device... I've tried pairing & reset the app... still cant add device... i have tried erything that was recommended but nothing... very disappointing

Could use more options for camera like the length of motion recording. Other than that this app works good with the camera and the kettle
