When a storm decided to come back for a second sweep, light was dropping and my phone was getting low, I opened this quick app, took a screen print and emailed my route plan including my starting point. It was invaluable as it took seconds.
Great app. Use it for making map of woods. Good to about 5m. Occasionally throws a wobbly, no better than 20m so need to confirm points next day. Checked repeatability with 50 readings at my desk. Most points within 5m circle. This on cheep and old Android phone. Surprising.
Picked up satellites quickly and like the ability for 10 digits - essential for my work. Just real shame that there is no accuracy in meters given - needed for my work for pinpoint accuracy
It does what it says on the tin but as others have said it requires access to files. Can't really see why this is necessary for an app that's so simple. Have uninstalled it to find an alternative that does not require these permissions.
Stable reading to 8 figures, variable readings at 10. This was at home on WiFi, perhaps only as good as the device's GPS? Haven't tried it in remote places.
Works when it wants too. Usually when it is crucial the app malfunctions. Shame as it is so simple to use and all round good looking app. Fix it would you.. thank you..
Unless u give this app access to all your files it won't work. Do not install this app! It is a security nightmare. Should not be allowed on Google Play store.
Its fine for what I want, mainly botanical use. Large clear numbers and not intrusive or popping up randomly unasked for.
Does exactly what it says on the tin, grid reference to 6, 8 or 10 figures. Very useful.
I work for a Internal Drainage Board, so have to use a Grid Ref points every day. Works every time even when it dosen't have a phone signal.
Great little App, will be using now with the added Dartmoor 365 Square referencing. Thanks for this great feature.
Amazing, simple and so useful DM365 functionality is a great add on. Thanks.
Great tool if you know how to properly read a map.... Not the layman's Google maps which is also great btw
Use for wildlife surveys and is pretty accurate, comparable with a friends expensive GPS device.
Very useful and accurate enough for most purposes.
Brillant. Use it all the time on the mountains. Very basic, but that's all I require.
Was a great app. Used for my work every day. Giving un accurate grid references now.
A brilliant ap. 'Saved' my life when hill-walking more than once. Would be lost without it ha, ha.
Just a simple app which does exactly what it set's out to do.
Used it once in the Lakes as a back-up. Quick, easy and spot on
Very limited app with very few features including no button or ability to share or copy the reference
To me it's vital than an app like this works offline. I've tested in airplane mode and it won't show any results. I know the app needs to make money with ads, but if it stops working without signal then the app is worse than useless. I can't trust it will work when I need it most.
