If you drive as any part of your living, the Gridwise app is worth it. Even the free version tracks mileage for you for tax purposes and I'd get it on the strength of that alone. The app's insights are helpful too. I only just started driving and it tells you what sections of the city are trending in the directions you want. Going to try the 7-day trial of the premium version too, but haven't yet.
works as advertised as far as I can tell. they reason for taking away one star is bcuz, idk where they get their "insight" data, which tells you the best places to drive to maximize profits, but I've tried a couple times and I always seem to make less than I would if I stick to my normal areas that are typically much farther down the list. some of these zones are 30-45m away so that's a high chunk of time wasted when they are not accurate :( otherwise the app is good for what it is.
I liked this app for the first few days. Now it crashes, counts my miles double, or just stops counting in the middle of a shift. I let it slide the first time but its been days in a row and keeps happening. Not acceptable! Completely unreliable service that I am sad to let go. Now i have to spend time going back on my google location history and figuring out which miles were for work. Waste of time = waste of money, especially in this business! Galaxy S8+ app and phone up to date. 3/20/22
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THE DARK MODE! 6 STARS! Now that that's out of the way, this app is awesome! It is the best at what it does! It's the only app I e found that is reliable on my Samsung Galaxy device that also doesn't require hours of clicking and swiping to properly log my mileage. And now that it's finally accepted the system wide dark mode flag it doesn't blind me in the evening and after the sun goes down.
Great app, but a bit of a power hog. The constant GPS use will do that. They could fix this easily by allowing the app to use GPS only when the app is running. Also, my app has now been syncing with Doordash for three weeks.
I've used the app for a few months now hoping it would get better but it hasn't. It crashes at least once daily and when it comes back up it credits me for many more miles than I've actually driven. The last straw was today when the app used 4.4 GB of data in about 3 hours.
I'm uninstalling this app. This app is no longer a useful tool for gig economy workers. The app constantly crashes, which results in inflated milage and an inaccurate record of earnings, which is the major function of this app. The devs seem to have given up since this has not been fixed in literal months! It's been real, Gridwise 🖕🤬🖕
You are better off keeping up with your miles yourself. I have been using this app. It is worthless. I think its keeping up with my miles then at the end of my shift it hadn't tracked them. It has happened to me several times. You can't depend on this app. To do what it says.if I could give it no stars I would.
Would easily give it a 4 or maybe a 5 if it wasn't crashing on me so often. It happens enough that I still keep a written log of miles, expenses, and income. Would also service apps like Handy For Pros, Tasker by Task Rabbit, and Jiffy Pro added to the app list. Courier/delivery apps Frayt, Bungee, and GoShare would be good additions also. Might as well throw those crooks over at UShip on there as well
This app promotes Uber like you can make an actual living off of it. But that's a total lie, the cost of operating overshadows any profits to be made and I live in Orlando, Fl not to mention how often the app glitches and doesn't track your data properly. Costing you potentially 100's if not 1,000's in taxes.
So far it seems cool but one tiny gripe I have is the notification that asks if I'm driving and has the responses doesn't work .. if I tap "start tracking" on the notification, it just opens the app and I have to start it through the full app.
It's not available for my Airport, XNA. This renders all the page features inoperable. The constant notifications and location tracking are invasive. Disappointing.
This app is great! It's very helpful in keeping track of my reshare earnings, expenses, and mileage. It gives an estimated mileage deduction for taxes too, and I can download the info when I'm ready to do my taxes.
The notifications are sometimes useful, however, the app doesn't seem to know when it is currently tracking a shift, or when my phone is stationary. Every day, app already running and tracking, "Are you on a shift? Start tracking!" Every night, 2 am, falling asleep, "Are you on a shift? Start tracking!" Other than that the app is fine, and syncs well with DoorDash.
very cool and keeps track of so many things for me. From gas miles , time on the road, money earned from working. very worth while and if your keeping records and savings receipts this app will help with that just add the things you buy , for me I put in how much for gas , things i buy on the road ect. and I see a Pie chart to show what is the money going to . real cool I'm using it everyday I work Lyft uber all driving jobs. hope you enjoy it as much as I do .
Works really good and keeps track of everything what I like about. You can put in mileage from your Odometer and do a lot more. Never done me wrong. Keep it up!
Well, it used to be good... After the most recent 2 updates, the app freezes trying to save a shift and remains stuck and unusable.
Most reviews probably bots. You need to pay 100 or more dollars a year to get any meaningful stats. So an app that provides stats based upon users allowing this app to track their movements and private personal income, then tries to charge these same users a ridiculous amount of money to show them the stats that gridwise gathered from users allowing them to gather their personal data. 10 bucks a month, scam...don't let this app track you so they can sell your data to others the ripoff...als
I like the app, but it crashes while tracking my shift and also does not track mileage reliably. Tracked that I drove 300 miles in 2 hours.
This app is horrible at tracking milage. I was tracking for about 3.5 hours and did over 80 miles and all it tracked was 3.7 miles i would not recommend this app i always have to manually put my miles
This app used to be very useful but now has erroneously stopped tracking all of my income to linked gigs and as of a couple days ago, stopped tracking my mileage. Taxes are not something to play around with and accuracy and consistency are paramount. I can no longer trust this app to perform it's basic functions. I strongly discourage use of this app to anyone.
Does NOT sync with Uber Eats. I wanted to like this app because it claims to work with many apps. DoorDash was fine. Then Uber Eats ? It would never send me a confirmation text. After multiple attempts. So, this is pretty much useless if you drive for Uber Eats.
pretty great app. I use it regularly for tracking miles and it does a good job. I wish there was some functionality to integrate with the dasher app to automatically start tracking because I forget to enable it sometimes. Also need a way to view expenses and delete them then I'll give 5 stars
I wish I could give this 10 stars. Seriously this app rocks! The CEO really seems to care about drivers and the data this app provides is really useful. I migrated over from stride health because they kept trying to push health coverage on me. This app is phenomenal for delivery drivers. This app helps me with my taxes by consolidating all my delivery miles in one place. Try out the app switching function!
I have enjoyed this app until recently. I put my odometer at zero and turn gridwise on to track and many times lately it is tracking double the miles. Thankfully I can edit to show true mileage. Any thoughts on how to fix this would be great!
Nobody: My phone: Gridwise is not responding. This happens about 30 times a day even when I'm not using the app. Also the app doesn't count any miles ._.) it's a really nice app but idk why it crashes so much
I'm enjoying this app if you have a multiple jobs (driving) that you need to manage your mileage , hours and, tax deductions / You need this app..💯 definitely an app to get. it is already helped me a great deal and thank you gridwise ,,🤑😊
It a great free app that allows you to track everything from income, mileage, and costs you incurred for going gig work. You may need to do your due diligence to figure out how to maximize the apps functions but that is learned over time.
Every since the last update I have been unable to add mileage or expenses without app crashing. It's a good app when it works.
I love the airport bar graph, so easy to plan my day around it. It lists the number of passengers which is SO helpful. But with DST, the app doesn't recognize that AZ doesn't do daylight savings time, and I can't find any setting to fix it. Now it's one hour off, and my brain keeps trying to adjust for an hour and getting it wrong. Before I realized what was happening, I was losing $100 a day in income. Please fix it! I love the airport feature!
