I Hit allow only 1 time use on permissions, but it still finds a way to disconnect my phone from within 10 feet of the device. That's with my phone open and on the app. My phone doesn't auto sleep, so it's not closing the app for me. The device seems to actually just turn off until the button is pressed again. 1 probe is stuck at 285F and was never usable. The other seems to be pretty accurate. Delete the app. Just use the device until it dies or the batteries do, then trash it and get better.
Deletes cook data and program if app closes or crashes. From a programming standpoint this would be extremely easy to fix in an update. Just let the app save the data give us the option to delete cooking data if we want to start over. Then I would raise my rating.
Phone is an LG G6. Following instructions, the app searches for the thermometer and then says "Could not find device, please try again". When i go into my phone's bluetooth settings, it sees it even though the app doesn't. Therefore, I cannot use the Bluetooth feature of this grill thermometer.
Got it for 8 bucks on a clearance rack. Bluetooth feature will not connect but it is still useful. Two probes come in handy when cooking mixed items on the grill (or in the oven).
Keeps disconnecting! Any time my S7 turns its screen off OR I go to another app, this disconnects from the sensor unit. The disconnects do not happen with my other Bluetooth devices! Fix it... PLEASE
disconnects often, more trouble than it's worth (having to go through Bluetooth set up every time it disconnects). BTW, i am sitting in the same room as the thermometer
the app worked only one time. if you get out of range (which is about 20 feet) it will not reconnect...ever.
Why does a thermometer app need access to my GPS and storage device? And the temperatures the probes where showing where 30 to 40 degrees higher than a standalone probe. Suspicious motivations behind the app developer if you ask me.
works fine for me, anyone complaining about the permissions requested of this app probably shouldn't have a smart phone. (it's quite easy to disable the permissions once you've installed the app)
Warning Dont use it. They want to access your storage such as pictures, contacts, and who knows what else. WHY??? I am returning the thermometer because of the app
Would give zero if i could. Hate the fact that it requires permission to access my phone's files and media. Will be returning this product immediately.
Regularly disconnects from Bluetooth and the display reading on the device regularly just turns off.
works great app but shouldnt need the requested permissions. would give 5 stars if app allowed setting a low temp alert. hi temp alerts work great
why does this need access to anything on my device to work? Just connect and read with Bluetooth, how hard is that?
Pick this baby up for around $5 bucks on clearance at rite aid when they were shutting down. After seeing lots of bad reviews had to leave a comment, this thing is amazing. I have one probe set for the meat and another for the internal temp of my smoker this is awesome! And for those with connectivity issues I mean it's Bluetooth it has to be connected in the correct order and you have to be within a certain distance. From my front deck to my kitchen I'm still connected.
