Using the GrillEye® app comes natural and, indicatively, enables you to:
- monitor up to 6 different temperatures, from a distance of up to 100m.
- easily select from a list of temperature presets for grilling or smoking (set according to the United States Department of Agriculture guidelines for safe cooking).
- create your own preset temperatures in order to tailor your grilling or smoking to your exact preferences
- set timers with notes and many more.

Google™ changed its permission requirements beginning with Android OS 6.0.
As a result the locations permission is necessary to sync your Grilleye PRO series device with your Android device.
GrillEye® PRO application does not track your location.

Good device and app. Well worth it. I had some issues with connection but after contacting Grilleye for support, they were on to my issue straight away via email and conference call. Chris was a great help, patient and easy to deal with. Nothings perfect in this world but if you can get good help, anything can be fixed.
First use. My app doesn't update temperature unless I close the app and reopen it. the temp graph is empty. I can't see anything that I'm doing wrong. The temperature display on the box goes blank so I can't read temp there either. If this continues, I'll likely he returning the product. Disappointing. edit: I received a very quick response from GrillEye with instructions to clear the issue. I'll update after testing again. Update: I followed instructions from mfg and had same problem. Returned
Love this thermometer, I didn't purchase the fancy expensive one, I wanted an accurate one and wanted it small, it will take six probes, but the two that it come with was enough for me. It has been accurate and dependable. Set and forget. If it fails, I'll buy another one from Grilleye, another thing I wanted to add was the support you get from Grilleye if you have trouble or any questions call or email them and you will get a response very soon.
I am somewhat disappointed, for the amount of money I spent on this product it constantly disconnects if I dont leave the app open and my phone screen on, because of this my temperature graphs are constantly reset and I cant view accurate graphs or real time temperatures. I had hoped that after spending $100 there would be regular app updates and improvements, however there has been nothing in a year and half. Please Help Grill Eye!
Great product and support. I didn't accept all of the permissions on initial install and couldn't connect. Sent a question to support and they responded quickly. Then I got it connected and smoked a perfect turkey without having to constantly check on progress. Awesome!
Edit 2: 5 stars!!! It connects to my s10+ now. Everything I cook has been turning out great now that i use temp instead of time. Didn't realize I needed multiple probes until I had multiple probes.😁 Not sure what fixed it. Support reached out to me and i kinda forgot to respond. My only critique is you can't do anything except check temp unless you connect to the app. I mean, at least a switch to change from C° to F° at the very least. Otherwise, I love this thing!
Thermometer is super accurate and the bluetooth connection to my phone makes it incredibly convenient. More impressive, however, was the grilleye customer service. They (Chris) went above and beyond when I had little problem with a probe
Won't pair, support email tells me to follow basic trouble shooting steps, which are exactly like the website bot. Tried with two different phones, brand new batteries, leaving batteries out overnight, etc. Probably returning later today, especially if the support email tells me to "open the device" instead of turn on the device, again.
The app does not refresh to show accurate temps. I have to restart the app to force a refresh, and then I lose my progress. I am trying the Apple app on a different device and it does not seem to have the same problem as this Google Play app.
complete rubbish. the app doesnt read right temperature compared to what's on screen, constantly restart app to get refreshed readings. having to keep going outside to double check temps as I don't trust this unit which defeats the purpose
On Android 8, version 2.0 of this app kept crashing. I rolled back to 1.7.9 and it works fine like it's supposed to. So I have to turn off auto-updates because v2.0 simply doesn't work. Bit of annoyance.
Total piece of garbage it won't hook up to my phone, it's supposed to have a white blinking light when you turn it on (Mine is green) go to support it doesn't even mention a green light can't get a hold of anyone who knows. I regret my purchase.
Why do I have to change the temperature ranges one number at a time? Also, I want the ability to set a temperature without any boundaries. There doesn't always have to be an annoying alarm.
Easy to use, no screwing around like the weber app. Just open it and straight into the screen showing temps. Better Bluetooth range than the weber aswell
do not just sit there and say your working on an update. your freaking lying. I'm beyond furious, I spent 100$ about a month ago and now I'm stuck with a product that doesn't work because you haven't updated since 2017!! your box says it will work and it doesn't with Android 10 this is beyond misleading and false advertisement. what is wrong with you people, pull your expensive product or come out with the update. I'm glad you can sleep at night taking people's money.
Used to work great. But over the past 6 months... As soon as I set a temp threshold or target, the app crashes. Please fix
Just installed and range seems to be pretty good. As a privacy issue, there is absolutely no need to force me to have my gps turned on. I already bought the tool, using me for marketing and whatever else is just wrong.
Hasn't been updated for a long time. Graph functionality dissapointing. Graph cleared at random occasions
Doesn't connect to Android 10. App last updated in 2017. Needs updated. This app is useless. When will you update it? Finally got an update (10.23.2019) It now works.
Used to be really good. Now unexplainable closes app everytime an alarm is triggered. Had this problem now for over a year
Hi. I cant pair with my new Samsung s10+? Phone found device, but cant pair via Bluetooth. If I try to pair manually by phone, I need to write code for GrillEye.
Probe temp reached. Alarm on phone went off. Pulled probe out. Stopped app. Alarm kept going. Had to uninstall app to make alarm stop.
Alarms all the time and the app crashes. I have 6 probes and all six show different temps from 60 to 300.
It works just fine most times. App sometimes doesn't want to connect to the device without having to power off and on a few times. Would like to see a feature where when the app is open and on screen I could set it not to go into power saving mode. I set my phone on a wireless charger when using it and don't want to have to login to the phone every time I want to check on the temperature.
