Have been using it as a family shopping list app for quite awhile. More than 4 years. Brilliant! Have never had any problems. Very easy and convenient to use. The shopping list might be shared with all the family members, so when one of us makes any change it appears in others' shopping lists. Love the colour marks for goods. Very handy! Can only highly recommend.
I've been using this App for years. It's great for shopping lists, gifts, lists broken between shops. You can share your lists as well. You get notifications when a list is changed. It does what it does very well! Also it you can make lists with numbers of items shown. There are suggestions when typing.
I've been using this app for many years and it is an awesome app with just one issue... you can't sort / prioritize your lists the way you want. I have quite a few lists but I have to duplicate a list and delete the old one in order to bring it to the top. Kind of annoying and having the ability to move your lists manually or sort them in a certain way of your choice would be a very nice feature to have.
Super handy list for regular shopping. Click on an item once bought and it moves to the 'Not needed' list. Click it on there to add back to the list when needed again. Colour coding groups similar items together, e.g. all veges will appear next to each other, which is handy in the supermarket. A well thought out and easy to use app.
I've been using this app for a few years now and it's been a fantastic help. The free version allows you to make up to 8 lists for different shopping situations, which is pretty generous. The pro version gives you unlimited lists, which is amazing. I recently had a small issue with the app and had to send in a ticket. An actual, real life human got back to me in less than a day with a fix for my problem. Absolutely fantastic service for a great app.
This once worked quite well. For the last 1 or 2 years, however, especially with recent versions of Android (9 and 10), the syncing works unpredictably. Some times, the lists haven't been synced even after keeping the app open for 10-20 seconds after the last change. There are no indications within the app of when it was last synced. Speaking with iOS users tells me a different story. They seem to still have a great user experience, which is a bit annoying. Giving up on this app and service.
It's a good grocery list app. I like that each item is grouped by color. I like that I can easily add previous list items back onto my list. Only 2 stars because for some reason this grocery list app requires internet access. And it's not to serve ads because I've paid for the ad free version. A paper+pencil list gets the same rating as this app - it respects my privacy but requires two hands.
Great app! User-friendly and customizable. I love that the app saves lists so common items can be added and removed easily for grocery shopping. I've been using this app for a few years now, and have considered changing, but it works so well, and stores my lists online with my profile so I was able to use them when I got a new phone, no problem - so why switch to something else?
I've tried numerous shopping list apps and this is my favorite so far. It allows me the option of putting all my needs - not just groceries - in one place. It's also visually appealing despite the ads. Above all else, it hasn't crashed or frozen on me! I would definitely recommend BMAP to anyone looking for a shopping list app.
I don't usually write reviews but after using Buy Me a Pie for years I am happy to. I often recommend it to people I know and even those I encounter while shopping. It is easy to add items to the list, categorize and then remove from the list so I know I haven't forgotten anything. I like that it remembers previous items I have added before. Making edits to or adding quantities easier. Great job creators!
Good shopping app - with categories. Match the sequencing of categories to the layout of your store and it works a treat. Supports multiple lists if you use different stores. Only downside is that voice function via Alexa does not allow an item to be specifically 'ticked' rather than added (so dupes on master list). If voice is a must then probably not for you. Keeps a history of your items so if something accidentally crossed off you can put it straight back.
I hate complicated app and this is definitely a winner. It's an Easy simplified electronic shopping-list app that replace paper and safe the planet (the least but at least something rather than nothing). You make your list, group into color label of your choice, once done, cross out. Not much time spending on app trying to figure out tons of tricks. Thanks to this app developer(s), making a bucket full of list is a breeze.
Only displays a few of the items in the list at any one time, on the left of the screen with large gaps between. When shopping I need to see the entire list, not a largely blank screen. If each of the words in this review had been an item in the shopping list it would be spread over 5 screen fulls!
I have come to depend on this amazing app. It's so convenient having it right on my phone. No more paper lists to lose or forget. It even allows me to share in real time my lists with other family members. Now if the hubby stops at the store he can see what we need at home without having to call home. I highly recommend this app you won't regret using it.
Marginal. If you share your lists with iOS you'll feel cheated. The Android and the iOS versions of BMAP are totally different apps. Android is a wisp of the iPhone version. The Android version is not much more than a stripped down text editor. There are some nice features, but the glaring differences between platforms makes them hard to remember. Needs a way to change the order of items and maybe an organize by time feature to learn the layout of an individual's regular shopping market.
I have always used Memo or email for my to do and groceries list. Now I have an app that allows easy updates to the list without forwarding my email or creating new Memos. One can easily change lists, mark items as complete (which cannot be done with the others) or add items back. A friend uses it to get updates to his lists from his wife, bringing even Honey Do lists into the future.
We love Buy Me a Pie! Love having all our lists in one place with real time updates and notifications across all platforms. We use it for lots of lists: shopping lists, honey-do lists, wish lists, etc. Would give it 5 stars but entering and editing list items can be clunky and the way the quanities are listed is limiting and confusing.
Love this app! Allows me and my family to have a shopping list that we all share. Plus the color coding is useful when planning the shopping trip. I use blue for frozen items, green for produce, etc.
Useful, easy to use app. Items can be checked off list without being removed so that they can be added back later. App can be shared so family members can add items to lists and people can shop together. Items can be categorized according to where you find them in the store. App supports multiple lists. My wish list: 1) ability to transfer items between lists, 2) inactive list remains sorted by category
Easy to use/organize, and the support staff responds quickly when contacted. I love that you can type out the list on a PC and it automatically updates on the phone. It's the only app I feel comfortable leaving my trusted pen and paper for.
We have both the Android and iphone versions of this app and both have worked flawlessly, allowing my wife and I to coordinate our shopping requirements. Syncing between phones is almost instantaneous... if she thinks of something we need while I'm shopping, she just adds it to her list and boom, I get it on my phone. Love this app!
This app allows me to share a shopping list with my whole family and it gets updated real time, so it really saves time during shopping trips. Installation is easy and setting up is a breeze. Best of all, the free features are all that i need. 5 stars.
This app is absolutely great, not only for my own lists, but also to share lists among family members. I keep several lists, some per store, some per activity. The only issue which stops me from giving 5 stars is the Widget which doesn't scale properly: the top title list title line remains full size even if scaled to just a few lines. Please fix this, so the font is not to very big on the widget list title!
Not bad, one of my 2 favorite shopping list apps. The only issue i have so far is that as it seems, you can add an item in the aavailable items list but you cannot delete it. I have somehow manually added an item which contains a typo and now i see both it and the proper one. There is no way to maintain the list.
