I love the rShopping App! I have been using it for years and it is versatile in how I want to use it. I especially rely on the price compare feature. The picture capture for each item, with a zoom feature is great. I can create my own stores and add items to multiple stores, therefore, I"ve recently started using rShopping to keep a home inventory of the items I"ve bought. The developer is also responsive to email inquiries and have continued to make App improvements. Thank you!
Awesome app; I use it almost daily. ***SO*** simple to just mark something I need & have it be there when I go to make my shopping list for a trip to the store. One problem: why doesn't it support the barcode scanner built into Android 9? Suggestion: it'd be great for the prices to record the date they were entered (iirc HandyShopper did that). Allow that to be a sort option, and it'd be easy to go update prices on a periodic basis.
I'm gobsmacked! The wealth of options balanced by user friendly interfaces makes inputting items and their prices from grocery receipts a worthwhile endeavor. One question though: the coupon toggle is nice but how does it function? Currently im just putting the sale price in and making a note of how much i saved.
As a HandyShopper veteran I was very happy to find rShopping - thank you! It's my shopping list app of choice. In December I upgraded to v2.4.10, and I lost the ability to quickly scroll through a long list of items, and I don't see a way to enable that now-missing feature. I"m now at v2.4.11, and still don't see how to do this. I'd sent a "Contact Developer" email on 12-16-2018 but I have not received a response. How can this feature be re-enabled? Thanks.
I use this app litterly ALL THE TIME! I could Not get my shopping completed without it! Best Shopping App Anywhere! ... But if it were possible, Could you make the background a Blue color, or something softer, instead of the sharp burgandy that it is now? It was Easy to look at before, then you changed it to this Ugly, Sharp Burgandy! Please change it back to something more "Easy" on my Eyes. Otherwise, I still Love this program, (just can't stand the new color, Sorry)
I use the app a lot for grocery shopping. I toggle my items to "needed" when I get low on a item at home. I usually check the list when I am at the store, and it cuts down on the forgetting to buy something while I'm at the store. The developer also was responsive to an issue I had transferring my database to a new phone.
Have used this app for several years, and hasn't disappointed so far. Also use it to create To Do lists, camping and hiking prep. checklists, etc. Your imagination is the limit with this app...and it's much more convenient to check off and update than using a calendar app.
Easiest app for my brain to manage multiple store common item lists, easy to add new or exception items. Easy to back up the stores lists config in case you need to reinstall on a fixed or new phone. Sometimes porting apps don't, so this is a nice backfall.
I have been using Handy Shopper/rShopper since the days of the Palm Pilot. I have learned to use it in so many ways. Since I used it on the Palm Pilot (a personal data assistant), my main use was to use it as a database, creating a list for almost anything. I also use it for it's advertised purpose. That is I do keep my Costco shopping list there. Need I say more.
Great shopping list app. Very stable and feature rich. I would like a 3rd status such as "Hold" or "Enquiry" for items not needed right now but which I don't want to discard. I would also like to see if a list has items or is empty from the home/list screen. Thanks
The feature list has grown over the years. Great functionality: backup, per-store prices. No ads. Dark theme. The checkout process could be improved with batch removal and a history record.
The app is mostly perfect. Highly customizable in comparison to most other apps. Unfortunately, the "shop with" sharing functionality didn't work out for us when we needed it most. :(
Out of all the shopping apps around, this one pretty much beats them all. It has all the features I need and then some. Best of all, it's free with no ads. It's a well thought through app, that focuses on the experience and doesn't get in the way.
I just found this shopping list and I like it very much. Switching from "ToMarket" now since the programmer seems to have abandoned it. Personally I prefer the sqlite database over csv, although a csv im-/export would be nice. But with some basic scripting skills you can do that by yourself. The only feature I'm missing is a "proper" history function. It could be done in an additional table and at checkout the price, date and shop will be added to this table. If you are concerned about a growing database size, you could make it configurable for how long the history will be kept. Is that maybe something on your ToDo list?
Love this list The only thing missing is the ability to import existing data from a csv file. Our household has a food allergy and I keep a list of products that are corn-free (which are extremely hard to find) that I would love to be able to import rather than enter manually. Would give 5 stars if it has this ability.
The ability to sort multiple ways makes this App almost perfect. Select items alphabetically then sort by aisle for shopping. You can even edit an item while shopping if the store has changed the aisle the item is on. Wish this App could sort by label.
Best of them all. Sorting, prices, ability to keep a reusable list. For some reason this is the only app with these features that has a respect for data use and privacy.
I absolutely love this app!! I have been using an older version for years, now I have the updated version. It really helps you stick to a budget while shopping at the market or other stores!
Great app. Had a problem and notified the developer. He responded very quickly. I had accidentally hit the "Hide Tabs" menu item and didn't know it. Nothing at all wrong with the app.
I really wanted this app to work, but the lack of csv file import /export is a deal breaker for me . Having nearly 2000 existing items in my current shopping app, I certainly don't want to have to enter them manually!
Very stabil. I tried a few other shopping apps and this one is by far the best. Very useful and if you have an imagination, it is much more than just a shopping list.
This is the best shopping app IMHO, but also perfect for GTD. For GTD use stores as contexts and labels as projects. Works great. On the shopping side, you can label recipes and then instantly pull up all the ingredients when it's time to shop. I was a handyshopper enthusiast when PalmOS was around. Thanks for an amazing app.
When I go grocery shopping, this is my go-to app. From entering the front door to exiting at the checkout, the entire store is layed out for (and by) me. I can efficiently aisle by aisle shop for what I have on my list and go on to other tasks.
Latest version works well. Have been using app for years till I had problem with it. Developer was very responsive and solved my problem with this new version!
Just getting to use it after the one I was using for 3 years is now only supported for USA & Canada.I would have given 5 star if the shopping screen stayed awake when shopping as my previous one did. This makes shopping much easier.
I love this shopping app. It does almost everything I want. It would be great if it could auto sort when new items are added.
I have been a user of this app for years. I finally got my wife to try it out and she is looking it also. Bring able to sync our shopping list between multiple devices has been a game changer for us. She now can add things to the list and just remind me to stop at the store one the way home. No more texting me a list, it's just it the app. Bring able to assign aisles to an item saved me tons of time. Great app.
