This app has a lot of negative reviews as it doesn't store data or create a growth chart. These negative reviews are unfair as the description clearly states "Calculate one-off growth centiles for children using UK-WHO data from the RCPCH." As a health visitor I use this app to calculate ONE OFF growth centiles before plotting it in the "red book" or documenting it in the patient record. It's especially good if there are any concerns about infant growth as it gives the centiles range and the exact centile, so small changes can be seen. It also gives the age in days and gestational age. It could be improved by the addition of the age in weeks too.
reliable app. I use it regularly in an outpatient setting.
Practical and easy to use. It would be nice if it can produce charts.
Edit after 2 years: Still defunct as it was before with no ability to plot or save data. Can't believe its still the only UK chart based app on Play Store. I am a doctor as well as a parent. I don't see the point of this app. Its not a growth 'chart' at all. You can't plot any trend as you do on an actual growth chart. You can't save any data for your child. All you get is a single figure which means nothing on its own. Other apps give you a trend and create a plot/graph but unfortunately none are based on the UK growth chart.
Not user friendly and can't plot growth so not at all useful
Can't select date of birth.
I wanted an app that can be used in clinics for a quick assessment on child's growth and this app does the job well. I also didn't wanted to use an app which asks to save data of before getting on to the percentile calculation. Definitely not suitable for parents but quick and easy to use in clinics.
No feature to save trends for your own child. Only gives one set of % for a input
Finally an app that's based on UK growth charts. This will be very useful for us health professionals. Thank you!
This app does as describes, taking a set of measurements (weight, height, head circumference) and then plotting that against the WHO growth curves to indicate a centile value. I can imagine this is very useful for health visitors, allowing them to quickly and accurately determine the values. However as a parent I want to chart this over time, and this app doesn't appear to do that.
Basic app that does what it says. Inputting numbers could be via number pad rather than standard keyboard and BMI calculation/percentile would be useful, too.
This is an app I use a lot as a Paediatrician - very useful in a busy environment
Ped z is million times better.
Please add pounds and inches
Very handy in clinics! Any chance of: - BMI/centiles & - Mid parental centiles?
We would like a chart with all growth parameters and their centiles not a snap shot.
Reliable but with some problems. The app is very reliable and easy to use but it has a lot of shortcomings. Basically the fact that it does not show the measurements on a chart and that it does not allow you to store multiple measurements of multiple patients. It also seems like the development has stopped since it was last updated in 2017.
