GS-911wifi
What does the app do? The GS-911wifi app is a Android utility that searches for any GS-911wifi diagnostic interfaces on your wifi network. It lists all GS-911wifi interfaces, showing their IP address and Serial number, allowing you to click on a specific interface to select it. Selecting a device will launch the default browser to the selected IP address.
What does a HEX GS-911wifi diagnostic interface do? It is a Diagnostic Tool for BMW motorcycles. The GS-911wifi has USB and wifi connectivity, allowing you to “browse” your BMW motorcycle's Electronic Control Units (ECU).
It connects to a BMW motorcycle's diagnostic connector allowing you dealer level diagnostic functionality. This functionality is dependent on model and complexity but includes:
* Reading of ECU information (Software versions, part numbers etc.)
* Reading and Clearing of Fault Codes for every ECU
* Reading of LIVE sensor input/output data
* Resetting of Service reminders
* Functional output tests
* Advanced diagnostic functions (ECU specific, but include calibrations, adaptation resets, ABS bleed tests, etc.)
The GS-911wifi is compatible with all BMW motorcycles that have the round 10pin diagnostic connector, including the new generation chassis such as the K1600GT/GTL and R1200GS LC wethead. It is also backward compatible to the previous generation of BMW motorcycles, including the Husquvarna range of Nuda 900 and Nuda 900 R motorcycles that were developed in the time that BMW Motorrad owned Husqvarna motorcycles.--gs911wifi gs-911 wifi

I selected R1200RS from the list and tried to reset the service reminder. The app gave an error message that seemed to indicate that the selection did not match the bike (a 2016 BMW R1200RS). Tried it twice with same result. Luckily I was able reset the reminder successfully using the Windows PC software for the GS911wifi.
Updates have bricked my device . Even in emergency mode, it acknowledges the connection, but fails to recognize the devise
This app is not intuitive or easy to setup and use.

The best
Works great. Separate from the internal web server on the GS-911 itself. This app is only used to locate your device on the network. After that, any issues seem to be all related to the device and its internal software.
A must have if you ride BMW! Reset your own service indicator, troubleshooting codes, etc depending on the model you get. Great job hexcode!

I live miles away from my nearest BMW dealer. The GS911 has made my life so much easier to do all of the service work on my 1200rt myself. It is so easy to use the app.
Tool works wonderfully with basic networking knowledge. Can connect it to shop WiFi or mobile Hotspot if you're on the move. Some functionality requires an Internet connection, so keep that in mind. Nexus 6, running Android 7.0
It works. Remember, no service functions in d2d mode, but you can read all statuses and log a lot of information in real time

Is there a beta program or waiting list I could join?
Slow and clunky software that looses connection every time I turn on the ignition to the bike. I'm having to use the USB interface on a windows 10 laptop to do anything (It works well on that) as the Android App does not work well at all on my Galaxy S7 Phone. In its current form it is useless. Improvements are needed. I have yet to try it on my Samsung Tab 2

A extremely useful tool to have when working on your pride and joy! From basic service settings, to cancel that annoying service indicator, reading individual sensor data & aiding with intricate diagnosis, resetting adaption values, reprogramming of RDC sensors and lots more. I love it and it is worth every penny! I use it in a workshop environment and have to admit that the GS911 WiFi works better then the official diagnostic system especially on the older models. A MUST FOR ADVENTURE TOURING!
