GTA: Chinatown Wars

Great port of a great game. The touch mechanics from the DS original carried over well to mobiles. I just have a request though. Is it possible for the game to stretch over the entirety of the screen, to fill out the entire area parallel to the notch? Not a biggie, but still, got to make good use of that screen real estate. Overall, this is great. That was 4 bucks well spent.

Really great. I got all of the mobile rockstar games and I am pleased with all of them. I use an xbox controller which is much better than touch controls but if you are going to use them then you may encounter an issue where if you are walking left with the stick and then it goes right it probably is because the games does not fit your entire screen. To fix this you can find a way to change it so it does fit your screen in settings. I'm using an a20e and it should be in settings somewhere.

A real good game but such a pain to play on mobile, even with a game controller. Driving is annoying as the roads are very slim, shooting too isnt great. Trying to break into cars and other events brings a small pop up box to roleplay hotwiring the car etc, which is not the best as its hard to touch something so small on the screen. The graphics, story etc is great but the controls ruin it.

I love it, took me sometime to purchase this one considering I never tried it before. Rockstar games did an amazing job on this game. The graphics look great with the kind of presentation it brings. It's no third person camera but it is great with the controls as it brings back memories of the old days of gta. The aiming is perfect as you can move and shoot the enemy with one easy button while dodging their shots. All in all, it brings a new gta gameplay story to my table.

It's a cool and fun game and also an excellent port! But the 3/5 stars is because of the walking system of the game. It has a joystick, but still behaves like arrow keys, so walking in the game is really hard and it's a main thing of the game for some very important missions. I suggest either a way to make the character unlocked (so no more arrow-like movement) or arrow joystick with up, down, left and right.

I finally achieved the 100% completion of the game. The storyline overall was okay, though I do not find any improvement whatsoever when it comes to it. It is still your typical revenge-type action game. The controls are okay and the gameplay was so dynamic. The cutscenes are also the highlight of the game. The comic book-like character designs are pleasing to watch.

Gameplay is really fun for the most part it's very innovative and takes the player through missions without hand holding but more or less gameplay tutorials on how to hotwire a car, create Molotovs, Tattoo, Scratch lottery tickets and more. I feel as though with the touch controls it's very subjective, I usually play on Consoles so I haven't quite adapted to hand held games especially touch controls in a long time. Awesome game and as good as I remember it and missions don't Drag on aha.

The driving controls are such utter trash, that it makes the game pretty much unplayable. When walking you can just use your finger for directions, but when driving you have these two "buttons" that give absolutely terrible control. Shameful, especially because it is a good game, but these driving mechanics are complete trash.

I've played this game on PSP and love it so much, I also really like the Android version but it needs to be updated for the newer phones with different aspect ratios. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and this is an issue for me because if I turn the full screen option off, there's a part of the screen that I cannot touch otherwise it'll revert back to full screen. Please update this game.

People complaining about the mini games just honestly dont get the game. This game was built from the ground up for the Nintendo DS. Its touch screen aspects translate perfectly to mobile. The "hustling" mini game is super addicting and one of the fastest ways to get cash in the game. the graphics are beautiful and it makes driving through the surprisingly large Liberty City even more enjoyable. soundtrack is awesome too even though there are no vocals. only downfall, no ChatterboxFM :(

Everything is good i just wish you could adjust the sensitivity for when you are walking and driving. I also wish you could turn off the lane assist or something like that where the car doesnt go a different way to straighten up in the lane. The controls are why i gave it 3 stars, the game is to sensitive. Everything else is good.

A great little game for mobile. Crisp graphics bought together with GTA 4's wonderful map makes a great experience all round. My one issue is that unless you really want to have top down graphics, or want to play the game because you haven't played it before, it isn't as good as GTA III, GTA VC or GTA SA, all of which are available for mobile for the same amount of money.

Out of all the ports for mobile that Rockstar has released, this one fuctions and looks the best, mostly do to the fact that Chinatown Wars was native for the PSP. All other gta ports are just not worth the price, especially when you can emulate them, not just for better performance, but also for free. Not only that but there are several (all be it sketchy) websites where you can download the APK files for the android ports. All that aside, this game is good enough for passing the time.

Not as easy to control as it was on psp/nds and crashes frequently so saving after every mission is critical. Played better after altering the default controls layout but wouldn't save the way I configured them and had to reset it the way I wanted it upon starting the game up again :"( Now the real question at hand is will you release L.A Noire and State of Emergency on android, both epic titles and need adding to your selection of games for us to buy and enjoy again.

(2.5 stars) please fix all the GTA games for Android phones on Google play, my A21 is fully up to date with it's software and everthin else, so the games are good but It's the control issues, it's very touchy feely, hard to manuaver at high speeds, or any speeds. GTA 3, GTA liberty city stories, All GTA games need more smooth controlling, can't even use the keypad up or down, side to sides as a alternative controller... Please fix in all GTA mobile games for Android

The game is not operational, i can't open it. When i open the game, it automatically closes, i have opened it multiple times and got the same result. I use Samsung a52s mobile it showed a notification which goes like "this game has a bug and can not be opened please contact the developer for this issue" and i can't find any option to get a refund. According to play store the last update was in 2019. Kindly look into this issue.

Very good game, and a decent port. Touch controls don't work perfectly, especially on foot. This isn't much of an issue unless you are going for 100% completion, some activites require more precision than touch controls allow for and are nearly impossible to complete because of it.

Awesome to pick up and play wherever and super entertaining when you follow along with the story. Minor graphical bugs when playing on a widescreen device but easy to overlook. The only thing I'd recommend is an option for 60fps or more because although 30fps is a great battery saver for long trips I'd like to play it smoother.

A really good game! It has an engaging story-line and an amazing open-world. The only problem are the graphics in this game. None existing shadows and lighting effects, low resolution textures, visible low-poly models on large screens. Hopefully, an improvement could be made!

Game doesn't open in my phone anymore. Purchased it long ago and haven't played it for about a year. Trying again and doesn't get passed the first black screen with writing. Game is great and have loved every second of it but gets one start until this gets fixed.

Just as good as the ds version. In case people are wondering why the screen doesnt full touch the sides of the screen is so it can stay in it's original aspect ratio and so people with skinny phones dont push the edges of the screen and accidantly push random spots on the screen

I never readed the reviews which I should have before purchasing this. This game is unplayable on the Pixel 6. I purchased this game less than a week ago and cannot get passed the loading screen which is 2 seconds after you click the app...that's when the app/game crashes. I tried reaching out to the developer and they didnt respond. I tried to reach out to Google and they refuse to give me a refund. Currently this game is just a cash grab, especially since it needs an update and hasnt in years

Great game still in 2020! If you're looking for that edgy dialogue, great graphics for a phone game, great shooter and a fantastic game plot this is for you. The controls take getting used to. I adjusted them in-game. I loved the story and the gameplay is phenomenal. Graphics are so good compared to when I played on Nintendo DS. Night time looks amazing. If you're bored in 2020 and want a challenge/spend the money this game is for you!
