GTA: Liberty City Stories

Nostalgic. Just pure nostalgic. Vehicle handling is pretty bad, but I haven't really played this on the console in a while, so I don't have much to compare it too. I'm just blowing it off as it being a part of the challenge in older games. Super easy to play on the phone and the controller compatibility makes it seem like you're about it on the old console again (if you're using a PlayStation controller). Minimal to no bugs, I've only gotten stuck twice between things and had to restart twice.

I like it! Nice, open world gaming. Cool story, classic graphics. It costs a little bit of money, but it's worth it. However, if the developers can look at the radio? The Mix Tape looks like it requires Google Play Music. Unfortunately, Google Play Music is no longer available, but it lives on in YouTube Music.

I tried opening the game but as soon as I did maybe half a second into the loading screen it just shuts down automatically. Tried reinstalling it but no change the issue was still there. Great game really unfortunate that it isn't working, was really looking forward to some good old skool nostalgia.. Guess it'll just be a great memory 🥲

Great game I first played it on psp back in 2007. I actually prefer this version because certain things such as sniping (hated sniping on the psp version) are far easier with the touchscreen. There are a lot of sound issues though, but all you have to do is minimize the window and then go back into the game, this usually sorts them out. Also, when you install it make sure your power save setting is off, or it might not install. Try the flick steering control, it's far easier on the hands.

It's a GTA game, so the core gameplay is as fun as ever. But this game in particular has some really bad physics. On foot, your character will frequently "fall" several dozen meters in the forward direction, dealing damage to you. In a vehicle, you will constantly spin out after touching something as miniscule as a boardwalk. This is particularly noticeable during the races, most of which are god-awful. It feels like the game has artificially decreased the mass of the player character, as any collision - no matter how small - will affect you but not the other guy. I've played every other game in the GTA3-era and none felt as bad as this. On the plus side, the Android version of LCS finally includes the mix-tape mode, a way of playing your own music in the radio using the Google Play Music App. Which unfortunately is now defunct and replaced by the (incompatible) YouTube Music App, but not Rockstar's fault. At least you can play the game as a giant chicken.

The first chapter of the game runs great! I've finnished all possible activities on the first island. However while trying to finish the mission "Driving Mr.Leone" I can't go to Staunton, the game tries to load it but in the end it always crashes. Edit: After further testing i have concluded that the game is having a hard time loading in between islands (at least the very first time). After changing the game's setting to max before hitting the island change trigger I've managed to get there.

I attempted to run this after installing and it wouldn't start up. Just half a second of the loading screen and it shuts down. I just had the same issue with San Andreas, idk if it's my phone, but another review mentioned the same problem. Just a heads up, may be other gta titles, but I currently have 3 on my phone and it runs fine, so I can recommend that one

i liked this game. it was fun and i have to admit, i have so far enjoyed the experience of this game. But there is one issue. i am on a mission where i have to drive Salvatore to Callahan Bridge and after driving passed it, it sends me into a loading screen and kept stopping at what i believe 95 percent and it had froze my phone. i had to shut down my phone. i have tried 3 times, but with no success, it has sent me the same loading screen. i would really appreciate it if you would fix it please.

GTA LCS is a good game with a good story, but on my copy I can't get past the mission "Driving Mr. Leone" because the game crashes if you pass Callahan bridge. Very disappointing, as I was heavily invested in the story, and I would have to restart the game fresh if I ever wanted to try again because the saves themselves are associated with the corrupted game files. Lame. UPDATE. Redownloaded, thought, maybe they fixed it. Nope, now it won't start. Cool.

In terms of graphics and framerate, it's an inprovement over the PSP original. Best played with a controller, though, because unlike the earlier ports, the camera doesn't stay behind you most of the time and trying to swipe the camera to face the right direction when trying to fight off hordes of enemies isn't ideal.

As a desktop PC gamer, I've anxiously awaited ANY port of LCS and VCS (especially VCS). So this was a must-buy for me. On the S9, the controls are crowded, clunky, and I find it difficult to move and look simultaneously. But THE GAME IS THERE! It's not another emulation with chopped performance! It's silky smooth, true to the original PS2 port. Definitely buying a BT gamepad for this, maybe even buying another copy to play in Bluestacks. SO EXCITED!

The controls of this game are absolutely garbage, especially the left button that you get while driving. The button takes quite a while to register the touch, which makes it really difficult to control the car, thereby causing collisions. This in turn simply ruins the overall gaming experience. Lucid Games has done a terrible job of porting it to mobile devices. In other words, not worth it.

it need more optimization, my frame rate drop [ Lag screen ] when I'm in grass or close to trees, the controls is good [ you can edit hud ] but it's hard to move character character, I die everytime cause I can't aim. The graphics are good the sound effects are better than san Andreas, please make the graphics a little more Glossy, it's looks unglazed. Thank you I hope devs for the best. Edit: can't go to 2nd map. stuck in a loading screen.

The visuals are actually really good. It runs at a smooth frame rate too, only issue I had with it is that it just stopped starting. The loading screen would flash and then the app would close. I got to the 3rd island of the game when this happened to me so it hurt pretty bad😂 I legit went out and bought a psp and a digital copy of the lcs and I'm currently playing it on there. I have a Samsung s20+ btw for reference

Couldn't even play the game.. I feel like I just got scammed cause I paid just to play this. When the game starts up, it's just crashing every single time. Even tried finding tutorials on how I could fix this but none of them helped. Plus, the last update on this game was only from 2019! Please just fix this, it should be worth the money I paid just for the game.

New review : so I finally managed to download it. However it just won't launch. It just crashes literally 2 seconds after clicking on the app. What do I have to do get my money refunded. I'm really unsatisfied. Old review : It downloads half the game and then stops. It can't be a storage issue cause there's plenty of internal storage nor can it the WiFi cause I've tried downloading it over 3 times and every time I face the same issue. It just stops and asks me to instal it again and again. Please help cause I'm really keen on playing what I paying for.

I remember playing this on PSP when it first came out, and the experience playing again now on mobile is very close! My only complaint is that there is no way to remap the control buttons on a controller in the base game and some actions were not available while using the controller. It would be a solid 5 otherwise.

Game runs great on my OnePlus Nord N100. Graphics are bad in some areas compared to the PSP & PS2 version but still not an issue for me since being able to play this game portabally was my main reason. One of my favorite thing about this port is the cloud saving functionality that allows your save to be backuped in case your local one is lost. One issue I had is that sometimes your character will fling and shoot forward while trotting down aa slope-like area and causes some damage.

Pretty disappointed that I couldn't get the game to load. Not like I have an ancient phone either as it's a Note10+ with an 8 core processor, ¼TB of storage and 12GB of ram, way more than it needs. I am relieved there was an immediate refund option though. I really wanted to play it, I'll definitely try again when they get the kinks worked out! Cheers!

This is exactly as you remember LCS but with the worst controls ever. It is nearly impossible to drive and a lot of the early missions are done in vehicles. Long story short don't waste your money. I wish I could get a refund. Oh also the game constantly crashes so you have to re-open the app every 10 minutes.

So so good - Cleaned up the graphic, y'all fixed the controls and bugs. The GTA series on mobile used to be finicky, I'd have problems locking onto people, lag in certain areas especially if a big fight breaks out; which all that's been fixed! This is sick! Literally, now about the same accuracy with controls as using a Gameboy - every finger tap on the touchscreen now registers. Graphics, I know Ive already commented on them, but they really smoothed up the looks. Can't wait to play more!

Solid game. yeah sure a bit dated compared to console games but great on tablet or mobile. Got myself a cheap Bluetooth controller and it works fine. If you want to do custom soundtracks don't forget to go into settings on your device go into the app then go into permissions and give access to storage. then set your playlist up in Google music and name it GTALCS and make sure you open Google Music app before you start playing. Hope this helps!

Good game but takes loads of patience. Controls are terrible and lag is annoying. When police or other cars are chasing they smash into the sides and spin you in circles and because of the lag it's near impossible to get away. Overall the game is good but be ready to be really frustrated a lot of the time.

The game hasn't seen a meaningful update sense 2019, it's now 2022. Doesn't run on new versions of Android 10 and up, game crashes before it starts. Don't count on this being updated anymore. And don't buy it because it won't work on newer versions of Android. Same thing with GTA SA and I think GTA 3. Oh but GTA Chinatown wars works well! That's a Good game.

Was working fine previously but now it keeps crashing every time I open it on Samsung S22 Ultra. Tried the options to fix that Rockstar suggested but unfortunately the problem remains. Quite frustrating as this is a paid game and Google won't refund either as it has been a long time since I purchased. Hopefully Rockstar will sort this out otherwise I won't be purchasing from them again.
