Good day, Ever since I updated to this version, I have never been able to use the app effectively. Some menus and submenus are not working. For example, the "Airtime & Data" menu will never give you any feedback when you select it, likewise the transfer to GTBank and transfer to other banks. They're not working at all. I had to revert to the old version. The developer should kindly check this and other problems with the app and rectify them.
Good apps from as much as 5 years that I've been using it. Recently, I've found it difficult to send receipt of transactions (transfers, payments etc) to the beneficiaries through WhatsApp. I always get a message that the file I'm sending is not supported. This is strange to me as I've not been encountering this challenge before now. Pls, look into this complaints. Thank you
It went from bad to worst! The app practically depends on you having a bank card for it to function properly. GTB is the only bank that's so backward with such idea. I wondered how they managed to break into UK market. Once you change your phone, you are back to step 0. Very bad user experience! I should be able to change my phone without any glitch. Please learn from other apps! I'm a software developer, I know what I'm talking about!
It has been working perfectly fine on my previous phones, but ever since I changed my phone and downloaded the app, I haven't been able to log in. In the process of authorizing the new device and create new pin, I always get a response of either "unable to process at the moment" or "email and phone number not linked to the account", for the past one week. Even several emails and help center haven't yield any result. That's a poor one from the developer and the bank.
Your app is nice but no upgrade since last year, you cant search for a particilar saved beneficiary during transfer, you cant even search for bank by typing the first initials, you have to scroll down ; e:g i want to send to Zenith i have to scroll down to z. You cant even generate a reciept again, after u have left that page. Pls we are expecting an upgrade.
This app used to be great. The last update changed everything. Now I can't use my transaction Pin, it's always saying invalid password even though it is correct. I have been using fingerprint for transactions. It's so disappointing and transactions history is limited to last 10 transactions. You cannot see older ones. 😥
No one has responded to my last complaint so here I am again. Fix your app to the way it was when one could access multiple accounts via the app as long as you had a token for the unlinked account. Now stopping one from using the app because account isn't linked to the phone is ridiculous especially since it is only one account that can be linked.
Cool at first but I'm having issues now.I can only make transfers to accounts that I had previously saved as beneficiaries. When I try to make a transfer to a new account, to another bank, it doesn't go through. It's just dormant and doesn't refer me to the next page. And I thought it was only temporary.This has ensued for months and it's sincerely inconveniencing. It should be looked into. Even the fingerprint security doesn't log in. It'll load for centuries. I hope you correct these issues
Great interface. Good functionality. Edit: I'm dropping one star, because one can't search for banks when making transfer which is a serious drawback. You have to scroll all thru the list. The developers should look into it. Also Ads are also becoming annoying.
Great app untill it started frustrating me, I was to transfer to a KC gaming network when it got to the place where I should input the user id and amount, which I did but a message came up saying "invalid details inputted" I have uninstalled and installed several times it keeps giving that. Pls look into this issue. Thanks
It would really be nice, if you do a video detailing how to use the app and explain each button/query field. Despite being a tech person, I was really confused & frustrated trying to figure my way around this app. Remember this app is not for you but for your customers. It makes no sense making an app, people can't intuitively use - a "question mark/help" button beside each button/query field would really help. THIS APP NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
The App was working perfectly, but recently I can no longer transfer to new account that I have not saved. When I click on "New Account" to transfer it will load to Setting limit page. This is really frustrating, am not enjoying the App again at all, currently using other banks App for transfer because most of my transaction is cashless.
This your app is frustrating. Like it has its own mood swings. I can't view extended transaction history which is one of the whole points of having a mobile app. Now to even loginto the app is another wahala. I thought it needed another update but no...it just won't open. Since yesterday.
Terrible! This is not the first time I'm using the Gtbank app. However, the problem still persists. Everytime I try to sign up, I'm told a mail is sent to my email address, but the mail NEVER shows up. Not in my inbox or even my spam (and I'm positive it's the email address I registered with the bank) Asides that, after a while the app starts telling me that the OTP is invalid. How??! I literally copied and pasted the one sent by GTB themselves! Please fix this app. It's quite frustrating.
Kindly work on this app. Using up too much space. The size is kind of large. Very slow and it hangs most of the time. Other banks' are very easy to use. To copy and paste is a problem, even navigation is so slow and lax. I expect better from GTB. Thanks
This app is really frustrating. I am unable to make a transfer to a beneficiary. It shows beneficiary doesnt exist when I try making payment and beneficiary already exist when I try to add the recipient. I have uninstalled it several times and even cleared the cache but still not resolved. I tried entering the account number but it shows it already exist but won't allow me send to it.
ello, As regard your mobile app, the feature that gives the option to HIDE/VIEW account balance should be added to the next update. It is very important. I have this feature on my other bank apps and it's really cool. Again, one should be able to go back into months on the transaction history from the app, without having to go download statement every time to check previous transactions. Great app though, it works seamlessly👍
Great app that helps you achieve lots of banking goals. The only problem is that, attimes the app doesn't open up once you type in your password or put your fingerprint. A restart doesn't help either. It's almost like the app picks the time it wishes to work🙂. A friend who uses an iPhone also complained about this recently. It never used to be like this when I started using the app. Probably an incompatible feature with newer Android and iOS OSes?
I downloaded the app, fixed in my details at first, and everythinh was fine. I later flashed my phone, redownloaded the app, tried to fix in my details, but to no avail, i got blocked once, i went to the bank and complained and all, till now, the app can't still recognize my phone. I don't understand this stress. I'm just so tired of the whole thing. I never expected this from GT Bank. What is wrong? It was still same information i fixed last time i fixed this time. I can't even give a star.
GTB app is the best. Very user friendly. It has made my life very easy. I can use it anywhere, anytime and all over the world. I am very happy to be connected. But pls, for own transfer, include reason for transfer so we can remember what the transactions were for.
This app is so frustrating. You have to go through so much trouble to send your account statement; which may not work. Getting a reciept of translation is also a hassle. Everything is frustrating on this App
I keep getting Application Error, the connection to the server was unsuccessful when i launch the app. I have uninstalled the app and install again, still the same thing. This is frustrating as this dosen't occur before not until your recent deployment. I have tried again, it is still the same thing. It ain't working at all. Please help my life!!!
Something is wrong with app, I can no longer access my transaction history. I felt it was because it's outdated but on getting to play store, I saw there's has been no updates there since 2020. I uninstalled and reinstalled it still the same issue. Is this app now defunct and we should all switch to GTworld or it was you people that decided to remove the transaction history for reasons best known to you?
Both gtworld and gtbank apps are scraps, nowhere to input full details, i don't know the kind of sign up page you have that's not user friendly, in as much as i'll like to use any of the apps i think i'll stick to 737. You need to improve on both apps especially in the area of login in, Log in page is complicated and confusing, I'm uninstalling ur apps NOW!
Great application and easy to navigate and keeps upgrading for a better experience. But just yesterday, looked like there was an upgrade, and since then, transfer to other banks and gtb accounts have mot been 'clicking' on my tab. No matter how much I tried, it just wouldnt click so had to go to web for my transactions.
I'm highly disappointed with Gtb. I didn't get any notification to update my app. I was in the middle of a transaction and all of a sudden, my app started showing expired version. I can't even find the update on Google Play Store. I downloaded Gtworld but I can not use it because I have an expired ATM card and I'm not in the country. This is really a mess up.
Used to be good. Now it's completely buggy. The UI keeps twitching. You input your password and it doesn't load (Not a network problem as I also use other apps). A lot of issues with saving beneficiaries. Overall poor performance. Please fix. Update: This is becoming ridiculous. Is there anything being done about this app? I can't access the app even with a very good network. It doesn't leave the password request screen.
