GTE Mobile

After rotating to take a picture for mobile deposits, the app never rotates back. I have to completely exit the app and come back in, in order for the screen rotation to be picked. Mobile deposit image taking works fine as long as the check is on a high contrast background like a black folder. Just wish it would rotate back to complete filling out the page information without having to close and restart it each time.

Update Nov. 2020 Still horrible for deposits! This one's even worse than the old app. it used to only give me trouble doing the back of the larger checks with the old app. Now with the new app I can barely get a small check to go through. Photographing the back is the problem for some reason. I'm a photographer so I try it all kinds of ways. Do something about this!! this app has so many bugs takes me 15-20 minutes to get a deposit in even if I can get it to work at all

The app mostly worked but as the new version rolls out features like bill pay have stopped working. The new version only works with Android 10 so most phones won't be able to use the app soon. Most projects fail in the requirements definition phase and this is a prime example. Let's let the developer alienate 60% of our customers with Android phones so that the app can have a dark theme.

this app is absolutely useless. I just spent 30 minutes trying to deposit 2 checks. I restarted my phone, I restarted the app, doesn't matter. gives an error message about the image that says it's not cropped properly, and then it keep snapping more pictures. You have to exit out of the app completely and then sign in again. It used to work, now it's worthless.

This sucks. I've tried to use this damned camera deposit feature and it won't for the love of God capture the back of the check it always says "too dark, not framed right, then it finally captures it and I change the brightness to make it easier to see the info on the back, then boots me out, and starts me all over. Then crashes in the middle of me taking a picture for the 100th time. Chase atleast did that right and almost made their $12 service fee worth it.

Mobile deposit is a joke. Always get an error message when taking pictures of the back of the check. After taking 37 pictures, it then says it will be held for review because "It couldn't see the signature on the back of the check." Most recent update has ruined this feature. Never had this issue before the update took effect.

Been using this app for at least a year. Last two months I haven't been able to deposit checks online. Uninstalled and reinstalled app still unable to deposit checks. Called GTE last month, they acknowledged the app wasn't working but unsure when it will be corrected. What's the use in having a mobile banking app that doesn't work. Fix the problem GTE!!!!!!

Can't log in after latest update. The app is good for checking balances only. Very basic compared to other bank apps. A week later I still can't log in. App is stuck at the terms of use screen. I click accept and the app just spins for hours. UPDATE: Two weeks later and still cannot log in. Can't get past the terms of use screen. No response from developer. Loosing confidence in GTE financial. 13 Sep UPDATE: another two weeks have passed and still can't access my account through the app.

Normally I love this app, but PLEASE fix the deposit feature. I can only take a picture of the front of the check and never the back. Always get a processing error. During this time where staying home is encouraged, this feature is much needed. Please fix this!

Usually never have much of a problem with this app but for some reason, after it finds a stable connection I get an error message and there's no way to login. I checked for any updates but none are available for download. No older windows are up on my phone either.

I see alot of negative reviews , not sure if I am lucky or what. I have been using app for years with no trouble. Samsung Note 9,8,7 edge 7 and Note5 all have worked fine. I deposit checks once in awhile with no trouble . My only wishes is that they would put the cards app and features into this main app. Love the quick look balance thing.

Fine to check your balance but if you need to deposit a check, clear 30 minutes from your schedule. You have to take anywhere from 5-17 photos of each side of the check despite perfect lighting, alignment, barometric pressure and Moon phase. Please fix this.

Sorry to tell you folks the deposit aspect of this app hasn't worked at all for years. Be careful...... one time it told me the check went through and then the location didn't accept it. I had checks bouncing all over the place. App is only good for checking balances.

I was disappointed with the access to my account transactions. You can see each transaction amount but you're unable to look any further into it. it should give you an option to dispute a charge. Also be able to see your current balance after each transaction.

I am unable to compete mobile deposits with this app. I called in for technical assistance and was told to uninstall/reinstall the app. When that didn't work the rep was unable to help me any further. It's anyone else having trouble with this? I no longer live in Florida so this is my only way of depositing my payments as an independent contractor in a timely manner.

Useless app i keep getting same error message to try again or call their number did the basics turn the phone off restarted it uninstalled the app installed it same results and before this I didn't have a problem with the app it worked fine it doesn't let me update the app now it's time to call hopefully find a solution to this problem

I want to get an alert for every transaction. GTE said the app could do that. It can't. It also can't deposit, because it wouldn't scan the back image. Thankfully. GTE Deposit2Go works for that.

Please fix your mobile deposit. The whole point of having the app is for convenience and this is just extremely frustrating. Mobile deposit doesnt work and it seems like this has been going on for months now, which is frankly hard to believe they havent invested any time to fix it.

It will do the job but can be so.much better. Tim to give this app some more features and freshen it up. Behind many other banking apps. Fingerprint login for andriod is overdue. Payment app could be better. Able to clear Bill's which are due.

Cant deposit it checks half the time due to app never accepting a photo of the back of the check. The times I do get it to work require 100 tries. I contacted GTE they suggest deleting and reinstalling the app... lol. I had them open a ticket for the issue... probably wont help though

When I open the app it says there is a newer version and I have to update. I click on upgrade and it takes me to the store and the app hasn't been updated in months. There's nothing to update. Now it's just a ridiculous circle.

the app never wants to open on my phone. then itll get stuck in an "upgrade" needed, when there isnt one available. even if you uninstall, and re install, it still says there is an upgrade

Had to uninstall again. Worst banking app. The GTE card one doesn't even show you a balance or a pay option. They need new management desperately. This bank could be so good. Short sited leadership. It always starts and ends with leaders. You have to spend the capital on your software, web,apps, transfer, bill pay. Your 15 to 20 years behind. Best of luck

Works well for the most part. Navigation is easy enough. My biggest issue is with the check deposit function. It rarely works, and never very well.

mobile app constantly freezes, a couple months ago gte starts charging $5.00 a month of maintenance and it doesn't look like that money is even fixing anything. moving mortgage, checking, savings accounts to a bank that has a working mobile app to manage everything.

Capable of performing all app functions until recently. When I go in to submit a transfer, the app freezes and I end up having to do the transfer from the mobile banking site.

Every time I use this app for bank to check my account balance when I login in..A message oop up saying we are unable to validate your information. Please try again if you need assistance, please visit online banking to use the login assistance wizard or call for assistance..This is everytime with this app I uninstall and install again same thing please fix it..

Great app except for the photo deposit feature. My phone has a 16 mp camera but 99% of my pics are declined. No problems with similar apps.

Okay, to deposit you must write your account # on the back of the check under you signature. I found the instructions on the mobile site by chance. Why heck is that not listed as the problem causing the error??? The app is missing important info where it's needed most.

They just financed my new truck and I can't even get the app to open. It say "securely logging in" and just freezes there. And with the list of charges the sent me for members I will refinancing my truck with my local credit union as soon as possible.
