It works fine when connected to WiFi but when connected to data it doesn't, which makes it almost unusable if you're not in a place with WiFi. Have tried excluding it from all battery and data restrictions but still the same problem.
The app all of a sudden does not work. It says there is a program exception and switches off. There is no response from the various support addresses.
UPDATE Jan 2022 Trip alerts are coming through with the footage being the 30seconds AFTER what has caused the trip...not helpful at all!! Since the Nov 2019 I am no longer getting notifications from this app. Not good at all when it is a security system!!
Good app. Would be better if it would link your server & plug in all the numbers for you. But, it's still great. I can film take pictures & view camera to camera.
App stopped working, no idea why? Now all I get is: Program Exception. The mobile client is about to Restart. And the program shuts down immediately after getting this message???? No fix as of yet????? 👎👎👎
Barely gets the job done, clunky. If you have a choice of a system with a better app please pick it. This let's you do what you need but not easily. It won't remember preferences like if you drag and swap cameras, or to always show my camera in HD. Getting the menu to come up requires tapping just right on the video, not so you accidentally drag or double click and then you better be fast to change an option. I wouldn't even try to do playback on here in the past, it's virtually unnavigable.
Work nicely with my cctv system. The app features and UI are also nice. But what felt so limiting is the lack of speed play (i.e. 2x, 4x, 8x, etc) when playback. There only one speed which is 1x. This can be a real pain when we intend to observe what are captured by cctv in a some specific range of time. You can swipe the playback slider, but using this method, there are a huge leap (maybe 5-10 seconds) in a small swipe of the slider. So we may miss occasions in that leap. 5 stars if this fixed.
The app itself works great, does what it's supposed to with ease. My only issue with it is options, such as motion area and sensitivity. My camera faces a neighbour with a light that sets off the camera every single time the light switches on or off. It's annoying.
I've had the video doorbell for a month or so and I used to be able to expand the view to almost full screen. Recently it stopped letting me expand the view to full screen. This is very disappointing since I did a lot of research prior to buying this doorbell. I called the company that i bought the doorbell from and they tried the same action on their phone. They got the same result. My wife's phone does the same thing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone with no change.
The continuity of the function of viewing camera is very inconsistent. Often have to restart the app to view all the camera.
My door bell camera,it's not giving me alerts, very disturbing when I'm away from home,or at home that's very very disturbing. Can't tell if anyone is at the front door. Also I have the camera on security mode, which does help any having the camera. I'm 82 year's old, this is why I bought the door bell camera for my safety.

The app mostly works. I contacted the developer twice about the issue with detailed information. I never heard anything back. In short, I need to disable/enable the notification setting every 3 days. If I don't do that, the app will not send live notifications that an event has occurred. It would be a 4+ star app if this was fixed
Mostly on, but hik services are pain in the Putin, registered the account by phone number and now i'm unable to reset the pass or log into hik-connect website, because it says such account doesn't exist.
This app used to work well......but after a few updates, it barley works. When I first launch it, and click on a camera, the video will load, but if I leave the app then go back into it, I get a playback failure on all of the cameras. I have to close it, then relaunch the app. Also, when I click on the DVR, and it loads all my Cameras, the loading percentage gets stuck, so I have to swipe to another camera, then back to the camera I was trying to view for it to completely load. Please fix this.
Works okay for live video. Very laggy. Watching recorded video rarely works even when on the same network as the NVR - need to view locally/directly from machine. Occasionally goes "offline" even though NVR is still working. Does not come back until you manually reset NVR connection which defeats the purpose. This app is bad enough that I may replace my equipment in order to get better remote access.
Worked fine at first but for the last 2 weeks it just keep loading then it says "failed to start playing". What's the point of updating an app when it suppose to work better but instead is ruined. I would give it a 0 start if I had the options because how I'm suppose to keep my home safe and the people inside when I can even see what's happening. This is ridiculous, please fix this problem!!

I installed DVRs. This app made my life more easy. I have all of my costumers connected . It's very easy to add users, you don't hace to be next to them. Also playing back an incident is very simple. Thank you.
App as now been updated again to a new version and app working like a dream and back to normal. Thank you to developers to get the latest version working again. Very good and fast response.
Lots of problems and sometimes the app stops working. Forgets settings so constantly putting in configuration settings.
Was ok..getting worst at each upgrade Now getting weird messages lice unstable network. No more connections are allowed ?? All this happened after sharing Will look for another App

Looks like this company has things flowing smoothly now. My only grip is that I wish there was an option to leave the app open on a tablet/phone device ( Android ). Where if I wanted to keep the app open to constantly view my camera's. So I do not have to keep restarting my camera feed.
