GuestToGuest - Home exchange

The app has become much much better lately. You can now see who you've already contacted before opening the profile, also a very useful feature is when you contact another member, your last custom message appears in the message field with the name of the member automatically filled in. This makes it much easier and faster to contact other members. The notification system has also improved. Well done guys. It's about time your app lives up to the service!

It would be very helpful to be able to filter your favourites by Country. If this was possible for me it would be a 5 star app. ******* Update no answer to my request unfortunately 😔 seems there is no motivation for improvements. The more you have in your favourites the harder it is to find one without filters or similar.

I love the app, its really responsive anf and easy to use. The layout, in app surgestions and tips make it very user friendly

I reported an issue with notification and been told to activate them in my phone app settings, which I already checked. Also re-installed and still not receiving them. I also spoke to other members who experienced the same and therefore delayed responding due to this. Surely there is a bug that needs fixing, instead of rejecting the fault on the user. Please test it further.

This is a wonderful concept but recent updates to the app and store mean the house images don't load. Just pictures of hand drawn teepee so if you like blind swapping it's fine! Sent an email and tried to reinstall but no good. I'm on android phone.

Pretty good! Creates a few exchanges and now I'll be traveling internationally and staying for free.

This new app is extremely disappointing. We have done many exchanges but now it is almost impossible to match your requirements to those wishing to exchange with you particularly in terms of dates. You have no idea if someone is interested in coming to your place at the time of the year you want to go to theirs. This is a complete time waster. I suggest they go back and have a look at the homeexchange filters. Finally some of the data I put in in relation to our home has gone missing. Needs work.

Where to begin... The App is awful. Glitchy, slow, shows deleted messages as new mail every time you get a message, bombards your email with unwanted junk even if you unsubscribe. The old website, pre-merger with another site, was great. The new site and awful app associated with it, has monitized what was a beautiful system. I sent 2 emails detailing the issues with suggestions to resolve them and was greeted with one "there, there dear, we are just thinking about the profit" then no reply.

Allows me to travel far more than I would otherwise. App works really well too

Easy-to-use app even if using points rather than exchanging homes. Lots of Home choices in every area of the world.

This is awesome app to get intouch around the world who are similar interests. Not sure about the security of the property if insurance cover in some areas in case it happen

The only way to travel and à great app

I really wanted to like and use this App, however it is fundamentally flawed making it highly annoying to use. It's a real simple fix though. Currently there are only three states you home can be in: 'Available', 'Guests wanted' or 'Booked'. What about a fourth naturally occurring posibility: 'Not available'!? Because this option is missing I am receiving countless aimless requests for times when my place is actually 'Not available' (for other reasons than HomeExchange). Please fix it!

Hate GuestofaGuest taking over Homeexchange. So many things don't work properly, and the whole idea of points vs easy/clear balloons is a mess. The points do not reflect the values properly at all. Forcing people to jump through hoops to exchange points that they agreed on is asinine. Starting to charge for points and retaining the $s is sleazy. The whole acquisition is a huge mess. Also, the app keeps on hanging, then kicking me out. Cant translate messages, so have to continuously ask for it

Amazing idea to help to families with kids to travel economically and also amazing customer service!! It's very secure way to travel! Totally worth to try! Highly recommend it. We are divorced parents with 5 kids in total and if not Home Exchange , we would not be able to travel so easily. THANK YOU!!!

Very easy to use and intuitive

The concept is great and I have had a few exchanges but the app is rubbish and doesn't always function properly. Frustrating to say the least. I want to make my home 0 guest points and mutual exchanges only but it won't save my changes. Sort it out.

This app is constantly changing ( never for the better!) with very poor functionality e.g. the site has decided my house with 5 large bedrooms can only sleep 8! The availability calendar is extremely difficult if not impossible to use. Every time I open this app I just want to close it immediately.

Never had any problems with the Guest to Guest app, now I can't even search using the Home Exchange app since the merger. I hope it's fixed soon and it's not a bad omen, we really liked Guest to Guest and had good experiences but maybe that's all a thing of the past.

We have been on home exchange for almost 8 years and completed many exchanges. I could not reccomend this enough. We have had fantastic holidays with a huge choice of exchanges in homes that have perfectly suited the needs of our family at different stages. We have never had a negative experience either as guests or hosts. It's our preferred way to holiday now. 140 euro a year is value for money as we have saved 1000s on wonderful holidays. This is not an ad😂. We are lucky to live in a desired area so we have lots of choice.

On the Details page for an exchange it should show how many points you have, how many will be deducted, and how many you will have after the exchange. It seems like an obvious feature but it is not there. Also in latest update I get an error message when I try to view my favourites. Groups seem to be a neglected feature. I would like to see this improved and also to be able to search for homes that are LGBT friendly

Translation facility should be made available within the app as lot of guests from different countries approach through the app communicating in foreign languages which makes it difficult to understand and respond. Another enhancement maybe email preferences should be respected as I keep receiving these annoying email notifications despite turning them off!
