Good idea but, in my opinion, lazily executed. The app has no wake lock - screen switches off, app stops - for an app that's meant to sit and call out notes that's pretty annoying. Also there aren't enough useful options - I would like to set which exact note or group of notes I want called out so that I can focus on them. I think it would also be very useful for the app to hear the notes I play in response to the prompts so it can recognise correct from incorrect and my success rate and progress can be recorded / charted. This feels like an app you get from a good idea and a generic app creator program instead of an app custom coded from scratch - it's constrained by the app creator tool's limitations.
Great app. I have only used this for a day and I know that if I give this the attention it deserves progress will be rapid. Follow up in a month or so
Simply straight to the point. I love it. I would love to see this same type of thing for chords also. I can use this for majors but I'd like a mix of minors, 7ths, inversions and etc. Thanks for such a great program though.
This is what I've been looking for! You're not finding a note on the screen. You're actually playing the notes on the guitar; the place you should be learning
Really effective way of learning. I like the way you can choose to look at one, two or all the strings and adjust the timer too. It's genius!
Great little app! I use my tuner to make sure I'm picking the correct note. Hopefully by the time I've finished this there will be an app for scale shapes. Great stuff well worth £1.50!
It said in the description of the app that you can set it to one string at a time. Also there's no interaction. Maybe I just don't know how to set it up? I thought it would say a note and I'd have to touch the screen or ANY actual interactions.
Nice app for guitarists who want to learn their way around the fretboard.
I think one improvement would be the option to have the notes presented on a musical staff so the user could learn to read music for the guitar as well. Otherwise, no complaints.
Does exactly what you want it to do. No fuss, no hassle. Straightforward and effective.
At first I though this is way too simple and lacking. But by starting your focus on one string at a time it actually becomes effective. Suggestion:Would benefit from tweaking the aesthetic as it could look better on a tablet. Add 1-12 on the side for beginners and when speaking the note add the relevant note to each red dot it just brings a deeper focus to memory. Good app for what it does though.
This is the first fretboard app I've used that is genuinely useful. Good value, easy to use and does what it says it will.
I personally don't think I'm good at the guitar...yet. That's why I downloaded this app. If you are looking to learn the fretboard, (which this app WILL help you do) I suggest downloading this app! For anyone, beginner to a pro, this app will prove to be useful! Well made!
A great no messing app, for novices to seasoned pros... Simple layout for straightforward learning
Nice app but gutted there is No Left Hand fretboard
