Guitar Scales & Patterns

Paid app is great and ticks all the right boxes, custom tunings and up to 8 strings. Only thing that could make it perfect is 1) option to change note letters to just fret numbers (probably just me) 2) would be really cool to be able to press the notes of a scale into the fretboard and have the app tell you what scale it is as I've been learning alot by ear and using apps like this to desipher what scale I'm actually using. 3)ability to zoom out to 12 or more frets would be great

Updating review to 5 stars. After receiving refund, I heard back from developer that the crashing issue was fixed in next update. So just repurchased again this morning and updated it and now app runs well. I like how clean and simple UI is! Makes exploring scales easy! One feature request: would be great to be able to display other notes on the strings that are not part of current scale (maybe in non-highlighted format), and also allow you to play those notes as well.

This app is really well thought out and useful. My only wish is that you could display 12 frets without scrolling. This would make it easier to work out scale runs. Also the blue note on the blues scales would be nice in a different colour. Apart from that - superb! :)

Simple to use app. Not only is it an easy way to reference scales, but the ability to tap the screen and play notes makes it a great app to work out melodies. I would have paid more for this useful tool. The free version is already well worth the download, but the price of the paid version is a real bargain.

Decided to upgrade to Pro version and here is my Full Review. -- What I love the most: AWESOME!! 1. Simple to use and effective (NO BULLSH*T) 2. Includes sounds on each note 3. Custom tuning -- What I want to have (suggestions for future updates): 1. Remove metronome.. WHY? Looks like it's there just to be an extra.. 2. Replace metronome function with generated Chords!! Which allows the users to switch between Scales and Chords patterns❤️😎 3. MORE scales!! Great app. Easy 5 stars👍🏻

Great app. Can notes be seen turned to you when in landscape mode ? Record feature would be nice for composing. Being a mode is the combination of 7 scales shifted on the neck, would like to see an option for allowing these boxed "shapes" to be shown, maybe a colored outline for each. Worth every penny.

Great tool! I feel like it's everything I need and then some. If I were to want anything more come out of the app. Perhaps a circle of fifths or chord banks but that's straying away from scales which is what the app does a good job with.

Very useful info with an effective and clean UI. The free version was great and I was happy to pay for the additional content. Slight issue when I paid, but it was fixed literally within minutes through email. Good program, great service.

Great app with a wide selection of great scales and excellent customization. My only reason for a star deduction is that as a bass player who uses drop tuning, I'm unable to access the C#1 I need. E1 is the lowest this app will go... So for bass players and extended range guitarists, you'll be limited in this app.

I love this app, but I give only 4 stars due the fretboard is only 22 frets and no 24 frets, also it would be very nice if you gave an option to highlight more than one box at the same time (e.g. hightlight frets 8-11 and 14-17). Like I repeat, it's a great app and I love it.

Started with the free version and loved it enough to buy the full version, it's what i use to help learn while i'm at college. just found the feature that allows you to add a 7th string which is very handy since my primary guitar is a 7.

Pretty good app, except every time I try to change to a different mode I get a message asking me to buy the pro version which is what I am in, I've already paid for it. I can get to the new mode by getting out of the app which takes me to the Google Play screen and if I click 'open' and go back to the app it does open the nee mode but all of this is a real pain.

This app is pretty great. The only thing that I would like to see is a feature that will play a scales audio so you can play along with it and be able to adjust the tempo so you can start slow and speed it up as you progress. :-)

I did use this app for a while. But today I decided to purchase full version, and I am fully satisfied. The app provides so many patterns and scales in different styles which make learning more easy and effective. Thank you Vladimir for your job, well done. 5 stars.

While I hate the color palette, and think the interface could be made much more appealing, the fact is that this is hands down the best guitar scales app I have come across.

Very good app for learning scales , what would make for a good addition is to be able to overlock the major and minor scales together for practice.

I wanted to give five stars but there are problems with the metronome lagging and skipping beats. The rest of the app works perfectly but the metronome needs work.

This app is great to learn all the scales that any key it's really awesome better than watching YouTube trying to learn how to play a gift card I really love this app thanks guys great job

Really good app with no ads or pop ups. Does what it is meant to do. Would be great if could choose electric guitar instead of the nylon string guitar

Worth $3.49 any day. This is a very simple to use app. It has an extensive library of scales. It has a feature that shows triads for each scale. Want to shred japanese pentatonic and know the triads/chords you can use... Boom!!!

Awesome and simple reference app. Only improvement I might ask of is having more tunings, and/or being able to save your custom tunings.

It is excellent, though I am a still a beginner, It helps me a lot when it comes to song writing, I especially like the "show triads option"

Pretty sweet. I now have a catalog featuring many scales, in every key, at the tips of my fingers. Totally worth the $5 or whatever it was.

Great app. Has everything you would need to know about any scale in any key. Also shows triad notes.

Amazing app, has an incredible amount of scales available, more than you could ever need.

We really could do with an apegio version or built in to the app. But if I could add more stars I would. Pro version purchased.

Full version is cheap and easy to use. I did have a book but lost it, I think this is just as convenient
