I like the idea. The interface is very easy to use and I love how I can play back what I've written to hear if it is correct. However, I would like more options to choose from, namely, include rests, dynamics, staccato, and other performance directions to make my compositions more flavorful and theoretically correct. Will give 5 stars once you include this. But awesome app all the same! Keep it up! 😀

Saving is a bit glitchy, and doesn't always work. If you are using multiple apps at the same time, and navigate away it will reset the the last version saved in memory. Which isn't always the last save you made. I also wish you'd move sustain button away from the navigation arrows. As well as allow the user to create their own tuning, and a larger variety of different instruments. Other then that, great app!

Good app, but could be a lot better. The good: it's pretty easy to enter tabs, you can select from a wide range of tunings, and you can play your tabs back at a bpm of your choice. The ”could be better”: * Would be nice to just choose the number of steps to down tune. Options like C# standard tuning are missing. * You can only add one instrument/song. * Needs playback options: loop a section, count-in. * Support for 7 & 8 string guitars would be great

It's ok for the bare minimum. Because I was in a pinch I paid for the full version, and it does ok, but the functionality is limited. You can't create custom tunings (though it does come with presets), you can't indicate strums, you can't use more complex musical notation, and it costs more than it's worth, imo. I would've just used Musescore if I had the time, and that's free.

It's actually a very intuitive layout and has nice playback. However, there are important elements missing: no capo option, no ability to denote finger positions, no options for chords above the tabs, no sound bank, and no option for multiple voices (like for a duet or isolating the bass line). It's a nice app to quickly get a rough draft tab together of more simple songs, but definitely not complex ones that require notations. Fix the app and I'll definitely give a better rating!

It's a really good app for editing tabs and creating, but it could use some features. The distortion effect could have some preferences for sound, since the palm mute notes sound very similar to regular notes. Sliding, hammer ons, and pull offs would be nice too, since most of the time the notes have a strum sound. All in all, really cool app and would buy these new features if added.

Good app, I personally use it to write down riffs of licks that I wrote so I don't forget. It's simple and easy to use. My question however: Are you planning on adding 7string and maybe 8string possibilities? What would also be a neat feature to add would be your own tunings. The tuning in there now are all fairly basic so for any alternate tunings you have to edit the tabs which can make it hard. I'd love to see a response!

This is a great app for what it is. I wish it had customizable tunings and strings. I play 7 string in AEADGBE and they only have drop A for 6 string which is AEADF#B which is very restrictive for tabbing out my music. Also, it would be nice if I could use landscape mode in the app as well. Other than that this app is a great tool for a guitarist who writes original music

First app review I've ever written I think and very happy for this to be the one. Very little i would change and gives me the ability to expand on song and riff ideas without being anywhere near an instrument. Only grievances I've had in my first week is wishing there were more tunings or string options (7 or 8 strings) and being able to change tempo in the middle of a measure or between measures. To be fair, I could just be missing the second of those two features as I'm still new.

Great app, definitely needs some more features though. Pinch harmonics, natural harmonics, custom time signatures, half notes, whole notes, dotted quarter notes, dotted half notes, 7-8 string setting, the ability to have a bending note ring out a long time without the actual bend being long, better slides, the ability to have to parts play simultaneously (so that its not a huge mess when you're harmonizing two guitar parts), and more. With over 300 tabs made, I think its worth the price.

It's overall an alright tab writer, Really needs an overhaul though, a few things that would be great if they could add I n: More tunings for bass guitar similar to the guitar tunings, more effects and dynamics, 5 string bass and 7 string guitar, drums & drum tab, More note values, The ability to change tempo/time sig mid-song or for specific bars, and an option to save as a photo would be great as well. but in the current state it is in it's not worth paying for with a lack of crucial features.

Can't access the server to find my old songs. I really enjoy the app and I've been able to transcribe and tweak my songs while using the app. It's easy to use and the server has alot of songs for you to see what the app can do. I just can't get acces to the server anymore. It keeps giving me net::ERR_CLEARTEXT_NOT_PERMITTED

Many note values seem to be unavailable. No half notes, single eighth notes, etc. Copy and paste function would be a great addition. Overall decent but very limiting with the choice of note values

So far enjoyable. The play button is right in there way at times ., If that was dockable and able to move & relocate it that would be helpful . I like it shows bar/beat duration when you change from one to the other it is very helpful figuring out my riffs & timing of picking. Thank you for a great app.

I loved this app, and it help a lot when I was tabbing music. I used it even thought it's tone was off and you could play chords on it. I dealt with that, but until recently I've been given warning and blocks staying I can only have 5 SONGS?!?! This is bs. The only reason I'm keep this app for this time being is to find a new app that works a lot better and has no tab limit.

This app rocks🤘🏽. I have owned GTX for over 3 years now. It's very easy to navigate. I tabbed out over 15 songs with this app. Every time I use it, I learn a little more about meter, rhythm, and timing. Idk a lot of music theory so GTX helps me communicate my music to friends. I also enjoy exporting pdfs and midi. Midi export costs extra but works with every DAW. Midi makes programming drums easier in my DAWs. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a drop G# option.

I cant print out darker. its too light. Ive tried two differnt printers and you cant see what strings your on! Fix it please? Give us an option to make the bars larger. it's fine on the phone, but when you want to print out your work you can't see the bars .You can only see your frets and notes. And how about the option to add strings? Fix this and Ill gladly rate you higher.

It's ok. What would make it perfect is if it had 4 things. 1- Options for writing a capo in. 2- Open of writing lyrics in. 3- Options of writing the chord above a measure. 4. - had rests and if it had all notes like half notes etc....kinda had to accurately create your song without rests and missing notes causing you to write it off tempo just to fit the available notes in.

The interface is a bit choppy and the instruments do really sound like midi files, but most all features needed to jot down a quick beat I thought of are provided and it's all-around a very positive experience making my lines on this app. I would love some more realistic sounding bass notes though.

Best app I've found for making tabbing guitar but I would like the option to be able to annotate around. For example to be able to add whether I need to strum up or down or how many times to repeat a bar and if it was possible to change the number of the bar. Updates like this would make the app much more useful for me
