Guitar Tuner
This app uses your microphone to detect the string being played and indicate if you should tune up or down.
Pitch pipe function also included.
The standard EADGBE guitar (not implemented for very small screen devices) indicates current note being played or allows fast note selection in manual mode.
Tuning range from 30 Hz (B0) to 4186Hz (C8), so can also be used to tune other stringed instruments.

The developer, "keuwlsoft" normally makes amazing apps. They're functional, lightweight, and completely free with no ads. However this is not one of keuwlsoft's better offerings. It is laggy (has a very slow refresh rate) and has almost no options to customize. I really can't recommend this app.
Took a bit to get it together. Newbe here, eh sorry let me get out of the way. Anyway it worked great. I borrowed my daughters guitar her b/f put the strings on. Dumb a's got the bottom 2 strings backwards. then cause he's so cool n knows it all. Cut the excess strings off. So there will be no Changing that back to practice. I did have to delete it to save space. cant play those great games with out memory! l8
1. With auto tuner 2. with single tone guide (gives the sound for the appropriate String. 3 with string letter layout, 4 Low memory usage, 5 and storage enables to SD. This app deserves a 6th star on my first try.
I use kewlsofts decibel meter and also their light meter. They're nicely designed apps. Unfortunately the guitar tuner is a bit slow to respond and like the rest of the world I now use Guitar Tuna.
Cheap but not cheerful. The needle flops about like a bad wig in a gale and makes it very hard to get an accurate reading.

Very light and useful application. Nothing fancy. Just tune it....
simple to use, not too large in phone space.maybe ill be back to give 5stars let me test it well cause i have just installed.
it works well once you figure out how the not vary obvious buttons work.
It only recognized 4 out of 6 strings. Even the Fender tuner recognizes 5 out of 6.
Love it. Very simple app, just open and tune your instrument.
i tore a string tuning with it. tested it at both limits and never got the result

worst one in the store.. download smartchord... it's super accurate and quick

I already know how to tune a guitar and have a set of pitch pipes to help me tune my guitar accurately. I tried turning my guitar to this app and it tuned it perfectly. I was able to verify it with my pitch pipes. I am guessing that the folks giving this app a poor review have no idea how it actually works. It's quite simple really, but you first need to be musically inclined and have a good ear.
