Gumtree Beta

If I could give less stars I would, the old app was much better, now I can't easily flick between my pictures when posting an ad and the interface is horrible. No sticky post at the top for posting anymore, you have to go look for it and sign out also difficult to find. I found the old app much easier to use and deleted this one. Please fix the issues, also where did the make main image button go? :(

Easy search for what you're looking for! Recently - Dec 2018 - the app has crashed a lot, not sure if this is caused by updates! New update disappointing - they seem to have limited favourites to 10 and the start up goes straight to the general pages rather than, as before, letting the viewer decide how to start.

Current version is awful. Restarts the app each time you minimise it so, you lose where you were. Search filters are confusing and, disappear and re-appear (distance control disappears if you're not quick) . If you have any ads, you now need to look at each one to see if you have messages or just to delete it. Genuinely awful update.

It's very useful, but sometimes a few bugs won't let you apply for the job. Also, if they could create a setting section where you could update your mail preferences, that'd be nice. I keep getting mail for every message I get through the app and it it's tideous to delete them individually.

what's the difference? it's still a pain in the arse to use. I was able access what I was looking for quickly with no problems and very straight forward, now it involves a lot of farting about and seems unnecessarily complicated...... I am still waiting for your improvements? setting up search filters is a nightmare, it seems to have a mind of its own, it seems impossible to set up to be notified, and the ads would tell you how far they were but now just say where they are. I want to know how far

Some good improvements been done, but searching within some distance doesn't work properly, 10miles is more luke 50 miles. Add from ebay.. Don't know why,not even related to searched item. Few years ago, searching was easy, one drop down job done, now there are two separate areas you have to go through, one on main page, second on refine,there is no need for that. Posting adds got better. Would score more, but this app has been around for a while to get it all sorted and leave it.

Price range does not work in filters. Have a seperate section for damaged vehicles, spares and repairs and vehicle's without MOT and put them in a separate section. It would be nice when choosing in filters to be able to choose multiple options for example, choosing a body type in motors only one type can be chosen like estate or hatchback coupe saloon only one option is possible. And again please sort out price ranging in filters.

Don't like this beta version. It looks nice but why has the distance feature been removed from searches? This is not good. I've had to revert back to the old non-beta version as this is useless now. You must add the distance feature back before this gets a full release. My partner and I use gumtree a lot but won't if this gets released as it currently is. Sorry. It's nice to know that gumtree are sorting this out. Thanks for the reply.

very poor. my biggest issue apart from the complicated navigation is that the favourite button doesn't work, so i can't save the ads i like which is a big issue when ur looking through for several things. I've made sure all updates are done and have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and restarted phone to no avail. Not happy as i use it alot.

Utter utter rubbish! App update is useless! Complicated to use, it's slow and won't let you post pictures from your phone! Gumtree's response was to tell me to use a PC to post an advert! How is that convenient?? Particularly when you don't have a PC!! Someone tell Gumtree that people have smart phones now!! I used to use Gumtree all the time until someone decided it needed fixing!! Frustrating and a total waste of time! Come on GT, you need to do a lot better than that, you've ruined your app!!

ANOTHER RUBBISH UPDATE 😠. 7th July 2019. Now MONTHS on from the original catastrophic update release and it's STILL full of bugs that make browsing useless and distance filters STILL DON'T WORK!You must be losing users by the tens of thousands. Complaint emails to the developers are not delivered saying you must update the app but I just did!😧. Are you using Ebay's software development team? That would explain it! 😂. What's wrong with you people? You need to get it fixed!!😡

really poor functioning on my android. trying to post an add seems to take about 24hours. messaging is worse- people message to say they want your product and the app wont let you respond. lost out on selling my item now. really rubbish. i use the mobile website, although messaging on there is not much easier!

perfect app to buy stuff locally. however usability could be better. marking items as favourites doesn't always work properly and the filters aren't very reliable either.

Just like the main app it doesnt store favourites, a feature I heavily use. In item view you just plain cant do it. In list mode even worse as shows as favourited - until it goes off the screen!

Unusable if you want to search to find items that are close to you. Used to be able to search within 5 miles or so of your address. No longer possible so unusable for me. In response to Gumtrees reply: thanks for taking the time to respond.i will explore it again in the future, that search distance tool really is key.

I used to be able to look and manage the ads in this app but now you have to visit the website for this. It's still good for buyers. Liked the previous version as it had more features.

only gave it 1 star because its not possible to give a zero star rating, this application is buggy,and full of ads that render the app useless, this application is infuriating to say the least. older versions of this app worked perfectly. please fix.

After a recent update the app caused random vibrations but without sending actual notification. Took a week to figure out it was Gumtree Beta app. Very annoying. Otherwise useful app but removed due to this notification issue.

keeps coming up an error has occurred when posting an add. uninstalled and reinstalled and facing same proplem. update is a big fat fail. disappointed gumtree. items for sale in kids and baby. it keeps flashing in red txt an error has occurred

Good app with a few glitches. Love gumtree but definitely easier on a desktop computer then the app. Works alright but sometimes need to close and restart to work properly.

worst update ever, previous version was so easy to use this involves to much messing about to put it politely. also now will only work in portrait on both my tablets, seriously thinking of not bothering with it anymore.

Liked the old version better. It's really annoying when you click on an add, swipe left to see the other photos and another app apprears insted- you need to click to enlarge photo first.

I don't even want to give this gumtree app 1 star. Can someone from gumtree please explain why it is taking months for you to get this app correctly working. This is the 4th time I've complained about it. I have to uninstall it all the time because it is so so so bad. Can someone from gumtree please explain to all us users, why this app has went from one of best apps to one of the worst apps ever. As soon as you search for something by spelling, the app cant find anything, even in the categorys

Has become far too intrusive and cluttered in terms of privacy and pushing ads. Pity, was a great alternative to Spock which now looks good by comparison despite its many time wasters

i been using the app for years, but i have to say that you have to find a better protection as there are tons of scammers. putted an s9 on sell and i have received 12 paypal scammers asking for tricking payments.need to find another way to honest sellings. then after update cant find the way to set a distance from home anymore

After updating couldn't use it every thing wrong categorys all mixed up couldn't put a distance in should never have changed it wish I had never updated it terrible had to uninstall put it back the way it was it was much better the old way

Useless! Completed all the information and wouldn't post. Requests all fields to be entered - but they were! Tried several times over last hour. What a waste of my time.
