Like most mobile ports, the graphics and sound are pretty much on par and at a glance these are the coolest little games ever...then the gameplay starts and the "ah-ha, its a mobile game..." moment hits you. In fairness, Forever Sega's controls are okay for an android game, better than most, but they are still lacking. Gunstar Heroes is a bit frantic for the stilted controls of the touch screen, but it works alright as a coffee break game or something.
Its good, ads arent annnoying and the game is responsive with no input delay or slowdown, also just the overall emulation is good with everything looking like the original, but there is one problem which keeps it from being a perfect emulation and its the saving,its broken, it works at times but if an ad does not load it just doesnt work, please fix this. I dont have the time to play the game again. If the ad doesnt work default to saving the game not locking out someone from a basic feature.
Abysmal controller support. I'm using an LG G6 with the 8bitdo SN30 Pro controller. Neither the D-pad or the analog sticks works. All I can do is shoot, jump and pause the game. I suggest letting us users customize the controls completely, rather than just letting us configure the face buttons.
Even though I'm not good at the game,I still like this game.It is amazing that people can classic Sega Genesis Games onto mobile phones and tablets. But I do have a problem, which is the fact that every time I try to go to my save file, It shows an ad and even after all of that, it doesn't go to my save. Please fix this.
I'll never forget a Friday night I was around maybe 10 or so. My older brother of 3 years loved games and loved playing games with me. Any time he had a few extra dollars we would hit blockbuster up and rent a game for the weekend. We played this game 3 times beat it 3 times. Had pizza soda. The works. To this day still the best experience with my brother. Who now doesn't recall anything he did in his youth. Every time I mention something we did. He says I don't recall that. Point is best game
Absolutely terrible in that it cannot work with a controller. No matter what button you map "shoot" to, it won't shoot! It'll ask if you want to rewind time by 15 seconds instead! You're forced to use the onscreen controls, which are unwieldy, making this game a pain to play rather than a pleasure.
I purchased the game. I love this game since I was a kid but the control is awful. I can't get pass the first scene. I pressed left, it get stuck on right. I pressed the shoot button and It constantly jumps.
I use an 8bitdo SN30pro+ gamepad and it working well with another games, I mean not SEGA games. But with any SEGA games I can not move with joystick - it's not working. ONLY buttons A B X Y working. So I can jump and fire but can't move forward.
One of my favourite games from my childhood! So well designed. I love how I can move around the buttons at will and change their size independently. Two player co-op is great too!
Can't get this game to run on my Chromebook flip C214. It ran fine on my old Nexus 7 tablet but now it just freezes on the load screen. Any suggestions on what to do?
Best Genesis game thats not Sonic. Honestly it deserves to be a long lasting franchise I get sensory overload just thinking about how much you can expand this game.
Awesome game made mediocre because of the lack of controller support. This truly is an awesome game, but it's impossible to play on a virtual gamepad.
I loved this on my Sega mega drive console and this brings back some childhood memories. Just the d-pad is not easy to use at first. But after a while you get the swing of things. Great game!!!
Coustmize your control setting and button size is a must. The controls dont respond sometimes but other then that its a fantastic game.
Love it just love it of course you gotta used to the controls . But that's manageable I have already beaten the game . Just love it definitely give it a shot .
Good Port of gunstar heroes. I was introduced on this game from a magazine but it was a sequel to this game called gunstar super heroes that was my first experience from the gba being discovering this I find it one of the best shoot em ups.
Awsome its segas megaman but better!then megaman!only problem is it just drops you in no explanation,not the best story,I had to look up the characters names on Google.
Directional buttons do not work with the Xbox Controller. Only action buttons. If this worked would get 5 stars. Dear game from childhood.
A really great classic. Just get it on an emulator though. A sega genesis game shouldn't go over 100+ mb.
Same thing with the sonic classic port, great game, but with bad controller support.
I couldn't even get pass the first screen! A Color by Number ad keeps playing crashes the game.
This has always been my number one game but to lock the save behind an advert...that is rough, what a joke!
The gunstar heroes game is totally full of fun and it's easy to control the setting and the movement of the player
controls are a bit janky other than I love this game still play it on my mom's old sega to this day just wish it was free on xbox
Just like old times, sort of lol love old school games tho. Phone controls are always odd tho will update as i put hours on the game..
Practically unplayable unfortunately because the ads appear to be broken. You go to start the game up and it runs an ad. No problem, I don't mind ad supported games, that's fine. Except the advert frame appears to be zoomed in or something meaning the close button is off the screen and you're stuck with no way to close it. The only way to get into the game is to restart the app with airplane mode on. Fine. Except you need to be online to save the game! I don't mind ads, but you need to fix this!
