Gurk III, the 8-bit RPG

Excellent game! Wish there was a lot more games like this out there. Completely free, playable offline, no ads, no bullsh*t. Game is easy to pick up, play for a bit, set it down, come back to later, resume exactly where you were. It's a simple old school style tile-based turn-based crpg, with a big map and lots to explore. And noticeable improvements from Gurk II. If you like old school Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy games, come give this a try.

Love the game played through it once and was maxing out my characters then bam it will not load anymore...S8+ It's only a gray screen with no buttons. I'm so disappointed I just want it to work :( I tried multiple uninstalls/ clear data/ restarts and nothing fixes it it issuch an odd problem. Still loved the game 5 stars but one playthrough is just not enough!

I'm at the final boss right now and I can say in good conscience, this is the most bang for your buck your will find in terms of "old school rpg with a twist" on the play store. It combines elements of many classic games to make an outright fun experience that I'll probably play two more times before I'm such of it just so I can try all 9 of the different characters.

This is a long game for the price. It is a bit too hard if you don't reload bad level ups. Given the amount of experience it takes to level up, it is impractical to just gain more levels. And, it isn't clear that awareness adds to mana.

This is definetly one of my favorite mobile games ever. Simple yet fun. Great replay value with all of the different classes. NO MICRO TRANSACTIONS. And the developers have kept up with the updates and paid attention to any issues. Highly recommend.

Just started playing in earnest after years of piddling... Very nice! Its more challenging than I thought (underestimated the difficulty) and some of the mechanics are still unclear, but a very very enjoyable game! Very nostalgic and generally well thought through!

This is my favorite phone game! I would buy more like this with the same set up only a different story. I've played through many times and get it out again periodically. No ads or in app purchases, just good fun.

Great little game! Simple & fun. However, I recently downloaded again after a factory reset, but all I get are blank boxes where graphics should be, and no redponse

What a game. Gurk III is by far the best in the series and arguably the best RPG on this app store. Huge amounts of content, a variety of combat strategies thanks to its unique battle mechanics and varying characters/items, and an intriguing story. Buy this game - it deserves the money.

I want to give 5 stars but I switched from Galaxy S6 to Google Pixel 3, and the game no longer works. Edit: game runs, but music doesn't play. Update it to 3 stars. Update: I was told it was fixed but there is still no music.

I am impressed, heck of a deal and worth the money and then some really. No IAP or ads makes for a lovely game. I have spent more on other games and gotten much less. More please.

Great game series, have purchased Gurk II & III on multiple Google accounts. I really hope the developers consider updating Gurk I & II for the newest Android builds as well, playing through Gurk 1 for free is why I bought II & III, twice.

Fantastic rendition of a 80s era dungeon game, perfect for Android, and a masterful level of play and content. Series has improved with each release.

On par with games like Exiled Kingdoms, Bards Tale, etc. Expect it to be the weakest of the bunch, but still very very good.

All these games are fantastic, and I have played this over and over and over again. I was doing a fresh playthrough and found a legendary item that I had never seen before and it brought me an absurd amount of joy. Borakash, Feraldan and Tazadar for the win!

This is a great game. A old 8-bit style rpg that just captivates the player. The developers also fixed the last update too!

In my opinion it would have been difficult to improve a game like Gurk II. Gurk III is way better: bigger, longer and with new game mechanics using buffs and fast actions. Loved it! Waiting for Gurk IV.

Once you learn to pick off the closest targets to your Warrior with Your Ranger, and let the enemy come to you...the game is easy. Here is to Gurk 4 being in 3D with cool Animation, but keep it simple.

One of the best 8bit RPG mobile games. If you were a fan of the Ultima series, you'll enjoy this game. I own all 3 Gurk games in the series. Wish there were more!

Excellent RPG that is actually a game and not a means of selling micro transactions. Most like old school RPGs and flash games than modern mobile games.

2019.10.08 Most recent update fixed problems that prevented play due to system updates. Gurk III remains the best 8 bit style RPG available!

Great game. I've spent more time playing this than any other mobile RPG. So glad they fixed it so it runs on the latest version of Android!

Huh? ...it's 2018 & there is no need to make an RPG such as this.. I did not enjoy it on my tablet & probably wouldn't even like it on my wrist watch.. getting ohk'd by missile attackers directly after a no-text, no-explanation, no-nothing introduction was an indication of the potential banality ahead... uninstalled & refunded & taking a shower 🤔

Great game. Cool midi-like music. I wish I could experience the sound board, I could really jam with that.

Thank you for creating this game. I just completed all the quest and had a great time playing it. I'm going to take a short break and then reinstall it and play it again.

Reminds me of Dragon Warrior on the old NES. Freaking love it!
