Actually my favorite game of the series. Love the simplicity of the UI, art, and storyline. So much fun and pretty amazing when you think of when this was originally built and the technical limitations of that time.
This is a game I first downloaded YEARS ago. I make sure that I have all 3 Gurk games on my phone at all times. The first one is perfect for anyone wanting to get their feet wet or take the deep dive. It's grindy, the combat can be intimidating when you roll a very hard encounter and without any Mana or Health potions in the first Gurk (unlike G2 and G3), you have to learn to manage your spells on Gorlok accordingly. Can you defeat Braka the Terrible? I dare you to try. I double dare you!
Essentially, Gurk is akin to classic RPGs in terms of giving players cluelessness. However, those ones have a story to drive the players to play through the game and NPCs that give vital info to aid your journey. This one, doesn't. You just blindly explore, fight monsters, and that's all of the game in a nutshell, oh, and also inadvertently grind, since "running" is no option. Encounter rate is not as tedious as Mega Man Starforce 2, thankfully. Oh, and the battle system is SRPG-like.
This is a decent classic ultima clone. Even though it's mostly just mindless grind with little to no story whatsover the meat is pretty much there. Archaic as it is, just like a (8-bit) piano, it's perfect for what it's trying to be.
this game was such a simple, wonderful experience. years have gone by since I've played it and I'm still inspired by how intuitive and fun it was. about to redownload it on my new phone and have some fun!
decent game that's free. however, combat is slow and there's no sound effects or music at all. but... It's free and worth playing.
Not sure what people are talking about. There is definately a story here and yes, and ending if you follow the story. Perhaps people are just too stuck on zero attention games to.play this?.
Used to play this game, had to change phones. For some reason, it doesn't work on my current phone. The buttons don't do anything but change color when touched. Halp!
Classic 8bit! Fed my jonesin for some Ultima 1 style gaming. I have played all 3 and each gets a little bigger and smoother. Great pacing! Not grindy at all.
awesome game, although I would prefer having a campaign for main quests and many side quests apart from endless grinding and adventure.
This is great! Easy to understand navigation and fight system. It's a tad more difficult than Gurk II tho.
well. This is a great game for simple 8bit. To thos who said this game very boring they are probably those who havent heard of gameboy and they are too modern
If you like RPGs, just download it. It takes seconds to download and is 89 KB and is also free. You need to be the luckiest man alive to have less than 89 KB of free space.
OK game. Graphics like they're supposed to be. Still don't know what I'm supposed to be doing or where I'm going. 😁 Haven't played RPGs for 30 years.
good concept, needs some calibration adjustments. preferably not by someone with baby hands.
My favorite RPG on Android is simple, but effective and has everything I want.
Awesome. I love it. Best 8-bit rpg for phones there is.
Simply an amazing game. I would recommend this to any classic/retro RPG fan.
wow less than 100k! I love small sized game. could you tell us how to make this small game? dev tools, programming language, etc. Iam very curious how to make such a game.
Good classic. Dragon Warrior/Pre Final Fantasy RPG. The Sequels are Way Better
Best game indeed I love this game dude saves my data and battery😉😁 Reccommend you to try eternal lux!!
Needs sound and injured character warnings.
very good and nice game with less storage.very nice
I love these kind of rpgs, but a few things to nitpick about i guess. It'd be nice to have an objective as it seems to not have one, just go around exploring in a seemingly endless grindfest. But most importantly because of the grindfest, i just wish there were cloud saves or something because since switching phones I have to start over :-/
