Good apps quite adictive as you need to have visibility to reach next level by voting for other picture. It's still possible to progress without 0aying anything . So I will call this a good free app :) Once you reach a good level you will probably enjoy it from another point of view , I mean more enjoying picture from people than trying to level up !!

In like 2 hours I got over 2k votes after using fills/boosts. This is not a contest, you buy exposure and other people have to vote for your photos, which means people are approaching voting in terms of quantity (I need to vote enough to get my own ranking higher), lowering the overall bar of expectation. Without prizes, this is a model that would have failed

So, it won't let me upload multiple photos at once like it says I can. Then after trying to it won't let me upload them at all. I sent you an email regarding this too. I really think this is great idea, but it has some bugs 🐛

While I do really love competing in the events it certainly appears as if you aren't constantly spending money on the add on's then you really can't advance in the rankings in the events. I have been in the same tank for close to two years and I compete in competitions daily. It does keep you constantly practicing though which is the real reason I got involved anyway.

Editing: sadly have to lower the amount of stars. It used to be super fun and not time consuming. Right now this app consumes hours and hours of your time if you dont have hundreds of dollars to spare. I saw other people noticed it too. The team responds that they took action and now people get a warning if they choose pictures randomly to vote. However, while it is a great function, I believe that possibility to fill the bar takes away chances from those who are not rich and cant buy.

After getting it to work and giving it a shot for a bit over a week, I'm getting used to it enough to see that it seems to be a "free to play, pay to win" type of app. It's still fun, but it would be a lot better if we didn't have to drop so much money on the features that actually get your pictures presented to the audience.

There is NO way to upload a photo not in your camera roll. I take my photos with my camera, not phone and upload them into a cloud service. It is not in my camera roll. There isn't even a way to share a photo to the app and upload that way. Useless. Edit: Yes, you can upload from a pc. I have 10000 photos in google photos structured in folders. There is no way to use these folders so you have to scroll half a day to reach your photo (if you even find it). Closing my account.

It's supposed to be for amateurs for what I remember, but it's all just Pros, amateurs never have a chance to win. most of time the pictures in the contest are not what the contest is supposed to be about. just getting tired of trying not fun anymore

This app used to be very fun, now it seems like a "pay to win" type of app. Back in the day keys were only used to boost a photo in a challenge. Now they're needed to join half of the challenges that are available as well as creating a team. Also you used to get at least 1 (sometimes more) swaps, keys, or fills when you completed a challenge. Now it seems like you get something about 50 percent of the time. Sorry I refuse to pay for these things.

Review updated February 2022: This game has gone downhill. The algorithm requires you to vote for far too many photos just so your own gets noticed. This leads me to just randomly click as fast as possible to not waste time in my day. This defeats the object of voting for the best photos. The formula gas changed too much and I've withdrawn from my team and stopped playing because of the investment of time it requires.

They need to get rid of the "off topic". I joined a competition and was booted out because other people decided my photo did not fit the topic. It did fit the topic. I had a unique photo and now will never know how it would have ranked. People shouldn't be able to decide if the photo is off topic especially when they did not take it.

Absolutely appalling now after their new updates. Site crashes at the end of matches, updates have made even trying to load new images come up with error messages.

Please start running challenges and events suitable for all time zones. Not good when many finish an hour or less apart during our sleeping hours, but during our daytime, they are many hours apart. Disadvantages those of us competing in events or team challenges. Not good enough GS, with your response below. There are at least 20 challenges running any given day, but most finish during the sleeping hours of those in Australia and similar time zones. There are usually 4-6 that finish during our waking hours and then during our night time, there are challenges that finish anywhere between 10 mins to 90 mins apart, but frequently hourly. Why not just spread it so that the 20+ challenges finish evenly spaced out so we have more finishing during our waking hours. It does disadvantage us for events and team challenges. At the time of writing this there is one that finishes in 3hr22m, another 5h42m and the next one 12hr42m (7 hr gap). Then there are two at 15h02 and 15h41 which is during my sleeping hours. The one after that 17h31m. Thanks re my photos :-)

A photo learning experience with fun and great views of different countries, to acknowledge other photographers great work. To get acknowledgement for your own work. Loving it!

I love this app not only for seeing my pictures enjoyed by others but seeing artists from around the world that I would have never discovered because there not local or what society deems important or cool enough at this point in time. If i could change anything it would have to be smaller classes or groups for the beginners.

It's really fun for those who just want to show their photos. There are some challenges where you can be selected to showcase your work in a gallery, but don't expect a monetary reward. This is not an app to make money, it's an app for bragging rights. If you're invested, you can make good friends. The algorithm for getting your photos front and center to be voted on isn't the best, it favors those that hang out on the app constantly to vote.

I love this! I've been published 5 times now. It's a fun game that puts your Photography skills to the test and lets you compete with others ALL ACROSS THE GLOBE! Real publishing opportunities, real prizes, and best of all, the basic competition is completely free AND you get a free website from it!

This App. Is so much fun. I have a Pixel 4a 5G & they Camera on it is amazing. So now I can have a little fun with the Pictures I take. I also find myself taking more Pics just to have something interesting & different for GuruShots. Good Job.

Seems to be the same on both my devices 1 a Samsung the other a cheaper android but as soon as I open the ap on either it opens breafly literally a few seconds and then crashes and closes ap

Love the app! Purchases are way too expensive! If the purchases would be cheaper, I'd be more inclined to buy something.

pretty fun, I like the challenges, but i do believe it's a bot run app. plus would be better if it explained how to do and what to do, a little bit more of how the app actually works.

Challenges are somewhat repetitive and feels like voting is based more on number of taps rather than quality of photos. Still fun and great community. 4/5

I like the app. The challenges are fun motivate me to improve my photography skills. My only concern is that you can promote any photo by purchasing expensive boost keys. You rely more on strategy and boosting, rather than the quality of your photo. It's a bit disappointing.

The game/app is a great idea, but it requires to vote too many times/pics. Really not worth it. If they reduce the votes necessary I'll install it back.

Waste of time. Buy more swaps, u win. Ordinary phone photos will get all-star / exhibit lvl if u buy the passes. Purely waste time and no skills needed. And unsure why vertical photos is considered a taboo in the app. Even if you app developers deny the vertical taboo, it had been spreaded to every team. We will be kicked if insist to use. The so called "strategies" are swapping highest voted photo at certain "timing" will earn u a confirmed success swap regardless what amateur photo u swap in.
