Great app and i have recommended it to lots of people. It easy to use has great visuals. Comes with pre workout programs but easy to create your own. Only one issue the new version has disabled the play list feature.not sure why they did this but that's a real disappointment..hence why a 4 and not a 5
I'm thrilled with this app- I found it pretty intuitive to use. It's better than I thought, in that I can save so many different combinations of intervals, name them and arrange them according to my daily training plan. The REALLY great cherry on top of the sundae is I can hear both the interval and my music app at the same time- even if I'm listening to loud, driving music. I liked the free version so much I upgraded to the add free to support the company.
Beautiful app but there are a few drawbacks, some of which are really significant: 1) If music is playing, plenty of times when the countdown/beeper starts alerting, the music would go down and never back to normal unless I close the app and reopen it. 2) Can't copy/replicate days or individual exercises. 3) Can't sync exercises between various devices or integration with Facebook. 4) Crashes when there are other apps open in pop-up view. I paid for premium, but didn't get premium features.
Straight to the point app where you can set workouts in order, length and even colour them to differentiate the difficulty if you want to do so. However, the display is cut off so instead of seeing how many seconds I got left, I only see a cutoff timer. The app still works but it would be good if you can see the final seconds of your workout instead of 0:0__
I has several of the physical timers and still use one on occasions. Have used this App for a good few years now as a premium user and can agree with others comments about volume dropping. My biggest annoyance is that you HAVE to have the app open and screen on to use, every time I swap the app to adjust playlist or even turn the screen off the timer either crashes or stops. This is a hugely annoying and has meant I've started using other apps.
I've had and broken two of the timers. When the app came out I was stoked, I've used this app for years now and updated phones and using apps along the way, I'm increasingly disappointed with inability to use different music apps in the background without losing volume, using the default playlist within the app is now impossible as the app doesn't recognise my playlists. It used to be a simple and great workout tool which should still be a 5 star rating, used to.
I have used this app for years and loved its ease of use, all the different ways to set timers and numbers of intervals...super convenient. THEN last week the timer updated and the countdown will not countdown 3...2...1 like it used to even when I set it to. Can not hear the beeps at all even when I set the volume all the way up in the app. I use this timer when instructing classes and the update makes it totally useless because I have to watch it and count the timer myself. SUPER disapppointed.
I would give this app 5 stars except for the fact that when I have music playing and the 3 sec. Count down comes up the music volume lowers and forgets to come back up I would consider the paid version of the app if they would fix this 1 problem. So why would I want to give it 5 stars, it's very easy to use , I can store at least 10 different timers , the timers are so simple to setup store and recall and to use , please fix the volume issue please
Comparing to the iOS version, it's clear that gymboss doesn't care about their Android app. Ads are awfully positioned, and the app doesn't work in the background. The UX is clunky and outdated. There's no way to sync between devices. They simply don't care.
It was my favorite workout timer. Very easy to set my own workouts. But it has been very glitchy. The music would lose its volume, random crashes and now it's saying my playlists have no music in them.
I like that you can create different interval and rest times. Easy to use and intuitive. I wish there was a way to save personalized workouts to transfer to devices
I've used this app for years, always with the same bug: if you play music and run the app it will give volume problems. Enough, going to uninstall.
It works. But I can't understand why a simple app like this crashes all the time when it is in the background. Works fine while in use. Android warns me that it is a frequent crasher.
Needs a vibrating option for the end of the count downs/ at each interval. Only have sounds. Hopefully the next upgrade contains this feature.
Good for training routines. Connects to speaker no problem. Have problem with setting the end of session bell tho'
I payed to go premium only to get rid of the annoying "Go Premium" screen. And guess what? It's still there! I feel robbed! I want my money back! Other than that, the application is fine.
Glitchy. Inconsistent as to whether it will work, and if it does will arbitrarily stop. Very frustrating.
I paid for more colours and more timer sounds. The sounds work, but the colours cause a forced stop every. Time
Good program except that it will randomly stop if its not the top screen running program. Kind of annoying when trying to do timed sets
if the screen isn't locked it works great but with a locked screen it doesn't keep proper time. needs an update bigtime.
I bought this one. Im too old for those 2hour Bro-Split sessions. This little timer keeps me FOCUSED. 5-30min functional tabatas with kettlebells, TRX, & Calisthenics. I have set up multiple times depending on my daily demands. There's color codes for different SH!! and you can label your rounds, circuits & workouts.
Have the real life version of this. I was hoping that this would be awesome as well. It doesn't work at all. Can't set up s***. Uninstall and find another app.
can't play playlists if you're not using the phone's default music app. outdated UI.
Last software update in 2015? No wonder the functionality is so non-intuitive and basically unusable.
Great app! it helps me to keep me on time and on script when I am training a group or an individual or even myself.
Love this app. Can't do my intervals with out it. Easy to use and accurate!
You can't read the description of the exercise you're doing because the ad is in the way. There's no way to pay to get rid of ads either.
It used to be great but now it crashes so often that it's pretty much useless.
It's an awesome HIIT app. Very easy to use.
I like the physical device they make. However, there are times I don't want something my arm, and this isn't an equivalent software solution. It's quieter than my music app - turn the music down and you can't hear the app. When the screen is off and the phone is tucked into a treadmill pocket then you can't hear the app at all.
