"Incredibly it is 20 years since the release of one of my favourite films
- Hackers. Here I talk to its director Iain Softley about how this pop culture gem has gained in reputation over the years." Mark Kermode: BBC Uncut https://youtu.be/2SM-Su6gcIQ

"Hackers is a perfect example of this phenomenon. It was made at a time when the idea of “hacking” and underground tech culture was a brand new thing, or at least still in its infancy, but it was because of this film that a lot of that subculture grew the way it did. Also, the fashion. WOW." NERDIST

“You many not know his name, but if you’re a movie fan you’ll certainly know his music: Simon Boswell is one of the UK’s finest living soundtrack composers, whose work has graced films such as Danny Boyle’s debut ‘Shallow Grave’, Alejandro Jodorowsky’s mind-melting ‘Santa Sangre’, loopy Angelina Jolie cybercrime flick ‘Hackers’.”

Now. Here. This. Time Out London

"A darkened room in the basement of the Mercure Hotel in Inverness city centre. I'm looking through a cardboard visor & experiencing something called Google Cardboard. It's a 360 degree digital kaleidoscope of spectral light & colour. Accompanied by the trippy music of Simon Boswell, composer of film soundtrack such as Shallow Grave and Hackers. Simon is in room as a panellist on Raindance Presents Screenage Hacks
- From Indiegogo to Google Cardboard. Clearly enjoying the surreal sight of delegates spaced out on this head lo-fi/hi-tech mix.” XpoNorth

Didn't have any fps issues like others claim. But I thought this was a game when I downloaded it. But for real? It's just a flight through a trippy tunnel? I could watch that on youtube I don't need an app for this. What is even more suspicious is that the app requests access to device storage, doesn't explain why, but works fine when denied. That sounds like an attempt at stealing personal information. It also would not close with normal back commands. Very shady and useless app. Don't get it.

I'd like to have enjoyed this, but the music is so cringy that I just couldn't stand it, add to that the fact that the fps suffers when looking forwards (but not when looking anywhere else) and it's just a bit too frustrating.

This is awesome. I do VR stuff with the kids, and I ALWAYS end up running this app. Love it. Everything about it. Hope you got a good grade, you are talented!

Was drifting at 1st so recalibrated phones Gyroscope (*#0*# for Galaxy phone) & worked fine. Could be longer as ended whilst still buzzing of some Ebaneezers but just cranked it out again. Wkd Cool

I had to quickly take it off for a second. Thought I was going to have a seizer.

Would've loved it if it was optimized. Why do I only get 4 fps if I look forward but 60 if I look to the side? This is ridiculous - it renders all objects in front of you without any optimization. And I played it on Nexus 6P, not a potato.

As an IC engineer, and former SONY guy. I was pleased to see that. I tweeted about this app.

Far out!

I love the spirit, style, etc. behind this. My complaint is that there's no way to recenter your view and the performance becomes choppy in places on my S5. That's just one step down from Gear VR level. A lot of people use cardboard, you know, and nothing I saw in that demo explained such poor performance. It also needs barrel distortion, currently it's just in unfiltered side by side, which causes fisheye lense effect at the edges.

Great app looks amazing but for some reason this ends up has double vision yet my cardboard works fine with other apps
