Unhelpful scanner and app. Doesn't work for newer devices (smartphones, computers) and cannot connect if your tech is newer than Windows 7. Do not recommend this outdated tech and the app was of no assistance as well. I used this successfully one time and never again.

For those of you looking for other software for your Halo Magic Scanner, it uses the same software as ION Aircopy, halo Magic Scanner, Mustek iScan Air/S400w, Century , Patri Kun , IScan Fly and others. You can use the software from any of these and many versions available. Also there is a network scanning app that runs on a linux computer that allows this scanner to be used from any device on the network and even adds additional features. you can Google "teknogeekz airscan" for more info. the scanner is good . It was an innovation in WiFi scanning. Bundled software is bad.
