WHAT IS NEUROPRIMING
Halo Sport works through a scientific process called Neuropriming. Athletes wear Halo Sport before or during training, and the device’s soft foam Primers deliver electrical stimulation to the brain’s motor cortex. This increases neuroplasticity, which accelerates the optimization of neuromuscular circuitry through training. Improved neuromuscular output leads to more precise, coordinated, and/or explosive movement—whichever the athlete targets during training.

HOW TO USE HALO SPORT

During this timeframe, you should focus on high-quality and high-intensity reps. If you’re a relative beginner, you’ll likely see improvement after just a few Neuropriming sessions. Elite athletes will generally see results after two weeks.

Frustrating, using for sports practice and by the time I managed to get through the 20 minute program (about 40 minutes) because of constant reconnecting and that bloody awful annoying beeep I'd be so frustrated and angry I wouldn't want to practice. The best I ever get it working is right after washing my hair and not drying it. The primer bands are really flimsy also. On the plus side the customer support is good although it amounts to nothing because the product isn't great.
All of a sudden the app no longer pairs with the device no matter what I've tried. It still works with an old phone though, thank god. If you have an old phone I'd suggest trying that for those who have similar problems. But there needs to be an update for newer phones that fixes this issue. Update: The new version of the app fixed the issue. Thanks!
Great when it works I previously had this as 5/5. Doing workouts I'd previously done, I seem to sweat a lot more and feel like I'm activating more muscle groups than normal. However, I can't get thing to go through an entire session without pausing; I've tried everything outside of shaving my head (don't have long hair). I even bought a new priming band. Very frustrating product because it's great if it ever works, but it will pause and resume off and on constantly without adjusting.
$399 paper weight. Won't connect to the app even though it will connect to my phone. When will this be resolved? It keeps disconnecting and won't stay connected. I've tried contacting customer support, but the page doesn't exist. This is disappointing as my old tablet can connect, but my phone can't even though it's running an operating system that is compatible according to the support page. Please fix this.
Sorry, I really tried to embrace it. Sport 2. Almost never "connects" to head unless I am dripping water down my head and clamp down on the top of the headset with one hand, literally driving the spikes into my head. It may well build character, and I would guess if you're willing to go through the ridiculous 25 minutes of extreme inconvenience there ought to a pretty strong placebo effect just to justify to yourself why you did that. I am having immediate and beneficial improvement with the solution. I would give this 5 stars but each time I use the device I spend more time reconnecting than I should have to, so 4 stars. I don't think it is anything I am doing wrong - it just appears to be a finicky starting sequence. Totally worth it, though!
I still Love my Halo. I read some reviews and man..I really wish they would research the website. If you are having difficulty connecting the device, it explains that the device may need to be deleted and disconnected from Bluetooth then start a new installation. I too had issues but found help under support tab and no issues. This device is a true game changer. I am sad to learn it has been discontinued.
Their app only works on old devices. Owners of the company are pretty irresponsible on fixing the issue of simple troubleshooting by having the app compatible with new devices. Not even tech support. If there's anyone new here considering buying their product, don't even bother. The app won't connect to the headset, its pointless. $300 dollars right down the drain.
Doesn't work. Buyer beware. I have had 3 Halo and they stop working. The oriners are supposed to last 6 months to a year. and if you are lucky they might last 3 sessions. The primers are flimsy and cost $30 and they break and bend after moderate use. Today it took and hour and a half to do the 20 minutes because it kept pausing. If you are a serious athlete or want to get in shape you don't need this because of the connection problems and you waste more time trying to make it work . JUNK.
Calibration step needs to be better.. Having to press it into my scalp until I feel pain... The app and or device should remember the devices so I don't have to resync everytime I use another phone. It was Bluetooth in the headset but requires another Bluetooth adapter to play music?? Why not just use the Bluetooth it has built in?? Dumb design.
This app does not work. It stopped working a few months ago, no matter what it will not pair now I have useless headset I am at the point with halo sport that I just feel cheated, only one ear phone ever worked on my unit and the app is garbage more likely to make you miss your workout from pairing issues then anything. Performance decreasing device and app. Total waste of money.
Absolutely useless. App doesn't work. Every update is worse than the last. Both Android and iOS, same issue no contact no matter what you do. At least before, the initial version, you could get some use out of it if you don't move. Now, you can soak the primer with salt water, and hold the band on your head so that every nib is in contact with your head sit as still as a statue and still nothing. Fing ridiculous.
One nib has broken. Thus it would be nice to either be able to buy a new primer band, or get the app to work without 100% connection. I can get up to 90 procent
it's good product but.. the headset tens to slide off or move and disconnect conductivity when your bench pressing. the position of the head when you're lying down has the headset move away from connecting to your scalp or head. Incidentally I kind of wish it was a higher setting than just 10 I have the setting at 9 or 10 just to feel a little pinpricks. wish it was more
You guys release a $600 product and don't even have an app that works reliably? My app (latest version) - constantly telling me it can't connect to the internet (all other apps work fine) - keeps losing connectivity with the Halo device hence preventing me from gradually increasing the charge intensity (eg. from 5 to 10 over 15 mins). - takes a long time to connect with the Sport in the first place (and of course keeps 'reconnecting' unsuccessfully subsequently) Please fix this asap
Updated application. No longer works, it forgot my headset and won't reconnect. Had to uninstall and reinstall was able to find it. Crashed part way, yet headset was still priming. Also difficult to keep connection overall.
I've been enjoying my Halo sport 2 for a few months now. Edit - this stopped working for me months ago. Followed all the toys, no luck I bought a recharge kit, didn't work. Bought a new band, didn't work. It was fun while it lasted. No firmware updates, no real guidance. It's a shame.
The app is super buggy and fails. It fails even when I'm uninstalling it! That's how bad it fails. I keep pressing uninstall and it acts like I pushed the button but nothing bo response. I leave the app store and come back later, it still says its installed. Wow.
Hurts my scalp and only 3 settings... what about alpha and theta and delta 🤔 kinda sad to only see left and right and body frequencies ... and no updates or more 😕 seems like that would be the easy part. Waited 2 years for 3 settings binaural have thousands of settings weak
App does not coincide with what is happening on the Halo 2 headset.Bluetooth pairing seems to get interrupted frequently, vs pairing with my car on a 40 mile drive. It seems to lose LTE connection,
I'm a professional keyboard musician who was diagnosed with focal dystonia of the right hand in 2003, a neurological disorder for which there is limited treatment. I purchased my Halo Sport about 4 years ago and I'm convinced it has helped me retrain my right hand to learn to play correctly again. An invaluable tool.
Great idea; poor execution. They dont stay connected no matter how hard you press, or how often you soak the foam tips-which after only two days, are already showing signs of ware and tear. Really disappointed with this so called "premium" product. Should just cut cost on packaging (because it does come in a nice box- and cut the cost of the headphones for consumers. i don't want to hate on it too much, but for the cost, they basically ad up to overpriced, average headphones.
Please do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this product it's HORRIBLE!!! I truly hate writing reviews because it always seems like people want to complain but I feel like with this product I must. I'm on my second Halo 2 headset this one is worse then the first one, pairs but now says can't find the headset prior to that horrible contact and I'm bald so no hair to interfere!!! Customer service is nonexistent it's a computer response etc etc SAVE YOUR MONEY PLEASE!!!!
Flaky. Headset and app frequently lose Bluetooth connection and need re-pairing. Have been in contact with Halo customer support for nearly 1 year now. Will continue to see if I can get any help.
The halo1 worked for at least a year, the halo2 os useless does not work (1on 10 it Works). The proming process is not possible to go through without a good contact problem... Really upset and desapointed. Plus the response of the halo team is ...wel here is no response from them. Please bring back the halo1 ( plus i don't like having Bluetooth headset)
UPDATE [12 Feb]: Halo Sport was recently acquired by Flow Neuroscience. Despite Halo going off the grid, Flow Neuroscience has been very transparent and responsive. I can confirm new Dev team has fixed the pairing issue and does in fact prime. [6 Feb]: New update no longer allows headset to pair in order to prime. Headset is now rendered useless. It appears the company is no longer in business and there is no helpdesk to respond. Please fix asap.
While the device itself was great. For a product that cost me over $800 the support was horrendous. As a result I have had a $800 piece of junk hanging around. What's worse is that over 12 months ago their support contacted me regarding condition of the prongs on the band. I took photos as requested. Never heard back. Tried contacting support a further 3 times at least. NO RESPONSE. Including a month ago. I've now not been able to use the device for over 12 months. This is the last attempt.
