Ham

Open Source Ham Radio App for Android.
Solar / calculated band conditions, Maidenhead Grid Locator & Callsign lookups via QRZ.com XML subscription.

If you have a non-premium (free) account on QRZ.com, you will only get the name and country of callsigns. We are looking at offering more callsign databases. Many free sources only contain US hams, which is of limited use for many of us.

If you experience a force close (crash) please press the "Report" button to submit it for analysis.

Also in addition report any issues or requests via email. Include device, android version, app version. Without relevant information, nothing will get fixed.

Developers wanting to contribute to the project: submit pull requests on github.

Displays HF propagation just fine. Very nice app as it is very small, not bloatware with extra "features" aka eye-candy. Also like UI which is kind of oldfashioned but clear and informative.

The app stopped working. It no longer reports solar conditions.

This works on my motorola milestone. I have 2.1 and it has excellent features. I like call sign lookup and the grid info. And thank you for the app.

This app never fails, well rarely fails. It has most of the information any ham would want except for the MUF data set, that would be a great addition for this app.

Decent app, although the UI looks like something from the days of Froyo. Perhaps consider adding hamqth for the call sign lookups instead of qrz.

App stopped working and I sent email to developer only to have it returned .

It says solar terrestrial data unavailable. Lags trying to load solar data. Seems abandoned.

I'm finally able to provide a positive review and rate it with 5 stars. The program is now more stable than it was. We finally have reliable propagation reports. Don't know what took so long, but it's great to have regular reliable information !!!!! I like being able to finally give it 5 stars !!!!

Useful, nicely done. Be sure to uncheck the "Horse Puckey" option in settings. (Inside joke.)

Why does call lookup not include QTH and other info? Please add more details. Thanks!

Needs a subscription to be useful, not this app's fault but would have appreciated that being in the description.

Solar data very useful, easy format to read. Wish callsign lookup didn't require QRZ subscription.

Just use the web browser instead and save some space on your phone.
